Genuinely some of the best parts of this episode. Never thought the day would come when I'd appreciate Tommy so much.

The look of the one who is gonna steal Tremolo from every MG or SG in Episode 12 (me for sure).

Less than a day to experience peak again. See you in a month or more, DIKs, HOTs, maggots, everyone! Enjoy your playthroughs!

Two more things before diving deep into the new Episode. I'm waiting for it like I never did with any other games.

  1. I'm on my way to end my second Sage Playthrough and it's my first time ruining Tybalt's presentation. Seriously one of the best moment that I got to experience just now. Sorry Jill fans for that stupid picture with Tremolo laughing, but her expression is priceless.

  2. Call me crazy, but for Episode 12 I hope for a reconciliation between Josy and Tommy. Maybe for a common goal. His words during Halloween party, to me, are more than what we think. And his actions too, when that guy insulted Josy. We didn't see it but he sure beat his ass! There must be more to it. Josy, are you sure you are not like your step brother? Just look at you, how beautifully alike you are. 😏

The wait for Episode 12 is killing me and playing tricks on me, I'm sorry you have to witness my ravings like this.

-Bella will thank you, but you'll never know if she reciprocates or how things will turn out with her.

-For Jill it's her first declaration of love, she genuinely doesn't know how to respond except laughing nervously.

-Sarah, together with Quinn (but I'm not so sure about her anymore), doesn't give a fuck about love, but they show it in a different way. She is sorry for you, there's no space for love in her life.

-Who doesn't love Sage?

-Getting into a throuple like that is a big risk. We know that in certain conditions they reciprocated, but in an alternative reality they know it will, probably, never work.

-Quinn will laugh at you, you made her eat too much Broccoli. GTFO.

-Zoey can be goofy as Tremolo, I imagined her replying with finger guns (pew pew!) like he did to Tybalt after the night with Jill. And that's her way to say it back.

-Rio knows everyone love her. Meow!

-Lily will ask you why you ended up loving her when she told you not to do it, giving you that look of "Dude what the fuck?"

-Jade just wants a toy boy to use, and if you ever try to declare to her like that, she doesn't waste any time to make you feel like a piece of shit.

And here we are, with the undisputed winner of the tournament. 'You're Easy to Love' gets the win! I know that some of you probably won't agree, and that's fair, but I think this is kinda deserved for how important and full of emotions that scene is. ✨

And I leave you with a little collage of the protagonist of that scene, showing you how is very easy to love someone who looks at you that way. Not gonna lie, I'm dreaming of a solo path with Josy in the next Episode (please DPC 🙏🏻).

And I'm already preparing a new tournament with other iconic scenes and musics, since I've read all your comments in the previous posts with some suggestion. Indeed, I take this opportunity to ask you if you have a particular scene in mind that you want in the tournament. I'll probably maintain the same number, so 16 scenes.

Hope you enjoyed it! Till next time!

u/BO_Threshold — 1 month ago

This was probably the easiest round, almost all votes for Easy to love that goes to the final! Even though I didn't vote for it I'm still happy, it truly is one if not the best scene in the game, and it deserves all the recognition in the world.

Presenting you now, the grand final! Two very different genres of music that shaped two big and important moments in game.

The Halloween party, with its energetic and dancing flow from the song Welcome to the Carnival, that makes you move your head and body constantly to the rythm (don't lie, you did it).

https://youtu.be/BLzXVMjTDpY?is=tyVdBPmjqDtgtkJc

And the last round winner. A sweet, romantic, yet powerful song with an incredible beat in the background, showing us the perfect chemistry between two people who love eachother, dancing and forgetting the world around them.

https://youtu.be/UwIIxyIFUb8?is=i\_zrj3QLio-8UAvM

I waited a bit more for the last round, and I'll do the same for this final, giving you more time to see the post first, decide, and then vote the winner. It's not easy. I never imagined that this song and scene with Josy would make it this far, but it actually deserves it for how well it's made and for what it communicates to the player. Therefore, my vote goes to Easy to Love, with a very small, slight preference over Welcome to the Carnival (an opening I will never skip no matter how many playthrough I'm doing and I'll do. Damn you Tiffani, I'm still having difficulties with my vote..).

u/BO_Threshold — 1 month ago

We have the first finalist! For very few votes (1/2), Welcome to the Carnival wins this round, and will face the winner of this next challenge. ⤵️

I think Josy will play a big part for this. If you think about it, both scenes start and are about her too.

