Just some bs
Just my worthless opinion on a few matters. Maybe a bit of a personal rant. First, this forum isn’t near as cult like and weird as the 7O Reddit. Mods here seem more interested in help and peace and harmony rather than playing everyone’s favorite game on here in “Who’s the more knowledgeable junkie”…
I see a lot of strength, determination, love, and helpfulness on here, but I also see a lot of garbage. Not so much this thread, but the other quit threads mainly. Stop shaming people for choosing Suboxone. We’re addicts. We all know a price must be paid for anything we put in our body. Mat is meant to stabilize, while YOU WORK A RECOVERY, and to take the time to get to the roots of your issues. But if you want to just take it a week and rapid taper off, then that’s your business and best of luck to ya. And I don’t need to hear “It was never meant for long term, blah blah”…Yes… MAT clinics have no intention of tapering you off Suboxone once you start, it has to be YOUR job and YOUR position to say what and for how long. They work for you, not the other way around. And what is 3-6 months on a medication to get some sobriety under your belt, improve your health and position, and get control back of your life? Would you rather that person to continue relapsing for another 5 years? But I back up and support anybody quitting, no matter how you choose to do it. That’s the whole point right? Stabilize, work a program, heal, taper off, go to the shot, do it right…I know Reddit is toxic, idk why I even chimed in instead of just lurking and reading like usual. Just changing things up this morning I guess. Best of luck and prayers to all quitters. Quit January, 24th.
