This has happened with 3 SB's in a row.

• we chat online and it goes well.
• we M&G and it goes well.
• we discuss health history, boundaries, mandatory use of condoms, etc. etc. including agreeing the need for up to date STI panels.
• all parties are ready to book a 2nd date with intimacy on the table.

And then... she can't manage to get an STI panel done. Her doctor is booked for months, she got one recently but only for some items, her ride fell through, she says it is booked and then ghosts. In all cases, SB is happy to move forward without sharing their panel. I get tested regularly and have mine on tap. I offer to pay for theirs.

I don't understand how someone who wants to do this does not have ready access to test results. Are folks just this cavalier? Do SD's just not care? Maybe the glut of horny SD's in my area has them just saying "whatever" to STI testing?

This seems like it should be a priority for all parties.

I started in Sugar last November. I am based in Seattle. The platform was Seeking. At the time I observed:

• multiple SB's responding, ready to meet
• PPM expectations at mid $xxx
• M&G PPM requests were rare, (I rejected them)
• low enough competition that I could wait a week and make a decision between several SBs

I met a great SB, had a solid 6 months, but now for health reasons she is stepping away. Ended on a positive note.

Now I am back in the market, still on Seeking in Seattle, and wow things have changed in 6 months!

• SB's not responding at all, or flake quickly on the platform
• PPM expectations just shy of $xxxx
• M&G PPM requests common
• PPM requests for non-intimate dates common
• high enough competition (I assume) that I need to pin down a M&G immediately after a SB comes on the the platform if I want to ever meet them

Chat GPT (FWIW) suggests that this is combination of temporary factors:

• bonus season in big tech
• convention and personal travel seasons heating up
• seeking advertising campaigns
• sugar in media, eg the new season of Euphoria features Sugaring
• Scammers targeting hot markets

...this has been going on for about a month now at least.

What I am wondering is: have folks here seen this kind of seasonal spike to be followed by a retrenchment before, or does this represent a more long term adjustment? Other thoughts?