No explanation for the first one, I think the look she gives to Tremolo is enough for you to understand the meaning of it, how both of them are in love with eachother (depending on your choices, of course).

https://youtu.be/UwIIxyIFUb8?is=tmbgnoGRVKLHy\_Nc

And the second, well, 'Maybe Someday' tell us about being ourselves, and not be afraid of it. Personally, again, this one gets my vote for the reasons I already explained in previous posts.

https://youtu.be/lyq2abPh2hE?is=TbCLdIPZcy4y7Sds

I'm so sorry for Josy and her moment, because it's incredibly well done and told. Plus, it's the scene that made me appreciate her more than before, putting her in my favourites LIs not only in BAD, but in all AVNs out there. But the emotional rollercoaster that Episode 7 finale gave me is on another level.

u/BO_Threshold — 1 month ago

Everything is set for the semifinals, with the last, close win for Maybe Someday!

And for the first semifinal, we have two big scenes that received a lot of appreciation and votes, and love in general. We can call it a missed final at this point.

The amazing Halloween sequence with Welcome to the Carnival.

https://youtu.be/BLzXVMjTDpY?is=V9hSZT08rt3sLWdf

Or the scene of Zoey finally declaring her love for Tremolo, under the words of Don't forgive me.

https://youtu.be/\_gnn0OTPpQE?is=a8FT1e7otvCmTIVW

Tough one, but even though I learned to love Zoey, Welcome to the Carnival gets my vote. Must be the perfect harmony between the beat and the scenes. Or maybe, again, that wink of Tiffani that is making me question every decision I took in this game. 😮‍💨

u/BO_Threshold — 1 month ago

Excited for the news about S3/Ep 12 I almost forgot about the contest. Except by one, all the votes and therefore win goes to Don't forgive me!

Ending the quarter finals of the tournament, we have two big, emotional and deep moments.

On one side, once again the voice of Beza as a backdrop to the scene of Derek showing vulnerability, empathy, and the desire to protect and always be there for her sister, the only person he truly loves, comforted by his one and only true friend. The calm before the Snow.

https://youtu.be/sXraPyPkq1M?is=1J71w4ToljwlP3CR

And the other side, a montage of scenes and sequences that will always be remembered by all of you/us to be the perfect ending for an episode (before Ep 12 will prove me wrong...), that serves as a reminder to be ourselves.

https://youtu.be/lyq2abPh2hE?is=fx20bKRnQNKsmfux

I love Derek, and the voice of Beza, and that specific scene but my heart, for many reasons, stays with Maybe Someday. It may seems childish, but this song and this sequence of pictures helped me a lot in difficult times.

u/BO_Threshold — 1 month ago

Just one vote of difference, but Easy to Love and Josy advance to the next round! Despite my vote, I'm happy with the result. You simply can't resist her and her gaze. 😮‍💨

And now, the beautiful sequence that ends episode 11, with a focus on Quinn..doing what Quinn can do best. Her "revenge" is one of the most anticipated thing of the next Episode. We want justice for Rio, and all of us are on Quinn's side.

https://youtu.be/aFTtmZ4SR0c?is=oOnswkb0jojWUIpN

Facing the scene of Zoey finally opening up and declaring her love for Tremolo, with a bit of help from alcohol. Because, as a wise boy once said: although not recommended, sometimes the alcohol do the job for you.

https://youtu.be/\_gnn0OTPpQE?is=glBzPz7iScXs8OS4

My personal vote goes to Don't forgive me. Chills everytime I listen to it, for the gentle atmoshpere it creates and the powerful words in it. DPC did a wonderful job in making me, you, all relate to this scene.

u/BO_Threshold — 1 month ago

The Halloween Party keeps moving forward (even if for few votes) winning the first round of the eight against Rising to the Top! I'm so sorry for Lily fans and also for this song, I really love it (and I keep listening to it everyday) but that party sequence is on another level.

Now, two big emotional moments. Watching from the Stars, that plays in many occasions but this one, with Jill and her sister's backstory, is the toughest one. Don't know you, but seeing Jonathan telling Jill what happened always makes me shed a tear. And that's why my vote is for this one. Not just because of the scene, but because it reminds me of something outside of the game, both in positive and negative ways about my life.

https://youtu.be/KYtN79-LTd8?is=lzIt41EDnc-C6cAF

Aaaand Josy's theme and the scene with her and Tremolo, dancing and kissing during the Dorm Party. I will always remember Elena and JB's conversation about it: "Tremolo, love? Nah, he's more of a player". I have my doubts, JB. Just look at her. 👀

https://youtu.be/UwIIxyIFUb8?is=ulEGQEnVMOrdCrY1

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

And the round of 16 ends with the victory of Maybe Someday. Too bad for that Jill's moment, but the True Colors ending is way more impactful, both song and the sequences, from Maya confiding in Sage, to discovering Chad's secret.

