Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off

You’ve known Olivia for basically your entire life.

And had a crush on her just as long.

Though there was never any chance for it to be anything more than unrequited love.

It wasn’t because she was your Mom’s best friend’s daughter—it was because you never managed to get the hang of potty training.

She’s been teasing you about your diapers since she was potty trained. An unfortunate habit that she never broke all these years later.

Sure, it was never truly mean—but when you’re 16, being marched off to have your Mom change your poopy diaper in the family bathroom is Disneyland—it might as well be.

You watched her grow into the beautiful woman she is. Heard all about her thriving social life, parties, and eventually, sexcapades as you sat there in a soggy diaper, brimming with jealousy.

She tried to buoy your popularity in high school—but even the popular girl’s power of persuasion is limited when the guy she’s fighting for still poops his pampers.

Your hangouts nearly ended when you both started college. Between school and her social life, finding time to hang out with her mom and her incontinent friend wasn’t a priority.

Today was a rare exception.

It also yielded an even rarer opportunity. Your moms decided to go on a wine run, leaving you two alone.

And for some reason, she invited you into her room.

“I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever, Chris! How is everything?”

“It’s been fine, but I have like 5 midterms this week.”

“Awww, that blows. I know how icky your tummy gets when you’re stressed. You gonna be okay?”

You hate when she says things like that—mostly because they’re true.

“I’ll be fine, Olivia.”

“I’m not worried about you, silly. Just those poor diapies…”

To your surprise, she reaches out and grabs your diaper, squeezing it slowly…lingering.

Staring deep into your eyes.

“I…I…,” you stutter, consumed with pleasure mixed with confusion and shock.

“You’re still a virgin, aren’t you, Chris?”

You shake your head, but without conviction.

“Chris,” she purrs, still rubbing your diaper ever so gently, “It’s me. You don’t need to lie to me. I know it’s hard when you’re still in diapers.”

“Y-yeah,” you wheeze, not wanting her to stop despite your confusion and not knowing what to do.

“It must be so hard for you. Wishing you could be like everyone else, wishing you could escape your squishy diapers. Watching everyone have fun while all you can do is rub your pampers.”

You wince…if she only knew your Mom punished you whenever she found your stickies in your diaper.

You’re not even allowed that.

Only the soft crinkles of your diaper, playing to the rhythm of her hand, break the silence.

“Don’t you want to know what it feels like, Chris?” she whispers, squeezing your diaper. “To be with a woman? To be with…me?”

Your knees buckle slightly at her words, betraying your attempt to keep your cool.

“I know you do, silly. I can feel what’s under all that soggy padding. Feel your excitement. Do you want me to stop, Chris?”

You shake your head.

She giggles, rubbing slightly faster. “I didn’t think so. I don’t want to stop, either. But can you do something for me first?”

By now your brain is nearly short-circuiting, feeling too good to wonder why this is happening.

“A-anything, Olivia,” you moan.

“Take off those shorts, silly boy.”

You hesitate for a split second. It’s been years since she’s seen your diaper.

“Don’t be shy! You don’t want the rubbies to go away, do you?”

You pull down your shorts, exposing your yellow diaper.

“Good boy! And your shirt?”

“M-my sh-shirt, Olivia?”

“Yes, Chris,” she says, slowly pulling up your shirt.

She tosses it next to your shirt, giving a few seconds of quick rubbies in reward.

“Very good. Now. One last thing. I want to watch you make your poopies for me. And if you do, I’ll give you a special reward.”

Your brain is in an all-out civil war. You want nothing more than a “special reward,” fueled by her continued diaper rubbing.

But to poop yourself for her? As she watches?

“I know you’re going to poop soon. I heard your mom saying she can’t be out too long because you’re due anytime. Might as well do it for me, Chris…”

She isn’t wrong—your tummy has already started to rumble. But still…

She presses her hands into your shoulders, pushing you down. “C’mon, Chris. Squat down and make a big poopoo in your diaper for me.”

You let yourself squat, eyes wide as your body takes over—like a wingman helping out.

“Oh my gosh!” Olivia squeals as she hears you grunt. She slides her hand to your bum, giggling as she feels you fill your diaper.

“Good boy, going poopoo for me!”

You try not to think about how ridiculous you must look, squatting in nothing but a diaper as your crush watches on, completely rapt by the scene.

“All done, Chrisypoo? Wow! What a big mess! You do this twice a day? Your poor Mom!”

Before you even have time to blush she turns you around and pushes you on the bed. A loud squelch echoes from your diaper as you land on your mess.

“Good boys deserve their rewards, don’t they?”

She squeezes your mess before rubbing again.

Slowly.

Methodically.

You moan in pleasure as you thrust your hips into your hand.

“Slow down, cowboy! You earned more than some simple rubbies! But if you want them, you’ll have to beg for it. Beg me to ride your poopy diapie, Chris.”

You’d do or say anything for more at this point.

“P-please r-ride my po-o-poopy diapie, Olivia. Please…”

“Awww! Say ‘please be my first, Olivia! Be the first to make me make squirties in my diapie.”

You obey, too desperate and needy to care about anything but the next few minutes.

“Such a good, stinky boy! Are you ready?”

She walks toward you, smiling. Tauntingly slow.

You tremble in anticipation. Your body shakes violently as she straddles your overworked diaper. As you feel her through your diaper.

If it feels this good through your diaper, you can only imagine what it’s like to be in her, without your pathetic padding in the way.

“You didn’t make squirties already, you silly boy?” she teases as her hips gyrate.

Her thrusts start slowly at first, building speed with every pass. Pleasure bubbles in you like a volcano ready to erupt.

Your ragged breathing, the cacophony of crinkles, and her teasing moans fill the room, a symphony you’ll never forget.

Just as your pleasure is about to reach its zenith, you hear her voice.

“You won’t get in trouble if your mom finds your stickies in your diapie, right?”

She laughs, thrusting faster, feeling your trembling beneath the padding.

“Oh, well. Too late now! Explode for me, my stinky little diaper boy! Go on, show me how thankful you are!”

The thought of your Mom’s reaction clashes with the pleasure from Olivia’s body.

The worst possible thought at the worst possible time. Panic floods your brain—but it’s too late.

It happened suddenly and violently. You scream in pleasure as you fill your diaper with another mess.

“Good job!!” Olivia coos, stopping her thrusts, standing up, and leaving the room. “I hope it was worth it, Chrisypoo!”

You lay there breathing deeply, feeling better than you’ve ever felt before. But as the waves of pleasure recede, terror grows inside you.

Your mom will spank you right there—in front of Olivia—when she finds what you did.

There’s only one thing to do. You have to change before she sees.

It’s better to be punished for that crime, at least.

But you only manage to put your clothes back on when you hear the front door open.

“We’re home!”

“Just in time, I think Chris needs a diaper change—he stinks.”

“Chris, come here. Let me check your diaper, honey.”

You march towards your mom like a condemned man towards the gallows.

Olivia winks as your mom peels back your diaper, loudly announcing she needs to change your poopy diaper.

Does Your Mother Know?

“Oh, stop pouting, baby. Mommy thinks you look adorable!”

You could not disagree more.

Your light blue binky bobs in nervous anticipation, your arms crossed dramatically over your dinosaur-clad play shirt that makes no effort whatsoever to cover your half-filled Lil’ Comforts Teddy Bums diaper.

“Buh he gon’ fink I‘ma baby!”

Mommy just smiles. “You are a baby, dear.”

Your cheeks flush. Normally, you wouldn’t think twice about this outfit.

But today is not a normal day.

Mommy’s new boyfriend, Derek, is coming over to meet you for the very first time—and this is how Mommy dressed you? Of course you’re going to pout!

It was already a hard enough pill to swallow the day Mommy told you she no longer saw you as a man capable of having sex after being her baby for so long.

Especially when she started dating again, leaving you alone with her friends to babysit you.

As humiliating as it was to be babysat by women who used to respect you while your wife was out fucking some random guy, at least it happened away from you. Made it easier to pretend you weren’t some silly baby who lost any hope of sex.

Not anymore.

Tinkle spurts into your diaper when the doorbell rings. Your tummy feels like there’s a swarm of angry bees desperately trying to escape.

Until today, only women have seen you as the baby you are. You shudder at the idea of a man seeing you sitting on a play mat, with a bulging diaper and pacifier.

Knowing full well he’s there to fuck your wife.

You cringe at the casual, intimate way Mommy greets Derek. The same way she used to greet you a lifetime ago.

Just as your nerves seemed poised to overwhelm you, a beautiful woman timidly appears behind Derek.

To your surprise, Mommy greets her nearly the same as she greeted Derek. But why didn’t Mommy mention her?

You didn’t have time to dwell. “So this is the cutie I’ve heard so much about!”

Derek confidently walks straight to you, smiling warmly. The woman trails behind him, her hand in his.

“Hey, little guy! You’re even more adorable in person—and the pictures your Mommy showed me were just so stinking cute! I’m Derek and this adorable lady is Megan.”

As Megan smiles at you, you’re positive you see the faintest trace of a diaper under her pink floral dress.

“Benny,” Mommy scolds you for your silence, “That is no way to greet our guests. Be a good boy and use your manners.”

By now, your cheeks are a shade of red so deep only an artist would know the name. “H-hi Mithter Dawek an' Megan.”

Derek kneels and boops your nose. “What a sweet little boy you are! My Megan wears those same diapies!”

“Daddyyy! Only at night!” Megan argues.

“That’s right, kiddo! How can I forget how far my princess has come with her potty training?”

“Mhm! Only pullies now, Daddy!” Megan says, turning to you, “I’m not a baby in diapers!”

“Be nice, sweetie. He’s a long way off from potty training. Some babies need diapers longer than others.”

Mommy grabs Derek from behind and kisses his neck. “His diaper isn’t the only thing that’s wet, babe. I’ll be waiting upstairs.”

Derek flashes a devious grin and playfully spanks Mommy as she walks away. “I’ll be right up, babe.”

You wince every time they call each other babe.

“I get to babysit the baby like you said, right, Daddy?”

“Yes, sweetie. Show Daddy you can be a responsible big girl. Do you remember what we agreed on?”

“Mhm! If my pully is dry and the baby is okay when you come back, I get to come play upstairs with Daddy and Ms. Emma!”

Derek winks at Megan. “Good girl! And remember, only come upstairs if there is an emergency. Poopy diapers are not an emergency.”

“Yes, Daddy.”

