Hi babes, this might be a lengthy post! Just looking for some insight on how i can go about getting back into dancing how i used too. So i have been dancing for 4 years and would consider myself to be higher intermediate/advanced on the pole. About 2 years ago my at home pole wasn't tightened the best this one time, and i had fell and the pole crushed the top of my shoulder dislocating on impact. long chain of events later and maybe 30 dislocations, and prefaced i have hyper mobility in all my joints and tendons, i'm not a good candidate for shoulder surgery to tighten my bones to stay in. i still go on stage sets and can do any of my tricks and routine that involve core and leg strength. i've had physical therapy and there's been times where i was able to get strength to do upper body climbing and tricks. my shoulders have been doing a bit better as of the last couple months. it would be so bad i couldn't even raise my arms up straight in the air. so i'm just wondering if anyone else has dealt with related injuries or also has hyper-mobility and how they were able to work back up to the same level. i love dancing and it's still something i want to progress in. i'm just a bit more stretchy and my bones are a bit more loose than the average person. i was recently able to invert into a outside leg hang after a year and my limits right now are reaching back behind me too far and having the upper shoulder strength to hang from one hand. a goal i would like to get back is my air walk. anything helps 🩷🩷🩷
