Question, diuretics

Did any of you take diuretics for swelling around the stitches after circumcision? My urologist prescribed me a diuretic because of the swelling. I asked another urologist about it, and he said, “What does a diuretic have to do with this? It has nothing to do with that kind of swelling.”

is this type of swelling normal?

I’m 5 days post-op and I’m quite worried about the swelling. Most of the examples I’ve seen online show a uniform “donut” swelling around the incision line, but mine seems different.

Has anyone experienced a similar type of swelling around day 5? Did it eventually resolve and heal normally?

Attention: unpleasant photo

Sorry that I have to show this, but I am very worried. I think the swelling is very large. It is already the fifth day, and I am following all the procedures. The doctor told me to keep the penis pointed upward toward the abdomen so it doesn’t swell, but it is still this swollen. Please tell me what is happening and whether I should go to the clinic.

Circumcision, Day 4

Had a circumcision at 24 due to pretty bad grade 4 phimosis.

Honestly it didn’t really bother me in daily life even sex with a condom was fine but I started getting a slight burning when urinating. Went to a urologist just to check it out and he basically convinced me to go for surgery. Now I’m in what feels like hell (even though I know deep down it was necessary for a bunch of reasons).

Surgery was done under spinal anesthesia. Day 1 was rough I literally couldn’t sleep at all and ended up taking so many painkillers my stomach started hurting instead. I was discharged on day 2 and that’s when things got real.

First dressing change attempt at home almost made me pass out. Just seeing everything and touching it slightly made my heart race and the pain was crazy.

Day 3 was a bit better though I could finally walk around a bit. My doctor told me to do one dressing per day soak in soapy water for about 5 minutes dry it apply Betadine then Levomekol.

I’m also on antibiotics since day 1. I wear slightly tight underwear and keep everything positioned upward toward my stomach (doctor’s advice).

Now I’m on day 4. Yesterday felt like a small improvement but today after dressing change I’m back to burning pain again. Swelling is pretty heavy stitches area is very puffy especially on the right side.

Tried to rest in the afternoon and even fell asleep for a bit but woke up from pain. No fever though.

So yeah I guess my question is

Is this level of swelling and burning still normal at this stage
Anything I can do to speed up recovery
When does it usually get to the point where you can actually function normally again not full recovery just being able to live without constantly thinking about it

Any advice from people who’ve been through this would honestly help a lot