Derek kissed Megan on the forehead before he ran upstairs, leaving you alone with Megan.

All the excitement you had about Megan faded away as she closed in on you, grinning with her newfound authority.

“Hello, little baby,” Megan snorted, a devious glint in her eyes. “You have to listen to whatever I say, got it?”

You spit your paci out. “Says who?”

“Says Daddy. And binky stays in, baby,” Megan commands, sliding the pacifier back into your mouth.

“Stop calling me baby! You’re in diapers, too!”

Megan rolls her eyes. “Pull-ups aren’t diapers. And besides,” Megan gloats, prodding at your wet diaper, “I’m dry, soggypants.”

“Whatever.”

“Your Mommy says you still make poopoos in your diapers. Only babies poop their diapers.”

“Shut up!”

And that you only get cummies when you make silly baby humpies in poopy diapies! Daddy lets me play with him now that I’m out of diapers!”

Her words send shivers down your spine. “N-not true!” you lie.

“Hehehe, oh yeah? Well, your Mommy showed me a video of you humping your teddy bear! That one right there!”

A stream of pee floods your diaper.

“Awww, did the baby just piddle hims diapie?” She giggles uncontrollably at the wet squelch as she slaps your diaper.

“S-stop!” you whine feebly, hating the stupid pats yet wanting—needing—her to keep playing with your diaper.

It’s been so long since Mommy rubbed your diaper.

So very long.

Suddenly, your hips thrust forward into her palm. The movement is so pathetic, so desperate, there is no denying what you were doing.

Oh no.

“Ewwwwwww! Gross baby humpies! I’m telling your Mommy!”

Terror floods your already fuzzy brain at the thought of Mommy’s reaction. “N-no, please don’t tell Mommy! I-I’ll do anything. I’m sorry!”

“Anything?”

The way Megan said anything made you regret ever begging.

“W-well, I-I…what do you want?”

Megan grabs your special teddy bear and tosses it on the floor next to you.

“I want to watch the baby make his poopy pamper humpies!”

Your heart drops. “Bu-but i-if Mommy…if she…sees stickies in my diaper…I-I…”

“What if I tell her you tried to make gross baby humpies on my hand?”

“NO! P-please…anything but that!”

“C’mon, baby,” she coos, patting your diaper again with an air of finality, “I know you wanna. I’ll even let you look at me.”

Your head is beyond fuzzy now. She wordlessly pushes you to the floor, grabbing your legs. Slowly, she pushes your left leg to your chest. Then your right.

A rhythmic dance of pushing and pulling.

Much to Megan’s amusement, a loud, bubbly toot erupts from you before you realize what she’s doing.

“Ut oh, are you going poopy, baby? Yes, you are! Yes, you are!”

Faced with the constant onslaught of bicycle kicks, the pressure in your tummy builds despite a series of bubbly toots. Each toot sounded more ominous than the last.

Megan could barely breathe from laughing, chanting, “Poopy baby! Poopy baby!” in between giggles.

Finally, the pressure hits its zenith. There’s nothing you can do to stop the inevitable.

“Awww, are you being a good babysitter and helping Benny make pushies, Megan?”

Mommy’s sudden appearance—in stunning black lingerie no less—breaks open the floodgates.

“Mpfgfff,” you grunt as a loud, bubbly mess explodes into your diaper.

“Yes, Ms. Emma! His tummy hurt and he was sooo nervous to poopoo in front of me!”

“Mgfhgff.”

“That’s so sweet of you, honey! Thank you!”

Megan beams with pride while you grunt.

“Come over here, sweetie. Your Daddy asked me to check your pull-up.”

Megan walks over to your Mommy, who slides her hand into her romper and feels her pull-up.

“Good girl, all dry! Ready to come play with me and your Daddy?” Mommy winks playfully.

“Mghhff.”

“Yes, please, Ms. Emma! But…ummm…”

“What is it, dear?”

“C-can the baby come watch? M-maybe if he sees what he’s missing, he’ll take potty training more seriously.”

Mommy laughs. “You’re such an angel, honey. But no. I don’t want my room smelling like a nursery. He’ll wait in his crib while we play. Besides, I have no plans to ever potty train him. He never satisfied me anyway. He belongs in diapers.”

“Hehehehehe, okay, Ms. Emma! I’ll help with the stinky baby.” Megan takes your hand and helps you stand up.

Your diaper, burdened by a massive mess, hangs perilously from your waist.

Between your Mommy, the continuous laughing from Megan, the ridiculously drooping diaper, and unrelenting stink, you’ve never felt more pathetically infantile.

Never felt more like a baby.

Megan slaps the bottom of your diaper. “He makes big poopies, Ms. Emma! Look at his diaper!”

“You have no idea, honey. Come on, Benny. Let’s get you in your crib. Megan, Daddy is waiting for you in my room.”

“Yes, Ms. Emma!” Megan shouts, running upstairs.

Mommy kisses your forehead. “Did you have fun with Megan, baby? Isn’t she the sweetest? She might even be your big sister one day!”

You nod uncommittedly.

Mommy leads you to your crib, handing you your favorite stuffy. The silence of the nursery is interrupted by Daddy and Megan talking.

“Oh, I forgot to mention, honey. Daddy got you a present!” Mommy says over the muffled moans.

You realize what it is.

“But remember baby. If I find any stickies in your diaper, I will spank your poopy butt in front of everyone, okay?”

“O-okay,” you whimper.

“Good boy.”

Ten minutes later, the moans from Mommy and Megan fill every space of your nursery. Not even the rapidly cooling mess dulls the throbbing in your diaper.

Or the memories of Megan’s diaper pats. And the disappointment of not getting to finish—punishment be damned.

Nothing you do gets Megan out of your head.

Surely Mommy was kidding about the big sister stuff, right?

The thought of this being a common occurrence made you shiver with fear—and arousal. You know you were in trouble as your hand drifted down to your teddy and placed it under you as you flipped on your stomach.

You humped to the rhythm of the moans on the baby monitor, imagining what it would be like to do this in front of Megan.

Your spurties came so fast and were so intense you screamed in pleasure.

The baby monitor went silent.

“If he did what I think he did, I’m going to spank him raw.”

“Let me, babe,” Derek says calmly. “We should both be responsible for disciplining our littles.”

“Not me!” Megan whines.

“Why don’t we do it together, babe. As a family.”

The baby monitor was silent again as the footsteps got louder.

You gulped as the door opened.

“Naughty baby!” Megan gloated.

Three Little Birds

“How do you say diapers in Spanish?”

“How the hell would I know?”

“Just show him her diaper; he’ll understand that.”

This was not how your trip to Mexico was supposed to go.

“Honey, lift your skirt so he can see your diaper. I don’t want to spend all day buying diapers.”

Not here, in this pharmacy, while your mom and sister shop for diapers. Your diapers. Diapers they think you need.

Diapers you proved you need.

You were supposed to spend your vacation on a beach, sipping a margarita, looking hot in your bikini.

All you wanted was to feel sexy in the brand-new bikinis you bought for the trip. Free from the crinkles and waddles that defined your life back home. Just one week as a big girl.

You should have known better.

You convinced yourself you could hide any accidents. After all, you’d either be on the beach or in the pool; what better place to hide an accidental tinkle?

It’s the type of logic someone uses when they’re destined for diapers.

You managed to hide a few accidents over the first two days. Once by “spilling” a margarita on yourself, once by jumping into the pool, and once by sheer luck. You were sitting on your balcony, enjoying the sunset, when you heard the tell-tale trickles of an accident.

But no matter. You got away with it.

Until this morning.

Those of you who weren’t too hungover or sleeping off their drunkenness met for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. You managed to drag yourself down despite your stomach’s vigorous protests.

Just typical hangover queasiness, you assured yourself—nothing a nice plate of huevos rancheros couldn’t fix.

By the time you ordered, you knew you were in trouble. Your stomach was in open rebellion.

You needed the potty.

Now.

It happened all at once. A cavalcade of events, of clashing and shattering, yelling and confusion.

You were so desperate to make it to the potty, so lost in your own panic, you never saw the waiter standing behind you holding your table’s breakfast. Nor did he expect such a sudden, violent movement as you stood up, your chair flying backward.

A platter full of food crashed to the ground, clattering loudly—drawing everyone’s attention.

Until they saw you.

The restaurant fell eerily silent, starkly contrasting with the commotion preceding it.

All eyes were on you—the woman squatting like a toddler, hands balled into fists, face red with effort.

The shock of everything distracted you just long enough to lose your battle. Your body took over. There was nothing you could do to stop yourself from pooping your pants in front of a captive audience.

Bubbly toots and determined grunts cut the stunned silence of the restaurant, somehow louder than the shattering plates.

There is no ambiguity as to what’s happening—everyone knows exactly what you’re doing.

Your legs remain stubbornly glued to the floor, ignoring your pleas to run in shame. You’re not going anywhere.

At least you wore pants.

“No way, did she seriously just shit herself?”

The next few minutes were a blur. Your mom pulled you out of the restaurant, her face full of concern. Your sister—not wanting to miss any of your humiliation—offered to “help.”

The hotel lobby wasn’t particularly large, but it felt like a marathon as you waddled behind your mom and sister in your loaded pants.

“Give me your room key, dear.”

Once inside your room, your mom leads you to the shower. “Why don’t you clean yourself off? I’ll find you a change of clothes.”

“O-okay…” you whimper.

You might have answered differently if you had not been so desperate to be alone.

But you didn’t.

While you were showering, your mom opened your suitcase and found the diapers that were suddenly not so surprising to find.

You showered until the hot water ran out, hoping your mom and sister would be gone by the time you finished.

They weren’t.

Your mom and sister sat on the bed, a stack of neatly folded clothes between them. Your heart sank when you saw it—a thick diaper in your mom’s lap. Though your sister’s smug, satisfied smirk might have been worse.

“Honey, that wasn’t your first accident, was it?” your Mom asks. “Is that why you have these diapers? Because you’ve been struggling to make it to the potty?”

“I…I…” you mumble, overwhelmed by the situation.

“Is that why you ‘spilled’ that margarita? To cover up another accident? I could have sworn I saw your skirt was wet before, but I didn’t think anything of it. But now it makes sense.”

“Mom! I’m fine! It’s none of your business!”

Your sister bursts out laughing. “None of our business? You pooped in front of the entire restaurant like a baby!”

“Hush,” your mom chided your sister. “She couldn’t help it. Honey, I only found five diapers in your bag. Do you have any more? These won’t last the week.”

