Scared! Please Help!
Hi everyone,
I'm really anxious and I'm planning to get checked by a doctor, but I wanted to ask if anyone knows whether this situation is considered a realistic way HSV could spread.
Two or three days ago, I met a guy. He had what looked like it might have been a bump near his mouth (I don't know if it actually was herpes). He touched his face, and about 10 seconds later he fingered me in a river (I know crazy.) He did not perform oral sex on me.
Today, I noticed two hard, red bumps on my outer labia on the hair-bearing skin. They are:
- Separate but fairly close together
- About the size of a pea
- Deep and hard under the skin
- Tender when I touch them
- They've gotten a little bigger since I first noticed them, one is smaller than the other
They look like deep hard red bumps.
I know no one can diagnose me online, and I am going to get examined. I'm just wondering:
- Is HSV transmitted from someone touching a possible cold sore and then fingering someone?
- Do these symptoms sound more like an ingrown hair/folliculitis or something that should make me more concerned about HSV?
Please be kind. I'm really scared and would appreciate honest answers rather than judgment.
