Is this okay for me to say to the surgeon

I’m getting my self worried that my circumcision won’t turn out how I want it to,this is what I’m going to say.If anyone has any better ideas please let me know,”I want a low and tight but not to tight,I want it to be aesthetically pleasing and I want it to completely cure my phimosis without the chance of it returning” is that okay or should I change it up?

16 months after circumcision: does glans sensitivity ever fully go away?

Hi everyone!

I have a question about glans sensitivity/hypersensitivity after circumcision.

I was circumcised in March 2025, so it's been about 16 months. I still have some sensitivity. I wouldn't call it pain, it's more like discomfort if something rubs against the glans too roughly. For example, I still flinch if a rough towel accidentally brushes against it.

The good news is that sex and masturbation have improved a lot. I can rub the glans with plenty of lube without any issues, and oral sex feels great now.

My question is: can this still improve after 16 months, or is this probably my new normal?

In everyday life I'm doing fine. I wear snug underwear without any problems, but if I wear loose underwear for several hours, the constant rubbing eventually becomes uncomfortable.

Sometimes I see posts here from people saying that after just a few weeks their glans feels completely normal, almost like regular skin, and I can't help but compare my experience.

I'm not complaining, though. My circumcision was done because of chronic balanitis, and that problem is completely gone. Overall, my quality of life is much better, and I definitely don't regret the surgery. I'm just curious about the long-term sensitivity and whether anyone else has had a similar experience.

Thanks for reading! I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar.

What does it feel like to be circumcised ultra low and tight ?

I am currently uncircumcised but am considering the procedure, specifically aiming for an ultra low and tight circumcision. I have no medical need for it, but I find circumcision —and this style in particular— very aesthetically pleasing, and I want to eliminate any movement of the skin on my penis. For those who are circumcised very tightly what is it like ? Can you describe the sensation of tightness, as well as the sensations during masturbation, vaginal intercourse, and oral sex ?

Day 17 - Question about swelling and glans coverage

Hello everyone! I'm on Day 17. Healing is going well generally. I've had no issues so far beyond some minor swelling still being around. I'm generally liking the results from the circumcision (got it for both cosmetic and medical reasons).

My question has to do with the glans coverage I get when I'm sitting a certain way. That's the first image, with me sitting straight. The second image is when I'm leaning back. Images 3, 4, and 5 are of swelling I still have, with it being really pronounced on the left side still. The right side (Image 5) has basically completely gone down.

Is the glans coverage I get when sitting a result of swelling? The first week had a lot of coverage from the swelling, even when standing, so my instinct tells me it's still that. But just curious what others think and what their experiences were.

Also, I am a grower if that factors into anything.

Thanks!

I'm so glad I got circumcised

I (M29) had phimosis for a number of years and finally decided to get circumcised last year. I was worried about loss of sensitivity, that it wouldn't look good and that I'd regret the decision, which is why I kept putting it off. About 9 months later I couldn't be happier with my decision to finally go ahead with it. I don't think the cut will ever look perfect as an adult but I'm pretty happy with the way mine turned out. I still have enough loose skin left that there's some motion during masturbation and sex. And everything feels so much better. I'm sure there is probably some loss in sensitivity, but actually being able to touch the head during sex is infinitely better than having uncomfortable tight foreskin. I got mine done in the UK on the NHS and I only had to wait about 2 months for the operation and all the medical staff I spoke to were super helpful and answered all of my questions.

So if anyone is in a similar situation that I was, I'd encourage you to just book an appointment with your doctor and discuss options.

Day 18 after OP (Revision?)

Hello all!

This is day 18 after OP

I'm starting to get worried now. The stitches are beggining to fall out, but some are still very hard and don't seem to be dissolving yet. Will these railroad tracks disappear over time?

I've bought kelo-cote gel and will start using once all of the stitches are gone. Do I need revision?

Pls answer, there is a hole where the stich was and it looks healed and I worried it will stay a hole

Excuse the pun.

First up I don’t want to cast any shade on those against circumcision or who decide to stay intact. I struggled with the decision for a long time and ultimately made the one that was right for me. If my story can help some other dudes make the right call for them - either way - well, I hope it does.

I grew up in a small town in Australia, most guys were uncut. From puberty I noticed there was something different about my dick and discovered I had phimosis (stage 4, depending on what scale you look at). No retraction whatsoever, ballooning when I piss, no regular infections but once or twice until I figured out how to clean properly. The only circ I knew of was Jewish guy and he used to get teased about it. Sexual/mental health was a taboo subject and never discussed, the odd occasion someone opened up to a mate everyone usually knew about it in a couple of days.

Growing up I saw two different GPs when I was 15 and 18, when I was old enough to go without my parents knowing. Both doctors didn’t seem like they wanted to help or take it seriously, they prescribed steroid cream without too much instruction or follow up and sent me on my way. I was too embarrassed to go back or ask for any more info, so applied it, saw no result, and resigned to the fact that I was different and it is what it is.

Through my 20s I was embarrassed for anyone to see what I was dealing with so hid from my friends any time we were naked - changing sheds, trips away, drunken antics. I heard of another guy our age getting cut and didn’t like the behind the back comments that followed about him. I was scared for any girls to laugh at it or spread rumours so never initiated any relationships, anyone that pursued me I pushed them away, and all sexual encounters were whilst incredibly drunk and unfulfilling, but I did develop a bit of a reputation of being hard to get into bed but worth it (which I quietly loved, despite not understanding). I tried stretching with Glansie but usually stretched too far and tore, then scarred tissue made it hard to get underway again.

Eventually found who I thought was the right person, got comfortable, got married, had kids, drifted apart, divorced, back to those feelings of late teens/early 20s and afraid of dating. 40 now.

Finally made the decision a few months ago and booked in for my circ. Current GP was incredible - talked through all the options, booked a specialist, and set me on a final course of steroid cream as a “just in case”. This time with the right instruction saw a slight improvement but got to a point and didn’t progress any further.

Meeting with Urologist was surreal - very relaxed, about 5 minutes, he took one look and laid out the plan. It was almost casual and put me at ease that I had made the right decision.

In yesterday for the op under general anaesthetic, supposedly took 20mins and went well however there was some adhesion at the bottom of the glands which will take longer to heal but overall Urologist was happy with the result and should make a full recovery.

Waking up today it really feels like a shitty chapter of my life has closed and a new one is beginning. I’ve had very minimal pain - comparable to or less than the infections mentioned earlier - and not currently on any painkillers. The head is very sensitive, first time it’s ever been exposed and intriguing to see, that’s the main discomfort but not too bad. Kind of like meeting my new best mate haha. Taking a piss for the first time like a “regular” guy was incredibly liberating.

Attached are before and after pics, feel free to DM any questions or comment below!

Question about frenulum area healing - day 16

Hi, everyone.

I would like to ask those who also did frenuloplasty + circumcision, how much did it take for you frenulum to look completely healed?
These photos (first and second one) are from day 16, but it looks pretty much the same today (17). It sometimes bleeds a little when I get hard while sleeping, but just a little bit. It looks far better than it did on the first week (last picture).