She isn’t asking what you think she’s asking, right?

“Wh-why does it matter?”

“Because, dear, you clearly can’t be trusted to make it to the potty. And that means you need diapers. You must agree, or you wouldn’t have these in the first place.”

This may be worse than messing yourself in public.

Never in a million years would you have expected your mom would be casually talking about putting you in diapers.

“Just…drop it, okay? I don’t need your help!”

Your mom sighs. “It’s too late for that, sweetie. Lay down so I can get this diaper on you. I didn’t see any baby powder; we can get some when we buy more diapers.”

“I…no! I’m not letting you change me like a baby! I don’t need any more! This is stupid!”

“On the bed. Now.”

You hadn’t heard that voice in years. But it sparked the same fear it did all those years ago.

“Fine!” you squeal like a fussy little girl.

You lay on the bed, still clinging to your towel, mortified of what’s about to happen. You’re about to be put in a diaper—in front of your sister—for the first time since you were potty trained.

So much for the sexy, carefree vacation you imagined.

“Oh, stop!” your mom scolds as you resist her attempts to remove the towel. “You might as well get used to this—it won’t be your last diaper change, dear.”

“But why does she have to be here?” you whine, pointing to your sister.

“She needs to learn how to diaper you. I might be busy when you need a diaper change.”

The smug smile immediately disappears from your sister's face. “What?!? No way, I’m not changing any poopy diapers! I didn’t sign up to babysit all week!”

“You will do what you’re told,” your mom commands. “Now, pay attention.”

All you can do is cover your face in abject shame as your mom shows your sister how to fluff your diaper.

“She’s clean now, but in the future, you’ll be changing her out of a wet or even messy diaper. You’ll have to wipe her clean—and be thorough. Don’t forget her butt, it’s easier if you lift her legs like this.”

You whimper as your mom lifts your legs for demonstration.

“OMG, just like a baby!” your sister snickered.

“And then you just sprinkle her with baby powder and rub it in. Don’t be stingy, either. I’d rather her smell like a baby than deal with a rash. Up, honey,” your mom says, tapping your tush.

You obey, and she slides a thick, thirsty diaper under you.

“This is the most important part. See these? That’s the leak guards. Make sure they’re not smushed or your sister will leak everywhere. Then you just pull up the front of her diaper, making sure it’s not too high or low. Got it?”

“Mom, I did babysit for the neighborhood kids. I’ve changed diapers, you know.”

“Well, your sister isn’t a toddler, honey. These diapers are much bigger and have four tabs, unlike Pampers. Do the bottom tabs first, like this. And then the top two. Once you’re satisfied, slide a finger like this to make sure her leak guards are up…and done. How does that feel, sweetie?”

Mortifying. Humiliating. Infantilizing.

“It’s fine, Mom.”

“Don’t get sassy with me. Let’s get you dressed so we can go buy some more diapers.”

You grab the towel and wrap it around you as you head to your clothes.

“Awww, is someone shy about her diaper, sis?”

“Shut up!”

“Hush, you two. Sit down, honey. I’ll grab something for you to wear.”

“But—”

“No buts. This will do just fine,” your mom said, grabbing a skirt—a far cry from the fashionable clothes you bought for the trip.

She slides the skirt up your legs without giving you the opportunity to do it yourself.

“It’s so short! What if people see?”

“Honey, the whole resort saw you poop yourself. They won’t be surprised if they see a diaper. Besides, I want to check your diaper easily.”

“Wow, looks like I’m gonna have a lot of competition!” your sister quips sarcastically.

Your mom grabs two diapers and slides them into her purse. You pretend you don’t notice—and pray you don’t need them.

“Okay, let’s get you some diapers. I doubt this diaper will survive lunch. We need diapers, wipes, and powder, and anything else?”

“I can do it myself, Mom!” you argue, not wanting this to continue.

“Careful, sweetie, or I’ll add a pacifier to the list. That’s enough backtalk from you. I don’t want to hear another peep out of you. If I—or your sister—need to check your diaper, you will let it happen without a fuss. We decide when you need to be changed, got it?”

“Whatever.”

You try to cling to whatever dignity you have left, but you know it doesn’t matter. Your vacation is going to be far different than you imagined.

No more lounging in bikinis, sipping margaritas, getting some sun. Not when you’ll have a thick diaper between your legs. And even worse, waiting for your mom and sister to come by and check it.

Nothing says vacation like a public diaper check on the beach.

This isn’t going to be the fun, sexy trip you imagined. No chasing cute guys. The only people in your room will be your mom as she changes your diaper.

It’s going to be a long, soggy vacation.

Dancing in the Moonlight

A mobile slowly spins above her crib, barely visible in the soft, warm glow of the nightlight.

Dreamy, delicate melodies of long-forgotten nursery rhymes drift from the antique music box in the corner of the nursery.

None of this made any difference to the sole occupant of the nursery.

Peanut glared at the mobile, her binkie bobbing furiously in her mouth. She dramatically kicked off her blankets in a fit of frustration at the muffled cheers invading her nursery.

It wasn’t fair!

All she wanted was to stay up one night—one night!—past her bedtime to watch the big football game with Daddy and his friends!

It was her team, too! Daddy knew how excited she was about the game.

She ruminated about how she used every tool in her arsenal to soften Daddy up over the last week. How she went to bed every night without a fuss. Gave him her best puppy-dog eyes each morning when she lay in his lap, suckling her baba.

She even picked up all the toys scattered around her nursery without Daddy asking! Daddy’s perfect angel.

Just to end up in her crib at bedtime.

Another chorus of cheers interrupted the tranquility of her nursery. She kicked her legs at the injustice of it all.

The sudden movement, so similar to the bicycle kicks Daddy insists on whenever her tummy is full of bubbles, resulted in a stream of toots.

“Hmpff,” she pouted, even angrier that her outburst backfired.

She folded her arms, resigned to her fate, until an idea struck her. A smirk grew behind her binky.

If Daddy wouldn’t let her watch the game, then she wouldn’t let him watch, either.

Grabbing the bars of her crib, she pulled herself to her knees. Her diapered bum floating just above her toes.

The perfect position to fill her diaper.

A series of tiny grunts and ragged breaths filled the room as she pushed, determined to load her diaper.

Her only progress after a few minutes of effort was a single, terrifying toot so loud it must have been heard in the other room.

Red-faced, frustrated, and out of breath, she threw herself flat on her back. Why was it so hard? She never has to try! Most of the time, she doesn’t know she’s pooping until her diaper gets heavy!

Lost in thought, she unconsciously fiddles with her feet, pulling them close to her face.

Suddenly, everyone in the other room cheers in unison, startling her. Before Peanut can react, her diaper crinkles softly as it expands. She reflexively grunts as her body takes over, pushing more mess into her diaper.

Peanut pulls her feet closer, unaware she’s loading her diaper.

By the time she realizes she’s pooping, she’s almost done. Her diaper was already bulging to accommodate its burden. She giggles in between grunts.

Mission accomplished.

She sits up, giggling harder as the mess spreads even more. Usually, she’d avoid mushing her mess, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

As she reaches for the latch to escape her crib, she notices her favorite stuffie watching her.

Judging her.

“Don’ judth me, Dithon,” she lisps through her paci, “Dada thtarted it!”

The enormity of Peanut’s mess is immediately obvious the moment she steps out of her crib; her diaper droops dangerously as she waddles to the door. Her shirt is far too short to cover her diaper.

Had she been less stubborn, she would at least have the onesie Daddy got her for the game to support and conceal—well, at least cover—her diaper.

But no, she had to be fussy and reject it.

It takes a moment for her eyes to adjust to the bright light, though she waddles on anyway, making her way to the noise down the hall, thankful it drowned out her crinkles.

She reaches the end of the hallway, heart beating fast. Not only is she not supposed to be out of bed, but she also isn’t particularly keen on being seen in a diaper this messy.

No matter how many times she’s been around Daddy’s friends, how many times he’s loudly announced she needed a change, how many times he’s marched her to another room for a diaper change, she still squirms being in a full diaper around them.

She quickly peeks around the corner to find Daddy and get his attention without his friends noticing. To her horror, Daddy’s friend Bailey happened to be looking right at her. She tried to hide, hoping she wasn’t seen.

“Was that you, little one? Did I see a peeking Peanut just now?”

Peanut doesn’t move. Maybe Bailey will think she was seeing things.

“I did see a peeking Peanut!” Bailey coos, finding Peanut. “Everything okay, honey? Your Daddy put you to bed an hour ago.”

Bailey looks down at Peanut’s droopy diaper.

Unable to meet Bailey’s eyes, Peanut stares at the hardwood floor.

“Oh, poor baby, I bet that diaper doesn’t feel very good, huh? Come on, honey, let’s go find your Daddy.”

“M…m-bu...,” Peanut mumbles, eyes wide at Bailey’s suggestion.

“Hush, honey,” Bailey soothed the poor girl, wrapping her in a hug and gently patting her diaper. “We need to get you out of that diaper before we have a blowout on our hands.”

A hand guides Peanut forward, out of the safety of the hallway and into the living room. She feels the eyes of everyone in the room on her—and her diaper.

“Uh oh, looks like somebody needs a change!” Jane, another of Daddy’s friends, says.

“You can say that again, poor thing. Anyone know where her Daddy is?”

“He just went to the bathroom, I’ll go get him,” Larry says.

An eternity of silence overtakes the room. Peanut tries to avoid eye contact and pretend everyone is watching the game and not the helpless baby in a poopy diaper.

“Peanut, what are you doing out of bed, hmmm?” Daddy asks as he walks over to his little one, “I was just about to check on you.”

Peanut feels Bailey pat her diaper. “Probably has something to do with this.”

The others in the room groan at the game.

“Oh, Peanut,” Daddy says distractedly, watching the game, “I’ll change you after this drive, okay?”

“No, no, no, look at her!” Bailey chastised Daddy, “Her diaper is about to fall off!”

Jane stands up, giving Daddy the evil eye before turning to Peanut, “Don’t worry, little one, we won’t make you wait. Where are your diapers, sweetie?”

Peanut’s binkie bobs a bit more. “Ummm…m’nurswy.”

“Honey, you’re lucky your diaper hasn’t fallen off already. That won’t make it down the hall,” Bailey insisted, “I’ll get you out of that icky diaper right here, okay? Doesn’t a clean diapie sound nice?”

This was not the plan.

