Is cold approaching as a 33m worth it?

I'm 33, introverted, socially anxious, and recently got out of a LTR. I decided to push myself and try cold approaching for the first time ever, this week.

The first few were rough but I've tried being consistent with 2-3 approaches a day for the past week, 12 total. Two women gave me their numbers, but neither showed much interest over text and nothing's progressed from there, all others said they were taken/not interested.

I'm second guessing the whole thing. It feels like I'm investing a lot of mental energy for very little return. Dating apps are completely dead for me in terms of matches (used to get lots of activity when I opened them a month ago, but not anymore).

Is cold approaching actually worth the effort, or am I better off focusing my energy elsewhere?
