I might be able to get a vaginectomy in the (hopefully) near future!
The national hospital in Norway (also called Rikshospitalet) might offer to do vaginatomies soon! I was at a summercamp for trans people in Norway where Riksen talked about their hormonal and surgical practice.
They haven’t offered vaginectomies until now due to complications. In their experience full meta with vaginectomy turned the complication rate higher. But because of new international research where there’s shown that full meta + vaginectomy actually lowers the complication rate it means that they likely will start doing it very soon! (They just need to have a few meetings first) AND I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT IT! I had originally planned to have it done a few years down the line, because of financial reasons. But now I met get it for free in the near future🤩