The plan was for Daddy to change her diaper in the nursery—not getting her diaper changed by Bailey right here in front of everyone!

Bailey kneels in front of Peanut with the diaper bag, looking deep into her eyes. “You have nothing to be embarrassed about, little one. It’s just a poopy diapie. Will you let us get that tushie fresh and clean?”

“M-mhm.”

Bailey tickles her tummy. “Good girl! Your Daddy always brags about his brave little Peanut.”

Somehow, despite getting her poopy diaper changed right there in front of everyone, Peanut found herself loving the attention from Jane and Bailey. It didn't matter that two girls her own age were changing her diaper and treating her like a silly baby.

Jane made the silliest faces playing peek-a-boo while Peanut giggled in utter delight whenever Bailey blew raspberries on her tummy.

By the time Bailey carefully rolled her messy diaper into a ball and slid a fresh diaper under her, Peanut could not care less about being changed in front of everyone.

Excited, incoherent babble serenaded the room—the sounds of a happy baby having the time of her life.

“There, all clean!” Bailey said proudly, smoothing out the diaper and admiring her handiwork, “Let’s get you back to bed, cutie.”

“Bu bu wa-wan play!”

“Sorry, kiddo,” Bailey said with a twinge of disappointment, “As much as I’d love to play, it’s well past your bedtime.”

Just as Peanut was about to give up, Daddy walked over with a warm bottle of milk filled with vanilla, honey, and a dash of cinnamon.

“How can I deny Bailey some quality time with my little Peanut after she wiped her tushie clean? Peanut, if you ask Bailey nicely, maybe she’ll let you sit on her lap and hold your baba for you while we finish the game. Would you like that?”

“Yeth pwease, Dada! May I pwease Mith Baiwey? Pwetty pwease?”

“Of course, honey! I’d love that!”

The last thing Peanut remembered was laying on Bailey’s lap suckling the warm milk from her baba, as Bailey smiled down at the baby with heavy eyes.

Her wet suckling continued a few minutes after her eyes closed for the last time.

She didn’t even stir when Daddy’s team won on a last-second field goal.

Sleeping like a baby.

Running Up That Hill

“Oh my gosh, this is so cute! It looks just like a real nursery! She actually lives like this? Isn’t she older than me?”

You cower behind Daddy as the new woman Daddy brought home takes in your nursery. They discuss you and your diapers so casually, so matter-of-factly that you feel like the toddler she obviously thinks you are.

“Seriously, I can’t right now. I mean, look at all the colors, the decorations, the diaper supplies! Ugh, it’s adorable! I’d have no idea this was an adult’s room if it wasn’t for the massive crib, changing table, and stacks of oversized diapers!”

Daddy laughs. “Adult? Don’t get it confused, my little pamper packer here may be older than you, but she’s not an adult, are you, Princess?”

You feel your face burning as they both look at you expectantly. “N-nuh uh, Daddy, not adult,” you whisper, knowing not to disobey Daddy in front of company.

“Good girl,” Daddy coos, giving your diaper a playful slap.

“She’s adorable! So well behaved, too! The way a good little girl should act!” she says, her voice thick with derision.

“Thank you! She’s Daddy’s special girl!”

Her face suddenly lights up. “No way, is she actually peeing herself?!?” she screams excitedly.

Daddy looks over at you. You look back at them, confused. You’re not peeing, that much you know. You would know if you were.

“Oh my god, she is!” she screams, Look at her diaper swelling! You can see her tinkles spreading! I can’t believe it!”

You grab your diaper, still positive she’s making it up. Until you feel your diaper. It’s warm. Your eyes are wide in terror.

Before you can do anything her hand is reaching down at your diaper, grabbing it as your pee continues to flow.

“It’s so warm and thick! You’re actually peeing yourself in front of us like a baby!”

Daddy looks at you, his face both confused and excited. “Did you know you were peeing yourself, Princess?”

“I-I-I…,” your eyes fill with tears, “D-daddy!!!”

“Oh, come here, silly,” Daddy says, wrapping you in his arms, “Looks like you’re finally unpotty trained! You should be excited!”

Becoming unpotty trained had been your goal when you started wearing diapers. But that was before you truly understood the reality of life as Daddy’s diaper girl.

All you wanted was to wear diapers. Maybe have Daddy tease you here and there for them. Just basic, casual fun.

Like all diaper girls, you thought you could have your cake and eat it too. It’s adorably naïve.

You actually believed you could wear diapers 24/7, having Daddy care for you, check and change your diapers and still be treated like an adult. It’s absurd.

If you wear diapers like a baby, squat down and fill your diapers with stinkies like a baby, and rely on your caregiver to change your diapers like a baby—surely you cannot expect to be treated anything but a baby.

“Wait!” she screams, “She’s unpotty trained?! Like she’s been wearing diapers so long she actually needs them? That’s so pathetic, I love it.”

It’s too much for you. You won’t let some girl younger than you tease you.

“I’m not a baby, you bitch!” you scream, stomping your feet.

You knew you were in trouble the moment you said it. Daddy looked at you as if you just slapped him. Thick, heavy silence hung in the room as they both stared at you.

“I-I-I d-didn’t m-mean it, D-daddy,” you sob.

More silence.

Daddy looks over at her. “I’m sorry, Claire. She knows better than to act like a little brat.”

“It’s okay, poor thing probably couldn’t help it!”

“It’s not okay, is it, kiddo?” Daddy asks you sternly.

“N-no D-daddy, I n-not allowed to u-use n-naughty words anymore…”

“That’s right! And what happens when you do?”

“I h-have to l-lay over y-your lap…”

“Good girl. Do you have anything to say to Claire first?”

You look over to Claire, forcing yourself to ignore the smirk on her face. “I-I’m s-sorry for calling you a naughty word, C-Claire,” you say sheepishly.

“It’s okay, little one. I know you didn’t mean it!”

Daddy reaches out his hand for you. You reluctantly grab it and follow him to your crib. Daddy puts the bars down and sits on the edge. He looks at you expectantly.

You hesitate, not wanting Claire to watch Daddy spank you. You couldn’t bear the thought of her watching you get spanked like some naughty toddler.

“B-but…Daddy…,” you mutter, looking at Claire.

Daddy only smiles. “Claire stays, babygirl. If you didn’t want her to see you get punished, you shouldn’t have been naughty. Lay down. Now.”

As you move toward Daddy, he suddenly stands up. “Oh, I almost forgot! Now that you’re unpotty trained, I can’t risk you tinkling on me!”

Daddy heads to the closet, bringing a package of puppy pads out. He opens it, unfolding one and placing it on his lap.

Claire loses it, giggling uncontrollably. “A puppy pad?!? Stop, that’s so embarrassing, even for a diaper girl! But I guess it’s necessary if she can’t hold her tinkles!”

Red-faced, you stand in front of Daddy as he rips the tabs off your diaper. The cold air forces you to shiver as your diaper is removed. He balls it up and hands it to you to hold.

“On my lap, babygirl,” he says sternly.

You lay down on Daddy’s lap—and the puppy pad—more humiliated than you’ve ever been in your life. You hold on to the diaper in your hand, doing your best to cover it up.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

Claire’s laughter fills the room as Daddy’s spanking pauses. Tears pour down your face as you realize how infantile and pathetic you must look to Claire.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

More laughing. You look around your nursery. The monument to your place in life. You see all the horrifically infantile designs, the pastel colors, the supplies to keep you pathetically pampered.

You take it in. Everything in the room made you so beautifully squirmy when they were added. It’s was all so hot. But as you look at it—through Claire’s eyes—you realize how far you’ve fallen.

She doesn’t see you as an adult. She sees you as a toddler. You’re not a threat to her. You’re a cute sideshow. She’s going to sleep with Daddy tonight, not you.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

All the cute baby-patterned diapers and accessories that you loved so much stare back at you, each with a life of its own. They mock you, gloating that they trapped you in their world.

They know what you are. A helpless, diaper-dependent baby. They know this isn’t an adults room—it’s yours.

The only sex that would ever happen in this room is between Daddy and any woman he brings in here. A woman getting off knowing what you are. Proving she’s better than you.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

By now your tushie is on fire. Your whimpers fueling Claire’s laughter. She can’t get enough of this pathetic display.

Daddy’s hand strokes your hair before turning your face to look at him. You look at him through your tears.

“I-I ‘m sorry, Daddy!” you plead, “I w-won’t use naughty words again, I promise!”

“I know you won’t, babygirl. Let’s get you in another diaper.”
You timidly stand up, hiding from Claire’s smirking. You preemptively head for the changing table.

“HAHAHHA no way!” Claire goads, “Did she really pee on the puppy pad?”

Horrified, you look back. Daddy holds up the pad clearly wet with pee. You cover your face, too ashamed to meet anyone’s gaze.

“Let’s get you in a new diaper before you leak all over the floor, Princess.”

You obediently lay on the changing table, still covering your face.

“Can she wear this diaper?” Claire says, holding up your thick night time diaper.

“That’s what I was going to put her in! Gotta get this lil stinker in her night time diaper before bed!”

Claire watches—on comments—on the entire diaper change. You whimper through the whole thing. Being seen on a changing table, no different from a fussy toddler, in such a vulnerable, infantile position by a girl younger than you is too much.

Halfway through, Daddy gave you your paci, which you happily accepted, needing something to soothe yourself.

Once your diaper was taped on, Daddy helped you off the table, leading you to your toddler chair and table.

He sits you down, bringing you paper and a box of crayons.
“I want you to write an apology letter to Claire while we go have some fun. And it better be good.”

“B-but,” you beg, “I need a pen!”

“A pen?” Daddy scoffs, “You have crayons here! Diaper girls don’t need pens! Diaper girls use crayons, silly!”

Claire giggles. “She’s as serious as a crayon.”

With that, they head out. Your stomach sinks watching Claire all over Daddy.

You get to work, writing your apology letter to the woman who took your man. As you write, you hear them in the next room over. You try to ignore the moaning as you write.

“Dear Claire, I’m sorry I used naughty words. Daddy said I should never use those words when addressing an adult like you…”

Two Worlds, One Family

I smile as you walk through the front door. This is my favorite part of the day.

As always, you’re wearing your favorite big girl costume: a fancy white lab coat covering your chic designer clothes. Nobody would ever guess what you truly are. Or what you’re hiding under all those fancy clothes.

But I know.

