Reddit Bans and Keeping Your Account Safe

TL;DR: Comply with Reddit’s TOS (Terms Of Service), Reddit’s Rules, subreddit rules, and post quality content.

Recently I’ve seen a lot of NSFW accounts being banned and shadow banned. Please make sure you're complying with Reddit’s TOS (Terms Of Service), Reddit’s Rules, and all subreddit rules for each subreddit you participate in.

In addition to complying with Reddit’s rules, TOS, and subreddit rules, please make sure your posts/comments are quality content. Reddit strongly encourages quality over quantity. Spamming the same content with the same title on multiple subreddits within a small time frame will make your account look like a bot/spammy user to Reddit and any mods looking at your profile. Engagement bait titles are also seen as spammy, try coming up with creative titles or just avoid using engagement bait like titles. Try posting different (relevant) content with different titles from subreddit to subreddit and try spacing them out throughout the day if possible. Advertising is allowed here in this subreddit but be careful with the amount of times you're posting your links a day on Reddit to avoid being seen as spammy by Reddit.

This advice and these tips come from things I've observed being in this space and posting NSFW content on Reddit for 7 years. None of my advice/tips guarantees your accounts safety but may reduce the chance of you being banned for spam/spam like behavior.

I will add to this post as I think of other tips and advice or if anyone else would like to add to this. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability and/or direct you to someone who knows the answer.