Now, for the next rounds, I thought to present the choices differently with a single picture.

And we start with two dancing bangers: Rising to the Top against Welcome to the Carnival.

Lily's scene where she lowers her shields and stop being the bad girl.

https://youtu.be/hcFAJ33pT2w?is=Eipi5YTs4f6Z\_0Z8

Or the presentation of the Halloween Party, probably the most waited moment for all of them, and us!

https://youtu.be/BLzXVMjTDpY?is=n78TWuw24\_LBTUs2

As much as I love Lily and her personal, private moment, my vote goes to the Halloween theme. Can't stop dancing everytime it pops up, and not only during this sequence (and Tiffani, in that scene, with that wink... 🥵).

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

And the seventh round goes to "Don't forgive me"! As many of you wrote, the song fits perfectly with the characters and what they are going through. It's like it is saying to you that, despite everything, people can change, and the past doesn't always matter.

For the eighth challenge, ending the round of 16, we have a big clash.

If perfection could exist and be represented, it would be this scene here. Perfect date. Perfect moment. Perfect girl. And I'm saying it as a Bella fan, Jill is truly all you need. Pure and innocent. Origami Pigeon sings the love that blossoms between her and MC episode after episode if you pursue her as the chosen path.

https://youtu.be/9aawEz2\_qgU?is=8rf9UIpVo-BShiFK

On the other side, the ending of episode 7, True Colors, portraying the true nature of many characters of the game, facing their demons. Olive Musique with this song reminds you that it won't be easy to find your way, but maybe someday, you will find you.

https://youtu.be/lyq2abPh2hE?is=CzZ1-fsNhEZF3ZI3

As much as I love Jill, the date you have with her, and the song playing during it, my vote goes to Maybe Someday. I started playing Being a DIK at a very strange, confusing time of my life, and when I got to this part..this song, the words in it, I truly felt them like it was talking about me and my situation. Most (or all) AVNs debut with a warning to the players: don't play it if you are going through a difficult time in your life. I might not have listened to it, since it affected me a lot BUT also helped me a lot on how dealing with some things.

Looking forward to your votes!

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

Beza - "I'll hold you Tight" wins the round against that banger of "Come". I admit I put, on purpose, in the same side both Maya and Josy moments and hoped to see them in a challenge, but didn't go as expected, even though I voted against. Just to see who people prefer between the two!

Now we have two very particular song and scenes in game that could lead to a lot of debates.

One, the moment of truth for Tremolo after discovering the secret of Maya and Josy. The scene plays out differently depending on the affinity you have, but one thing is sure: whether you choose to have a relationship with them or stay only as a friend, it's a bittersweet sensation. During the first episodes you develop a certain feeling to both of them, only to find that they lied to you. Worse, you are part of this lie. What did you choose, under the wonderful notes and voice of Bellsmarie?

https://youtu.be/XhulPo015JY?is=Wn2JSrcuPWd0JpQk

Against, a very important interaction with an unexpected return. A moment that divided a lot of people. After all that time, Zoey finds the courage to tell Tremolo something she had in her mind and heart for a long time, but could never tell him. Some people forgave her, and were ready to throw away everything they have built with other girls. Others left her there, saying that it's too late. In this moment, "Don't forgive me" sounds like the desperate act of Zoey to win Tremolo back, knowing she hurt him, and try to start over with him.

https://youtu.be/\_gnn0OTPpQE?is=yRE0ak-SEgLxZLQT

I struggle to vote here. I didn't like Zoey at first, for what she did to MC, or how she behaved with him. But gradually, episode after episode, I started to get fond of her and understand her character, the reason behind her actions, and I don't know why but this song just enhanced this feeling. It's the complex phase of that age. She is not that bad, at all. At the same time... It's Maya and Josy. More Josy for me, but this couple is both chaos and order. It's just feels so right with them, relationship or just friendship.

My heart says Maya&Josy, so, Just Peachy.

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

The last challenge wasn't fair of me, at all. And the votes proved it. It was stupid of me to put an ending like that in the tournament. At the beginning I thought that the combination of scene and music could work (I mean, the piece of music is really good), but it only fits in game. ⤵️

So, a solid win for Your Day is Coming. For the next one, I admit I did it on purpose.

