Effectively demoted myself at work

My employer had an intern option for one of the lawyers to basically take a pay cut in exchange for lesser hours and easier work as, in effect, a secretary. That's atleast how I'd describe it. I applied for it because I wanted to try and improve my work-life balance anyways so I decided to give it a try.

This internal job offer comes with the opportunity to test my new position for one month before the change becomes permanent. So I would still have the chance to return to my original job. The month is now almost over, and I will soon have to deal with the decision I need to make.

I'm sure you guys will try to twist it around in order to make it seem like being a lawyer was too demanding or difficult for me which, as a matter of fact, isn’t the case.
