Struggling meeting not in the scene
Hello,
I’m 28 and moved to Chicago about 3 years ago. I just got out of a long term relationship about a year ago and I’m really struggling to meet people. I’ve got the apps, but I just don’t do well on them. I’ve tried the suggestions I’ve seen on here: gay leagues (always sold out, last time I tried to join bowling league it asked for a password?), tried boystown but I just can’t never seem to meet anyone because it’s loud and at the ripe age of 28, I have bad hearing. I’ve been to some other bars but they just don’t seem to work with me.
I’m looking for suggestions for any groups that are usually accepting new comers. I’m very active so can play just about any sport (minus football), and love to read, play games, etc. I’m in Evanston which might be part of the problem but always happy to commute into town for events. Please send recommendations!