For the few hours you leave the house, you get to pretend you have everything a diaper girl like you lacks. Power. Authority. Respect. It’s well-deserved, I’ll readily admit. You earned it. Not only do your colleagues respect you, but your subordinates fear you.

It makes me laugh every time I think about it.

If they only knew.

“Hi, Daddy!” you chirp, dutifully walking over to me to let me check your diaper.

“Hi, Princess!” I respond, removing your lab coat and squeezing the soggy diaper under your clothes. “How was your day?”

It’s the contrast I love so much. Listening to you ramble on about roleplaying as a big girl while you obediently lift your arms so I can remove your shirt. On and on you go. All the while, I strip you of your costume, replacing it with clothes much more suited to your authentic self.

You continue rambling on about your “big girl” life, even as you’re standing in nothing but a soggy Lacy Love diaper that is no longer purple and white.

It’s adorable knowing the woman that commands a room does so in a squishy, droopy diaper with little bows and faded hearts from a long day of tinkles.

But not as adorable as the onesie I put you in, delightfully colorful and covered in all kinds of barnyard animals.

Perfect for you.

Your delightful rambling stops mid-sentence the moment I slide your binky in your mouth after buttoning your onesie.

I’m done listening. You may command a room there, but not here.

I’ll never get tired of the fussy look on your face when your pacifier silences you. It’s the look of a woman caught between two worlds. The moment you truly understand that whatever happens outside of the house is nothing but a mirage. You aren’t the well-respected, highly competent biologist you think you are.

Not at home.

Here you’re nothing more than Mommy and Daddy’s babygirl—our plaything. You never have been—and never will be—in charge. Not over us, not over your own life. Your place is filling your diapers for us, adorably begging for changes, desperately wishing you could join our adult fun.

I carry you to your playpen, playing Doc McStuffins, before heading to the kitchen to make dinner. You may supervise others out there, but here you are supervised. The only thing you supervise here is the stuffies scattered around your playpen.

Someone walks into the kitchen. I turn around, preparing to scold you for leaving your playpen, only to find my girlfriend smiling back at me, arms wrapping around my waist.

“Hey babe, how was your bath?” I ask, kissing her.

“Amazing, I love those new bath bombs,” she replies. “Do I hear Doc McStuffins? She’s home early!”

“Yep, she got home a few minutes ago!”

She bolts to your playpen, kissing you on the forehead. She picks you up and carries you back into the kitchen, sitting you in your high chair at the table.

After all this time, your face still burns in embarrassment whenever you’re locked into your highchair. A silly throne for a silly princess. I have no idea how we went so long without it.

You look so gosh darn cute in it, especially when Mommy puts your bib on you that says "Mommy's Lil' Cupcake."

For the next twenty minutes, you sit in silence, listening to Mommy and Daddy talk about our day. We make no effort to include you in our conversation. Adults don’t want or need a baby to babble about her day.

Once dinner is ready, Mommy prepares a plate for you, cutting your chicken into bite-sized pieces and filling your cute Disney Princess plate with all your num-nums.

Mommy playfully feeds you before we eat, your face burning brighter every time she says, “Here comes the choo choo train! Open up for Mommy!” When you’re finished, your face is smeared with mac and cheese, your bib dirty from all your “oopsies” as you clumsily spilled your food.

As we eat, I notice you fidgeting in your seat. I’m careful not to draw any attention to it. I know what’s about to happen. I surreptitiously prod Mommy, letting her in on your potty dance.

You’re staring off into space, desperately—and fruitlessly—trying to avoid packing your pampers at the dinner table.

You continue to squirm, no doubt wondering why we’re still at the table long after we finished eating. I couldn’t help but laugh seeing the relief on your face as we finished eating, believing you’d be freed from your plastic prison before loading your diaper, only for the relief to vanish, replaced with renewed terror, as I sat back down after cleaning the dishes, continuing my conversation.

The cutest toot, slightly—and adorably—muffled by your soggy diaper, escapes into the room. You whimper as our conversation stops, our undivided attention on your endearing display in your highchair.

“Are you making a stinky for us, baby?” Mommy asks rhetorically.

“Mmmmphfff!” you unintentionally respond, your body tightening to fill your diaper.

Your legs, once freely swaying in boredom, are now rigid and unmoving. You unconsciously grab the plastic of your highchair, fingers white, as you grip for leverage to push. Your eyes are wide, full of humiliation.

More toots trumpet into your diaper.

Finally, with one loud grunt, your diaper visibly expands, crinkling as it does.

“Good girl!” Mommy coos, “Get all those ickies into your diaper, little one!”

Your face somehow manages to grow an even darker shade of red.

You struggle for a few more minutes, your diaper occasionally expanding as you push the mess out.

It’s adorable.

“Any more poopies, Princess?” I ask, unlocking the highchair and prodding your diaper. “Woah, such a big mess for a little baby! Where did all that poopoo come from?!"

“C-can I hab changies?” you whimper through your paci.

“Not yet, little one,” Mommy answers. “It’s almost your bedtime, and Mommy hasn't spent enough time with her sweet stinker!”

You look up at me pleadingly. I laugh. “Sorry, kiddo, I’m with Mommy on this one!”

I pick you up, carrying you over to the couch. I sit beside Mommy, gently laying you on your back across our laps.

Mommy tickles your tummy, forcing you to giggle despite your embarrassment. “Such a cutie patootie we have! Daddy and I are so proud of you!” Mommy coos.

I boop your nose. “That’s right, sweetie! I don’t know how we got so lucky! We have the cutest baby in the whole world! Even if she is a stinky girl! Pee yew!!”

“Can you say ‘I’m the cutest, stinkiest poopy pamper princess in the whole world!’ for us, baby?” Mommy asks.

You nervously suck on your paci. “I-I’m da cudest, stinkwiesth…p...poopy p-pam-pamper pwinceth in da ‘ho world," you stammer, face flushed like a perfectly ripe summer tomato.

“Yes you are! Yes you are!” Mommy chirps proudly, “You’re the smartest baby in the whole world too! I don’t think there’s another baby who knows as much about animals as you!”

You stare back at Mommy, knowing the humiliating game that’s about to start.

“Yes, you do, sweetie!” Mommy continues, tickling your toes. “Can our widdle scientist tell us what sound a cow makes?”

You squirm in embarrassment.

“You can do it, little one!” Mommy prods, “Tell Mommy and Daddy what a cow sounds like!”

“M-moo,” you answer meekly.

“Surely you can do better than that!” I add, blowing a raspberry on your tummy, “Try again, silly!”

“HAHAHA Dadaaa! It tickwes Dadaaaaa!!” you plead, squirming around, diaper crinkling wildly.

“Well, tell me what a cow says, silly!”

“MOOOOOOO!” you scream, still laughing after I stop.

“That’s right, baby!” Mommy says, “So smart! What about a lil piggy?”

“OINK OINK OINK!” you squeal, starting to have fun despite your humiliation.

“Good job, kiddo!” I gush, “How about a frog?”

“WIBBIT! WIBBIT! WIBBIT!”

“Good girl!” Mommy sings, “Now a duck!”

“KWAK KWAK KWAK!”

“So good!” I congratulate her. “But this is the hardest one yet! What does a baby say before bedtime?”

The smile fades from your face. “b-b-but I don' wanna go ni ni Dada! I wan’ stay wif Mommy and Daddy!”

“No buts, silly,” Mommy says sternly, “Mommy and Daddy want to have some fun, and I gotta get you into a fresh diapee before you stink up the house!”

“Wha-no, PWEASE Dada!” you beg me, knowing I’m much more persuadable than Mommy.

Before I can answer, Mommy flashes you a dangerous look. “What did I say?”

You hiccup in fear. “T-that it’s b-bedtime, Mommy,” you answer dejectedly.

“That’s right, silly. Now say good night to Daddy, little one,” Mommy chides.

“G-goodnight, Dada,” you whine.

“Goodnight, Princess,” I say, kissing your forehead.

The last thing I see before you turn the corner is your pleading eyes over Mommy’s shoulder as she carries you to the changing table. I can’t help but smile at how adorable you are.

You may think you’re a big girl, but we know better.

You’re right where you belong.

Scotty Doesn't Know

The last few weeks had been pure, unexpected bliss.

A few months ago, you finally managed to admit your ABDL kinks to your wife.

It did not go well.

“So let me get this straight. You, ostensibly an adult man, want to not only wear diapers, but have me treat you like a baby? And you’re serious?”

Needless to say, you did not bring it up again.

After a few awkward weeks, however, it seemed to be forgotten, and your relationship seemed to get back to normal. You both pretended the conversation never happened.

Which is why you were so surprised the night you got home from work and found her waiting along with cases of diapers, onesies, and more accessories than you could have ever imagined.

“Awwww, are you surprised to see all this, baby? Good! At first I thought it was just so…pathetic. But I’ve done a lot of research and think this is perfect for us!”

You couldn’t believe your ears.

It didn’t take long to see just how thorough her research must have been. She hadn’t just bought every ABDL item she could find—she had fully immersed herself in the kink.

“I need you to understand one thing, baby. If this is what you want, then you will fully commit. This won’t be something that happens when it suits you. It’s all or nothing.”

She continued, “You will be diapered 24/7. No exceptions. At home you will have no more rights than a baby. You can wear big boy clothes in public over your diaper, but I will check and change your diaper when I see fit. Got it?”

How could you say no?

She was a natural. A perfect mix of loving Mommy and firm domme. Caring and attentive, yet unrelenting and uncompromising. She was unambiguously in control.

And it was better than any fantasy you ever imagined.

Which brings us to today.

Mommy just fed you your lunch: a large bowl of oatmeal with sliced strawberries and bananas, followed by two jars of pureed prunes.

As usual, you were doing your post-lunch tummy time on your oversized Winnie the Pooh blanket in nothing but your Rugrats t-shirt and comically soggy Little Kings diaper.

Mommy knew you were due for a change, of course. She wasn’t blind. But she knew her little one was extremely regular—especially after eating those prunes.

She’d change you once you made your afternoon poopoo.

The first wave of cramps hit seconds before the doorbell rang.

You looked up in panic; you’d be immediately obvious to anyone at the door.

Yet Mommy completely ignored your terrified squeals from behind your paci and headed straight for the door.

You watched in horror as the door opened. It seemed to happen in slow motion, slowly and inevitably.

“Hey girls! Come on in!”

Nothing could have prepared you for this.

Standing in the doorway were Mommy’s two best friends, Lauren and Mary, smiling from ear to ear.

Looking right at you.

Utterly exposed.