This moment of Maya during the Dorm party is very important for her development; just for a night, she let go of every doubt, insecurity and fear and shows on of her best sides. Was it the alcohol? Was it Tremolo who helped it? Who knows, but once again the lyrics is so on point: "you got that power to melt all of me".

https://youtu.be/aXeRE117ZTU?is=2InYJHmMIwh2XwhR

Facing.. one of the most emotional moment (for me) of the entire game. The consolidation of a true friendship, the true nature of Derek showing us he's not just the idiot we learned to love for his weird personality. Once again, Beza touches our heart with her voice. Not to mention the ending of the episode...

"I think it's you who need a hug.

I need a hug." 🥹

https://youtu.be/sXraPyPkq1M?is=WHv37rvc8HR95M3G

Loved so much this Maya solo moment, but my vote goes to I'll hold you tight". Bros before hoes ("your sister is there too").

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

Another close win! This time is 'Easy to Love' that surpasses the iconic Bella's theme, and will face Watching from the Stars in the next round. Not an easy opponent, but nothing is impossible for Josy.

Now, we have a very particular challenge. Two different genres that serves as setting for two of the most intense and full of suspense moments in the game.

One side, the truth about the nerds, and Quinn starting her revenge for Rio. She had very, very few important people she cared about in her life. Don't you dare touch them.

https://youtu.be/aFTtmZ4SR0c?is=goPq3CycIkoEB7DT

Against... How can I describe it? As a Bella fan I was shocked during this scene, even though I didn't know what Tremolo and the others found in that room. The look of Tremolo, and the one of Bella especially, contribute in creating an atmosphere of anxiety and terror. The cherry on top was... The fucking cliffhanger.

https://youtu.be/59PTc1N2hUk?is=RZ0yt62G25IEJ\_1O

My vote goes to "Your day is coming". I want so badly to know what happened during the last scene of episode 11, but the development of that whole Quinn scene accompanied by the music is just perfect.

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

Last one was a hard one, but it's a close win for Welcome to the Carnival! We all agree to be one (if not the) of the best intro for an episode, setting the perfect mood for Halloween!

Don't hate me now for the next challenge.

One on side... I don't even know what to say. Just look at her. Find a girl who look at you the way Josy looks at Tremolo, and you'll win in life. Easy to Love is just the perfect song for these two. It can refer to both of them: the way Josy fell in love with him but also how he, before, felt something for her for the easy way she is with people.

https://youtu.be/UwIIxyIFUb8?is=PtNPPMFhvMddGK0h

On the other side, the soundtrack that can be considered Bella's theme. You can hear it different occasions and interactions with her, with the lyrics of it describing the situation and relationship between Bella and Tremolo, but when it plays in these intimate moments.. men, we are on another level.

https://youtu.be/8326mfUonNc?is=Jpx8hbkU7MYlvDQz

Even though my flair says Bella, my vote goes for "Easy to Love" about this Josy moment. Quoting someone: it was perfect. Perfect. Down to the last minute detail.

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

Couldn't expect less from a deep and moving piece like Watching from the Stars. The incredible voice of Beza contributes in touching our/your deepest parts, beating the powerful and extreme electro track of STRYV.

Now, things getting interesting. Second round of the left side.

After a long period of work on the mansion and finally restoring it, B&R must know that the DIKs are coming back, and that nothing can beat them. At the dorm party, Sit on the Crown starts to play, announcing their return.

https://youtu.be/p5AbbQYEDwM?is=QzFNByzwK--WrEYb

But another party was even more awaited. A party to celebrate the Halloween and telling everyone (especially the jocks) that at the DIKs is where you have real fun. One of the best intro to an episode, even among all the AVNs out there. Welcome to the Carnival!

https://youtu.be/BLzXVMjTDpY?is=xlZTJWLsJnfCjk1L

Don't dance too much with these. They're addicting.

u/BO_Threshold — 2 months ago

Very few comments and votes, I don't know if it was for the unclear explanation of the "game" or because you just didn't read everything nor didn't want to participate, anyway the win goes to Rising to the Top. ⤵️

Onto the second round, on the other side of the table, with two very different soundtracks.

One, an energetic, electro dance piece that gets the MC college adventure started. Un unpredictable moment that, as for me, left me speechless and with a smile during the entire time, not just because I love the genre, but also for how the scene was built up.

https://youtu.be/sbhwloykN9A?is=WIbY3zESsKxwJWbN

Against probably one of the most intense, sad and dramatic moment of the game, where Jill tells you about her sister. The words in the song are very powerful and spot on, describing how she felt and feels about what happened. And that's why my personal vote goes to this one. In a way, it reminds me of a similar loss.

https://youtu.be/KYtN79-LTd8?is=ALRCvgWm6wWfugr-

What's your pick?

And of course if you don't like the contest and want me to stop, just say it.
