I'm a 36 year old male, 5'10" tall, 189 pounds, average build, born & raised in Toronto, ethnicity is South Asian (Pakistani to be exact).

As the title says, I grew up in a strict, conservative, religious household. I was taught from a young age that it was frowned upon to speak to women, or having a girlfriend or even looking at women.

This affected me heavily growing up, especially in my teen and young adult years, where I developed social anxiety around women. All throughout my 20s | focused on my career, business school and getting a job in corporate finance.

By the time I reached my 30s, I still had no experience with women. I was incredibly shy, even at work.

Even today, at 36, I get nervous around women and it's hard for me to make eye contact with women.