You instinctively try to cover your diaper in an admittedly adorable, yet wholly futile attempt to preserve your dignity.

As if that was even possible.

Your bulging, yellow diaper was merely one aspect of the humiliating, infantile menagerie before them.

Oh! My! Gosh! Fiona! He’s adorable!” Lauren squealed in delight, walking straight toward you. “He’s even cuter than you described! And that diapie? Ahhh, I can’t!”

They knew about this?

Mary followed right behind Lauren. “Like…he even actually looks like a baby! Just…bigger.”

The three women surround you, looking down at the red-faced baby, rendering you too stunned to speak.

You can’t believe Mommy told them!

“Told you you’d love him!” Mommy says with pride, “He just belongs in babyhood, don't you, little mister?”

Mary laughs. “I know Lauren thinks so. Remember that fight before your wedding?”

“Can you believe I actually argued this sweet little boy was a man?” Mommy says quickly, noticing Lauren’s hesitation, “But you were right all along!”

“Well, I still shouldn’t have said all those things at the Bach party. It was way out of line.”

Mommy waves a hand dismissively. “You were just being a good friend. I wasn’t ready to hear it yet. Good friends tell hard truths.”

Your eyes go wide in fear as a strong wave of cramps hits you. A tiny whimper escapes your mouth.

You look at the women, praying they’re too distracted to have heard you.

“What’s wrong, Squirt?” Mary asks softly, kneeling down. “What are you whimpering about, hmm?”

Mommy flashes a knowing, devious grin.

“Ut oh! Does Mommy’s little baby boy have an icky tummy? Is someone gonna make poopoo in his diapie for us?”

“Ahhh! He even makes the same poopy face as actual babies!” Lauren squeals, tickling your tummy. “Go on, little guy. Don't be embarrassed because you have an audience! Babies like you go poopie in their pampers, no matter who's watching!”

Your face burns in embarrassment. Or maybe from the effort of holding it.

All you know is you cannot mess your diaper like this in front of them. It’s bad enough being seen like this—but you won’t give them the satisfaction of pooping your diaper.

“Poor baby, trying to hold it,” Mary coos. “Just let go for us, crinklebutt. We know you’re just a baby. No more pretending to be a big boy. Just push all your ickies into your diaper like the baby you are, and it will all be over.”

“I think it’s cute,” Lauren giggles. “Does he actually think if he holds it, we won’t see him as a baby? Well, kiddo, about that…nobody will ever see you as an adult ever again. Besides, we’re going to be here all night babysitting you. We’ll see your stinky tushie sooner or later!”

Are they actually babysitting you tonight?

Lauren sees the look of confusion on your face. “Oh, does he not know we're babysitting him, Fiona?”

The thought distracts you from your cramps, forcing out a loud, bubbly toot followed by a small amount of mess.

“Good job, baby!” Mary says encouragingly, “You can do it!”

Mommy just smiles.

“Why would I tell a baby my plans? What Mommy does in her free time is of no concern to him, is it, babykins? All he needs to worry about is when he’ll be changed.”

Is Mommy planning on going somewhere?

Another grumbly toot trumpets into your diaper. You grunt as you push warm mush into your diaper.

Despite the overwhelming humiliation of losing the battle in front of Mommy’s friends, you’re more concerned about Mommy leaving you.

“I think the baby is finally making pushies!” Mary shouts, “Is that bulge in your diapie poopie, baby? Yes it is! Yes it is!”

Lauren slides your pacifier into your mouth between grunts. “Here, sweetie. Suckle on your paci while you go poopoo. Good boy, suckle and push for your babysitters.”

Mommy stands up. “Do you two mind watching him for a bit while I shower? He’ll probably be going for a while. Prunes go straight through him.”

“Not at all, Fiona! You’ve been excited for this date since you put him back in diapers!”

No. No. No! Mommy is going on a date?

You look at Mommy, who doesn’t have even the slightest trace of shame. If anything, she looks more radiant than usual.

“Thanks, girls. I’ll show you how to change him when I get back.”

Your attempt to get up and follow her is foiled by another large cramp. Instead of following your wife, you push another round of mush into your diaper.

“Oh, honey!” Mary coos, rubbing your hair and rattling a toy for you, “Mommy will be back in a jiffy, I promise. Are you almost done pushing? That diaper is awfully full!”

You hate the way Mary talks to you.

She knows why you’re upset—you’re not an actual baby!

Your wife and her friends are casually talking about her going on a date with someone named Mark, but Mary has the audacity to make it seem like it’s because you’re an infant with separation anxiety?

“Sweetie pie, what did you expect?” Lauren chides, “I mean, look at you! You’re pooping your diaper during tummy time! Do you really think your Mommy—or any woman—would ever want to be with you after that?”

You want to argue, but you can't bring yourself to look her in the eye.

“You made your choice, Squirt. This is what you wanted. You gave up your adulthood to be pampered by your Mommy. You're a pamper packer—not a husband. So guess what? Your Mommy has needs babies can’t satisfy.”

Tears well in your eyes.

“Aww, don’t cry, honey,” Mary says as she wipes the tears from your eyes. “Be nice to him, Lauren. He can’t help it! He’s just a baby!”

“I think you have a soft spot for the baby, Mary,” Lauren teases. “You just love helpless things.”

“Guilty. And what’s more helpless than a baby in a poopy diaper? Poor thing, you should never have been allowed to grow up, huh, kiddo? Don’t you fuss about Mommy. She loves you very, very much, okay?”

You look into Mary’s eyes. To your surprise, you don’t find a hint of mockery—only authentic concern and affection.

And for some reason, that makes everything worse.

Lauren may taunt and tease you, but at least she’s recognizing you’re an adult when she does. Unlike Mary.

Mary genuinely sees you as a baby; that much is clear.

You squirm at the realization. You passed the point of no return.

This isn’t a game anymore. It’s not a fun role-play between you and your wife.

This is your life.

“You look stunning!” Lauren shouts when she sees Mommy come back into the room in a red dress you had never seen before.

Lauren wasn’t lying. If anything, she was underselling how beautiful your wife looked.

She looked so good you forgot about your rapidly cooling messy diaper. You forgot her friends were here to babysit you.

Forgot she was your Mommy.

For the first time since her friends arrived, you found your voice. Too bad you forgot about your pacifier. “Babe, 'ou wook amaving!”

“Awww, you’re so sweet, little one,” Mommy says before dramatically sniffing the air. “But Mommy is more concerned about your stinky tushie. Babies get diaper changes, not dates, silly!”

“He definitely needs changies! Such a stinkerpants!” Mary adds unhelpfully.

The momentary bliss fades away as you remember you’re about to have your poopy diaper changed.

You stare longingly at your Mommy in her dress as she grabs your diaper bag.

“No, no, we got this, Fiona. That dress shouldn’t be anywhere near a poopy diaper,” Mary assures her.

“Are you sure?”

“Your baby is in good hands. You’re off the clock. Go have fun with Mark.”

You pretend you don’t see her wink.

“Ugh, thank you! You guys are the best!” she says before turning to you. “You behave for your babysitters, honey. Or don't, I'm sure they'd love to paint that tushie red if you're naughty. I’ll see you in the morning. I love you, sweetie!”

She blows you a kiss as she walks out the door, leaving you with a poopy diaper in desperate need of a change.

“Alright, mister poopypants,” Mary says, patting your diaper, smushing your mess. “Let’s get you out of that icky diaper so we can play!”

The way Lauren laughs sends shivers down your spine.

“We’re going to have so much fun getting to know the real you, baby!”

The Girl Next Door

Intense, uncompromising pleasure overwhelmed your resistance, coaxing you into the sweet bliss of surrender.

All you had to do was close your eyes and succumb to its power.

It would be so easy…

A loud moan snaps you back to reality from the brink of annihilation.

The sobering truth of your situation dulls the unyielding ecstasy beckoning you to capitulate. You cannot give in.

But the egg your husband slid into your diaper continues to vibrate, steadfast in its indulgent call to rapture.

Mittened hands render your fingers useless and ineffective, unable to manipulate the straps of your harness. Unable to rip the tabs of your diaper to get inside.

Unable to stop the egg from dragging you into the abyss.

Your attempts to escape accomplish nothing but bouncing you merrily in your bouncer, your toes briefly touching the ground. Your overworked, messy diaper squelches whenever you’re thrust upward.

Bouncing. Bouncing. Bouncing.

The bouncer offers a perfect vantage point of your husband’s naked body. You can see every bead of sweat, every perfectly chiseled muscle firing as he passionately thrusts into your best friend.

Her face contorts in carnal pleasure in response to his thrusts. Deep, red gashes cover his arms and back where her fingers clung to him, pulling him deeper into her.

The divine apotheosis of the masculine and feminine—a startling antithesis to the woman bouncing in a diaper.

Watching.

Unable to escape, you close your eyes and cover your ears with your mittened hands, lest you lose yourself to the animalistic dance.

It takes every ounce of strength to keep your eyes closed. The buzzing egg and your own lust whisper in your ear, encouraging your surrender.

Eroding your willpower.

In another world, this moment would be the culmination of your fantasies. With you dangling from a bouncer in this comically full diaper while your husband took your best friend right in front of you.

But the price of surrender is more than you can bear.

Twenty minutes ago, as your husband strapped you into your bouncer, at the peak of your lusty anticipation, your best friend walked over with a smirk that sent jolts of electric pleasure through you.

“I want you to enjoy this, honey. We’ve worked so hard on this. Tonight’s the night. Aren’t you excited?”

You nodded enthusiastically, thinking it was all part of the act. Of the tease.

She laughed derisively, patting your diaper. “That’s right, baby. This is what you’ve always wanted. All you need to do is make diapie cummies like a good girl and you’ll be ours forever.”

“Wh-what do you mean?”

“The hypnosis, silly! We’ve played it for you every night for three months while you slept! And now it’s finally time to put it to work!”

Hypnosis always got you hot and bothered. But it was all fantasy. It wasn’t actually real.

So you played along. “Oh, yeah! Turn me into your plaything, ma’am!”

“Told you she’d be into it, babe! Tell me, princess…have you had any dreams about a diaper girl that looks just so similar to you begging you to come play with her?”

Your heart skipped a beat…how did she know?

“I thought so! You want to join her, don’t you? She’s so free, not a care in the world. Telling you all about how wonderful it is to surrender to your desires. To let go.”

“H-how…”

“She’s ready, babe. Told you it worked!”

