Question for providers who aren’t heavily active on X/Bluesky but still successful
I know this may be dumb but I’m at a point where I just don’t feel like playing the social media game anymore. I know it’s part of the job but I’m sick of pandering to reply guys who are never going to book, uploading free “content” that gets little to no engagement, and having to tiptoe around everything I post so that my account doesn’t get banned (this is specific to X). There are so many other things that I dislike about the social media marketing part of this job, but I’m not going to sit here and list them all out.
I know social media is/CAN be worth it in this industry but I want to hear from providers who don’t depend on social media to be successful because that’s currently all I’m surrounded by. Can any providers who aren’t on social media or don’t heavily rely on it to be successful share any tips or advice please? Just being on the ad sites doesn’t cut it anymore.
If the bottom line is social media is necessary to be successful in this business then I accept that, please don’t lecture me about it. I just want to pick some brains and see what others think or have done when in this situation and shared similar feelings.
