Better late than never, am I right?

To be entirely honest, I initially didn't feel inclined to share that I've had success from here, not only for the original game I posted, but also for a recent USA game (v Bosnia and Herzegovina, not against Belgium where apparently they were crushed- I was fast asleep for that one last night).

But when I recalled just how adamantly some people rejected my PG post, to the point of feeling emboldened to comment that "I was on the wrong sub," and that "it didn't make much sense to post in a NSFW context." I felt it was important to show that SFW meetups are not only allowed on the subreddit but have just as much chance of being successful as NSFW posts.

When I was successful with a NSFW post last year, I made it a point to post when my success occurred (although it admittedly took what felt like eons) because I wanted the girlies to know that there are actually some quality guys lurking on here.

So here I am again.

Both times were refreshingly pleasant to just meet up for the fun of it. No expectations, or intense pressure of "will they find me attractive,"/ "will I find them attractive" etc etc.

Just two people, coming together to watch 'the beautiful game,' despite venues being packed to literal capacity.

On both occasions, we grabbed a drink and enjoyed casual conversation during the game/ hydration breaks/ half time etc. and it was a nice change of pace during the work week/ weekend, spending time with people outside my regular social sphere.

Additionally, neither of them seem to be one offs, since I still chat occasionally with them both about next potential meetups.

We are coming down to the end of the World Cup ;'( unfortunately, but I still have ongoing chats with folks willing to catch a game or two before it wraps up. Coincidently and unbeknownst to us at the time, one of those Redditors and I were at the same venue for the last France game, merely feet apart. We only put two and two together that night, after the game.

Anyways, the point?

Despite my post being PG/ SFW, I still had what I would consider a significant amount of responses (double digits, beyond the teens, and a few that still trickle in despite my post being over 20 days old).

There are so many homebodies, like myself, looking for the opportunity to get out of our house (and comfort zones) to socialize this summer, in the MD/DC/NoVa area.

So to recap, no- my original post was not on the wrong sub. Just because the overwhelming majority of people choose to use this subreddit to seek NSFW connections, doesn't mean that is the sole purpose of the sub. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Alright, alright...I'll step off my soap box... for now.

I had tentative plans to go to a viewing event tomorrow but the person has decided to belatedly be flakey.

My hope is to have someone to chill with, have some drinks and enjoy a pg outing to watch the 6pm game.

For clarity sake, this is not a fwb seeking post. I write what I mean and I mean what I write.

If you've read my previous posts, you'd know in the past I've sought (and even successfully found) a quasi-friends with benefits situation from here.

Now I'm back in my swearing off men era (don't ask- or do, I like nosey people).

Anyways! I want to get back into social/ partner dancing and would love to have someone to take classes and go out dancing with.

I am the equivalent of a bronze 1/2 in ballroom/ rhythm dances (i.e., salsa, bachata, cha cha, samba and tango). But not requiring that you are, especially since I haven't danced in just about 3 years.

At the very least I would like someone that has an interest in learning and or furthering the skill. At most, an already experienced dancer that can help me progress.

I know salsa and bachata are most common so even if just those are known/ there's an interest than hmu via chat!

Please note that hygiene is just as important for this venture.

I am in PG county so that and surrounding areas are where I'm hoping you'll be from (i.e., DC, and just over the bridge in Virginia but no further).