“What worked?!?”

She booped your nose. “Don’t you worry, darling. Just make some biiig cummies in your bouncer while we play, okay?”

“Wh-what will hap-happen if I do?”

“Nothing you don’t already want—deep down in that head of yours! Just cum for us and you can kiss your potty training bye-bye for good! You’ll have your diapers for everything!”

She paused for dramatic effect.

“And I mean everything! You’ll never be able to make cummies without your thick, soggy padding ever again, no matter how hard you try! And the best part? You’ll be our dutiful, obedient little diaper slave without a care in the world! And it will all be real, baby!”

Before you could say anything, your husband pushed a button on the remote. The egg roared to life, forcing you to moan in pleasure.

“Remember, baby. All you need to do is surrender.”

With every passing second, intense waves of pressure swell in your princess parts, peaking and receding, matching the intensity of the guttural moans coming from your husband and best friend.

Begging you to surrender.

No…you can’t…you won’t be their diapered plaything.

Her sudden screams of ecstasy, building inevitably to climax, mix with your husband’s deep, powerful grunts.

You open your eyes, needing to watch it happen. Needing to see the moment your husband fills her with his seed.

Panic and terror overwhelm you as the pleasure becomes unbearable—uncontrollable—and you desperately try to stop the inevitable.

Through your haze, you hear that familiar, ethereal voice. “Cummies! Cummies! Good girls make cummies!”

No no no no no noyou can’t make cummies!

“Hehehe! Let go and we can playyyyy!”

Someone screams in utter ecstasy.

Screaming with the same orgasmic bliss ripping through your body.

Screaming with your voice.

Every atom in your body radiates with heavenly bliss. It’s Intoxicating.

Liberating.

As the waves of orgasmic pleasure fade away, you greedily thrust your princess parts into the egg, bouncing wildly to up the pressure.

You’re so lost chasing the next orgasm, you don’t notice the two naked people walking towards you.

“Told you it would work! Look at her go!”

“Holy shit…is she drooling?”

It’s only when Mommy wipes the drool from your chin that you notice you’re not alone.

“Mommy!!!” you squeal happily, bouncing wildly, “I made cummiesssss!”

“You sure did, baby!”

Your thumb works its way to your mouth and your eyes light up when you see him.

“Daddyyyyyy! M-more cummies, please?” you beg thrusting ridiculously at the egg.

Not a single thought runs through your mind—all you want is to show Mommy and Daddy how good you are at cummies.

“Want to take our new toy for a test drive, babe?”

“Yayyayaya pleeeeasseee!”

“Why not? I’m ready for round two!”

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 32

This is the last chapter I've written, so it will be longer in between chapters from here on out. But to help lessen the wait, feel free to ask any questions about the story, I'll answer them the best I can unless there are spoilers in the answer.

Read Previous Chapter Here.

Chapter Thirty-Two

Allie slowed her pace to check her phone when they reached a fork in the footpath.

“It must be that one over there,” she said, pointing to a five-story building swarming with people. “I’ll let everyone know we’re here.”

Sammy nodded, staring at the crowd.

She always loved USC’s campus, having been her second choice after Stanford. And today it was buzzing with palpable, electric energy, with the epicenter being the dorms.

A steady flow of people trickled inside, arms full of suitcases, Target bags full of supplies, and college-aged kids taking it all in. Elsewhere, parents hugged their children before leaving them for their first day of college.

“Lindsay is coming down to meet us. How are you feeling, Sammy? Doing good?”

“Y-yeah, I’m okay.”

Sammy was grateful Allie did her best to minimize the obviousness of Sammy’s Little status. Between her jeans and Stanford t-shirt, Sammy didn’t look out of place. She even thought her diaper bulge wasn’t as obvious as normal.

Even the diaper bag Allie chose wasn’t immediately identifiable as one. More like an oversized purse that few would guess held diapers, pacifier, and changing supplies.

Before they left, Allie promised Sammy that she would try to be as discreet as possible out of respect for this big step today, but that didn’t mean that Sammy should expect a hall pass from being a Little.

Allie rubbed Sammy’s back, guiding her to the dorms. “You got this, Sammy. I’ll be right here if you need me.”

“Thanks, Allie.”

As they approached the building and the conversations got louder, Sammy watched a group of girls huddling in a circle, animatedly talking about something enjoyable.

One of the girls was wearing the same Zara skirt that Sammy had in her shopping cart online the day before she was Classified. It looked even better in person. Sammy understood why she carried herself with such confidence.

What Sammy would give to be the girl in the circle, wearing that skirt, unburdened by the tyranny of her diaper.

“Sammy!” Lindsay shouted, running over to them.

Her shout drew far more attention to Sammy than she would have liked, especially when Lindsay wrapped her in a bear hug.

“I’m so glad you came!”

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world, Linds!”

Sammy had barely escaped Lindsay’s clutches when Carol and Henry swooped in to greet her.

Carol hugged Sammy, too. “Hello, dear. It means the world to Lindsay that you came.”

“That’s what family does!”

Henry smiled at Sammy with the same paternal, loving warmth that made her feel safe to be herself. “Ain’t that the truth!”

A mother near Sammy caught Sammy’s eye and smiled. Not the cursory, polite smile made in passing to strangers in a crowd. No, it was softer than that. Her mouth and eyes pressed into something gentle and sad.

For a long second, Sammy thought she might say something. But the moment passed. Just a smile held a beat too long.

The mother turned back to her daughter and squeezed her shoulder as if to say, "Count yourself lucky."

Sammy stared at her shoes.

She had braced herself for the stares. Expected whispers. Laughter. Maybe even disgust.

But somehow the way the woman looked at her—like Sammy was a helpless baby bird chirping in its nest—was worse.

She didn’t want to fight back. She wanted to disappear.

“Wanna see my room? I need your touch to decorate it.”

“Sure!” Sammy answers, trying to sound unfazed by the onlookers.

“We’ll meet you up there,” Henry says. “Someone’s gotta carry all your things to your room.”

Allie grabs Sammy’s elbow, sensing an opportunity. “Do you want to go alone with Lindsay?”

Sammy nods excitedly. “Can I?”

“Sure, but stick with Lindsay, okay? I won’t be gone long.”

“I’ll be fine!” Sammy assures her, cheeks flushed.

“Don’t worry, Allie, I got her,” Lindsay says, pulling Sammy towards the entrance.

Sammy let herself be pulled, reveling in the opportunity to be alone. Who would think she’s a Little without a Caregiver watching over her?

“Allie is probably jealous because they destroyed the old athletic dorms she stayed in like a year after she graduated. These are much nicer.”

Lindsay was not wrong, Sammy thought. Entering the foyer, Sammy would’ve believed it was a resort, not a dorm.

“Best part is, I’m on the first floor. No stairs!”

As they walked down the hall, Sammy looked inside the dorms as they passed. Most doors were open, with people walking in and out and getting to know their floormates.

Each room was its own little world. It took little effort to determine which had boys living in it and which had girls.

In the first room she passed, Sammy saw a poster of Bob Marley next to one of John Belushi drinking a bottle of Jack Daniel's, in a sweater that said “College.”

Definitely not a girl's room.

The next room was mostly white with tasteful pops of pastel highlights and lace curtains. Elegant. Feminine. One Sammy would happily live in.

Whenever the occupants noticed them walking by, they waved or smiled. One already knew Lindsay by name, though that didn’t surprise Sammy.

Lindsay was always a social butterfly.

But the farther they got from the loud, chaotic entrance, the quieter the hallway got. Every step forced Sammy to wonder if anyone else could hear what was so loud to her.

Crinkle. Crinkle. Crinkle.

Her diaper seemed determined to blow the cover she was thoroughly enjoying.

Sammy slowed to a snail’s pace as a boy carrying a heavy-looking box passed them by, smiling at them both.

“I’m in room 32A, come say hi!” he said to both of them.

When he was out of earshot, Lindsay whispered in Sammy’s ear. “You’re fine, Sammy. Nobody can hear you.”

“H-how did you know? Am I really that loud?”

“No, silly. You’re just walking like a penguin. So, it was either that or you had an accident. And I don’t smell anything.”

“Very funny.”

“Just get out of your head and enjoy yourself. Besides, we're here.”

Lindsay walked through the open door.

“Ta-da!”

The room was only half decorated, but it already had Lindsay’s fingerprints all over it: creamy whites with flourishes of forest green everywhere.

Sammy was so focused on the Lindsay side of the room, she didn’t notice the two bunk beds to her right. Or the two girls sitting on the bottom bunk.

“Hey, Lindsay! Your parents leave already?”

“Oh, no, they’re grabbing some more things from the car. I went to meet my friend here. Sam, meet my roommates, Cecilia and Jasmine.”

“Nice to meet you, Sam,” Jasmine said. “Oh, you got into Stanford?”

Sammy beamed with pride but was terrified of any follow-up questions. Questions that she didn’t want to answer.

“Ugh, don’t remind me,” Lindsay answered for her. “I was secretly hoping she’d have to come here so we’d be roommates.”

Lindsay laughed before adding, “Not that I mind you guys!”

“Good save,” Cecilia added, laughing.

Neither asked any more questions about Stanford, content to show Sammy their plans for the dorm, having apparently discussed their designs before moving in.

Sammy was more than happy to let them. She couldn’t remember the last time she had a normal conversation that wasn’t tainted by being Little.

She did her best to show how thankful she was to Lindsay in furtive, appreciative glances.

For the first time in months, she felt like an adult. One of the girls. A college student like Lindsay.

Maybe Allie will realize how independent Sammy was after this. That she didn’t actually need constant supervision. That she could have some independence from Caregivers.

Lindsay’s phone buzzed. She made a show of laughing at it, like it was an inside joke that Sammy needed to see.

“You have to see this, Sam!” she said, showing Sammy a text.

It was from Allie. “How’s Sammy? She doing okay? Let me know if she needs me to come get her.”

Sammy’s heart sank. Somehow, she was still being treated like a Little over the phone.

“That’s hilarious Linds! But a hard pass for me.”

Lindsay nodded, understanding the meaning and texted Allie.

Sammy tried not to dwell on it. Even if hearing Lindsay and her roommates talk about college parties, boys, and social lives caused a pang of jealousy, they were also giving her something special.

The feeling of being treated as an equal. An adult.

Not a Little who needed to be cared for. Or, worse, pitied.

There was only one problem.

Sammy felt pressure building in her stomach. She knew what it meant.

