Would you assume the date is still going ahead if the other person doesn't talk to you for a week or even the day before to confirm? I've come across a lot of flakes so it's tricky to tell sometimes

Started talking to some redditors and one account was already suspicious as it looked like a new throwaway account... We started talking and getting to know each other and even planned to meet in a few weeks time. The next day, the account was deleted and the social account we chatted on outside of Reddit was nowhere to be seen. Conversation cannot be found. We even verified with each other for face pics to check both was legit... Is this normal? Do you hotwives come across this alot?
