[TW: Hypno] Professor is an Obvious Misogynist
I'm nearing the end of my first semester of my psych majorand I'm honestly starting to lose it.
I'm getting straight As, top of the class etc etc in every single one of my papers except for one. I was already reluctant to take a paper on psychoanalysis since Freud himself is such a sexist pig himself, but I thought that a university professor would have the brainpower to teach with the nuance that it deserves?
On top of him buying into Freud's theories way too literally, this guy has consistently graded every woman in the course no higher than a B. Meanwhile, it seems like every single man is getting As? I've tried taking this to the dean (who is a wonderful and strong femisnist) but somehow she doesnt seem to think there's an issue?
The weirdest part about the whole thing is he keeps arranging these one on one interviews with my female classmates. And, once they're conducted, my classmates dont seem to see an issue with his grading at all. I even had one lady (who is a member of our uni's feminist group btw) insist that men are just naturally more focused.
Anyway, I'm having my meeting soon and I just wanted some advice on how to argue with this guy. Any tips?
