Ever since I was really young, I remember the very first navels I was attracted to had a piercing, so I would just love for my partner to eventually get a belly button ring. We’re currently in a long-distance relationship and I haven’t told her about this fetish yet, but definitely plan to once we’re eventually living together. Since she’s pretty traditional, I’m not really sure how receptive she would be to the suggestion.

I’d love to hear about your experiences if this was something you talked to your partner about, as well as any general advice on how to go about it. I’m not really worried about how she’d react to the fetish itself but more to the idea of getting a navel piercing.

This question sprang to my mind as I’ve noticed over time that certain kinds of navels seem to be more commonly found in certain ethnicities. For example, I’ve noticed that Indian women generally have softer bellies and deeper navels even if they may be slimmer, and black women’s bellies show some abs and their navels are more likely to be outies even if they may be thicker. Since most other features seem to be common because of genetics, I’m wondering if it’s the same for belly buttons.

Has anyone else noticed this? Do you believe there could be a link, and why this may be?
