Did the all of the Vong models up until VongX use that same funny-looking ti tip? The one that was standard on Vongi?
Those of you who have it, what do you guys think about that tip?
Edit to add: That tip looks a lot like the 2021 Omni tip. Has anyone compared them?
Does VongX tip work OK with Bonger? I've read about some of the weirdness, and thought I'd better check.
I think I may have just discovered a potential source of a lot of beginner confusion.
On the "How to Use" page on the Dynavap website--which is likely the first place many new users go for instructions, and which I hadn't visited in a long time--the instructions show the torch pointed around the middle of the cap, and the caption to Step 5 reads in part "Heating will take ~7 seconds."
Excuse me? In what world does a Dynatorch held 1 inch away heat a cold M to click in 7 seconds? Using the same exact tip, cap and torch, even if I heat right around the top of the cap, it takes longer than that, and the hits won't be very satisfying. Usually, I'm pointing near the base of the cap (or even below) and *shooting* for about 20-25 seconds.
How long does it take you--using your best torch technique--to heat M to click with a standard cap?
I have a new Venty and I want to add a WPA. Has anyone tried both the POTV and Seaky Pete versions? Pros and cons? Any preference? Are there any better solutions?

Is the Simrell Hydro compatible with my YLL IH 2.0? I have a Wand, too, but I'm better set up to use the YLL where the Hydro would live.
I have a Dynavap Hyperdyne that I don't use much. Would that stem make a suitable platform for the Simrell head (with threaded adapter) when I want to use it away from my nook?