And was determined to fight it. To prove she wasn’t a Little. Not here. Not now.

She looked at Lindsay, eyes begging for a savior.

But she was too deep in conversation about tonight's parties to notice her best friend struggling…

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 31

Read Previous Chapter Here.

Chapter Thirty-One

“So dramatic! It’s not that bad!”

“Then you do it!”

“Sorry, honey, I deal with enough poop as it is.”

Sammy glared at Allie, who returned it with a smile.

The small, thin plastic bag was all that was about to separate Sammy’s hand from Kaya’s warm, stinky poop.

Inspiration struck Sammy. “You know, poop is a great fertilizer. I bet if we leave it, we’ll have the best lawn in the neighborhood!”

“Nice try, Sammy”

Kaya sat next to Sammy, panting happily in the shade of the oak tree.

“Proud of yourself, Kaya?”

Sammy reached down and grabbed the poop.

“Ew, ew, ew!”

Allie laughed at Sammy’s clumsy, yet ultimately successful, operation.

“Okay, let’s go wash your hands.”

“Don’t need to tell me twice!”

Sammy followed Allie inside, while Kaya decided she wanted a few more minutes of sunbathing.

“It’s hot outside,” Sammy said, holding out her hand for Allie to squirt the soap.

With her hands washed, Sammy headed to the couch to enjoy her lazy Saturday morning.

One thing Sammy was grateful for—despite Allie Little-proofing all the streaming apps—was that Sammy could still access all the educational documentaries she loved.

And not just the ones for Littles and children.

Scrolling through Netflix, she found an interesting show called “A Trip to Infinity.” Satisfied after watching the trailer, she put it on.

A few minutes later, Allie came into the room holding a basket of laundry.

“This is what you watch for fun? My brain hurts and it’s only been 30 seconds!”

“It’s fascinating.”

“I’ll take your word for it,” Allie said, walking away.

Sammy was so focused on the show that she jumped when someone knocked on the door.

She stared at the door, unsure whether to open it or wait for Allie. She was saved the trouble.

“I wonder who that could be?” Allie opened the door.

“Heyyy Allie! Hey Sammy!” Lindsay boomed excitedly.

“To what do we owe the pleasure?” Allie asked.

“Jeez, can't a sister drop by unannounced to say hello? Way to make a girl feel welcome!”

Everyone laughed as Allie let Lindsay in and shut the door.

Lindsay saw Sammy’s show and giggled. “Some things never change, eh?” She sat next to Sammy.

Sammy knew Lindsay long enough to see she was excited about something but was looking for an opening.

She gave it to her. “So, what’s up, Linds?”

“Well, I wanted to see if you and Allie wanted to come help me move into my dorm on Monday since it’ll be harder to hang out for a while.”

Sammy recognized the pure joy on Lindsay’s face, the excitement of starting her next chapter in life. She understood it. Understood why she wanted her best friend there.

And understood that she didn’t mean to cause the sharp pangs of jealousy and grief tearing through Sammy.

She was happy for Lindsay, of course. Genuinely, authentically happy.

“Wha—? Oh…” Sammy stammered.

It wasn’t that Sammy didn’t want to be there for Lindsay. She did.

But she should be getting ready to move into her own dorm…

Lindsay noticed Sammy’s hesitation, eyes wide with the realization that her question was vastly more emotionally complicated than she expected. She should have known.

“O-only if you want to, of course! I…” she said, looking to Allie for support.

Unlike Lindsay, Allie understood why Sammy would be hesitant. What emotions must be bubbling inside of her.

Maybe it would be better to tell Lindsay they had plans to save Sammy the burden of answering—let alone going.

But another voice, stronger and more assured, echoed in her head. Telling her what she knew was true.

Sammy needed to be the one to decide.

“What do you think, Sammy?” Allie asks.

Sammy dreaded being on campus, surrounded by peers embarking on their college experience, knowing she’ll never be a part of it.

The alternative scared her more.

What would it mean if she hid from reality in her nursery, protected by the very thing that was stealing her future?

No.

“I-I’d love to help, Linds!”

Lindsay breathed a sigh of relief before hugging Sammy.

“Yay! Thank you so much, Sam! I know it won’t be easy but…but I couldn’t imagine doing this without my best friend with me!”

Allie watched Sammy and Lindsay discuss the dorm, the move, and Lindsay’s plan to decorate it. Sammy never ran from the conversation. She had never been prouder of Sammy.

Maybe Sammy could make it to Stanford after all.

Lindsay stayed another hour before Allie hinted that it was almost nap time. Not wanting to make it seem obvious, Lindsay came up with an excuse about packing.

“Bye guys, see you Monday!”

With Lindsay gone, Allie sat next to Sammy.

“Are you sure you’re ready for this? I can tell Lindsay something came up, I know it will be difficult after everything…”

“I’m sure, Allie. I…I need to do it. Even if it sucks.”

“You’re stronger than you realize, you know that?”

Sammy nodded solemnly. “It’s…it’s just, how can I make it to Stanford if I’m too scared to face the world? Why should I be ashamed of who I am?”

Allie saw the determination in Sammy’s eyes. “That’s a very mature way of thinking about it. I’m so proud of you, Sammy.”

“Besides, daycare can’t be worse than being on a college campus, with people my age, as a Little, right? If I can do this, I can do anything!”

“Oh, yes. You’re absolutely right. Are you excited about daycare? In two weeks, you start your own college journey. It may not be the same as Lindsay’s, but it’s yours.”

“Y-yeah…I think so,” Sammy answered with far less confidence than before.

“Think so?”

“Well…I want to show everyone I’m not just a Little, that I’m still the same person that got accepted into Stanford…”

“Is there a but in that sentence?”

“I read the Little’s Preparatory Academy welcome packet you left on the counter and… well, did you see the supply list for the first day? Markers, crayons, stickers, and glue sticks!”

“I did, yes. I know it seems odd, but it's where Stanford recommends for you. It must be good if they chose it, right?”

“I guess…”

“Sammy, look at me. You can do this. I believe in you. And even if you change your mind, I’ll love you just as much, got it?”

“Change my mind? Never. I’ll show them; I’ll be the best student the Little’s Preparatory Academy has ever seen. It’ll be no different from high school. Well, except for…you know.”

Allie laughs, hiding the anxiety from Sammy’s determination to continue down the path. Not because she doesn’t believe in Sammy, but because she sees the version of Sammy that would be crushed by the loss of her dream.

“Maybe Lindsay will never help me move into a dorm, but by this time next summer, we will both be college students! Just watch!”

“I don’t doubt it for a second. But…”

“But?”

“Next summer is a long way away. It’s already past naptime.”

“I’m not tired, Allie! Please can I finish my show? Please?”

Allie sighs. “Fine, but unlike the infinity, you still have a finite amount of time before I put you down.”

Sammy sticks out her tongue. “So funny!”

Ten minutes later, Sammy is fast asleep when Allie picks her up and deposits her into her crib after changing her diaper.

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 30

Read Chapter 29 here.

Chapter Thirty

Sammy let herself drift to the bottom of the pool, enjoying the temperature and the silence of being underwater. For a few fleeting moments, Sammy could almost believe she was free for the first time since her Classification.

Down there, under the water, it was easy to pretend she was alone, with nobody to tell her what to do, or to be careful, or to dote on her.

Nobody to remind her she was a Little.

The reprieve was short-lived as her lungs begged for air.

“Sammy! Sammy! Look!” Hannah squealed the moment she surfaced, waving pool noodles like a trophy.

“I’m sure she’s seen pool noodles before, Squirt,” Jane chided from the ledge of the pool, her feet dangling in the water. She was clearly enjoying her chance to prove she was responsible.

Unfazed, Hannah swam to Sammy to hand-deliver a noodle. “Here, you take the blue one. The pink one is my favorite!”

“Thanks,” Sammy said, taking the noodle.

“Wanna play mermaids?”

“Wait until Emily comes so we can play together,” Jane insisted.

Hannah huffed but didn’t argue. “Kay…”

“And don’t think you don’t need to tell me if you have an accident or you’ll get in trouble, remember?”

“Duh!” Hannah replied, showing no sign of embarrassment.

“That goes for you too, Sammy.”

Sammy nodded, cheeks burning, remembering she was in a swim diaper. She somehow managed to forget. But now that she was focused on it, she wondered how she managed not to notice it.

Watching Sammy’s smile falter, Jane slid into the pool.

“Hey, I didn’t mean to embarrass you,” Jane whispered. “I guess I’m used to Hannah not worrying about her diapers.”

Sammy was grateful Jane understood. “Thanks. Maybe Hannah is right to not care.”

“Nah, she’s just used to it. Once you’re at daycare for a while and realize you’re not the only one going through this, it gets easier.”

“Yeah, daycare is the BEST, Sammy! It’s so much fun! We get to play all day, and you can be my best friend!” Hannah shouted at the prospect of it.

Hannah’s genuine excitement took Sammy by surprise. It was one thing to accept she was a Little. But how could Hannah love daycare when that was where her dreams of becoming a teacher died?

Yet, Sammy couldn’t shake the idea that maybe Hannah was the lucky one. Hannah didn’t fret over the future, her past, or anything but the present. She had no reservations about being a Little.

Wasn’t there freedom in that? Power even?

Sammy glanced around the pool, studying each person, searching for any evidence to contradict the unmistakable truth: Hannah was the happiest person there.

Why shouldn’t Sammy want that for herself?

She spends so much energy worrying about how people see her…and for what? It won’t help her stop being a Little.

All she had to do was let go.

Sammy realized Hannah never stopped talking about daycare.

“And the playground has three slides! And there’s a tower where we play Knights and Princesses! You could be a Princess!”

“The most beautiful princess in all the land!” Sammy said in her most regal voice.

“Mhm! And and and your Knight in Shining Armor can save you from the dragons!” Hannah added, excited that Sammy was engaging.

A twang of sadness hit Sammy at the thought that a boy—another Little like her—would be that Knight in Shining Armor.

But Sammy resisted, determined to stop herself from another pity party.

Not today.

She looked at Hannah's expectant face, eager to play, and decided that for today, at least, she would let herself enjoy the moment. What harm would there be in being Little for the afternoon? She can worry about everything else later.

She’s earned a day of fun.

“My Knight will be the most gallant in the kingdom! He’ll protect his Princess from 100 dragons if he has to!”

At a table a few feet away, Kendra tops off Alyssa and Linda’s wine. Linda had just sat back down, her face reflecting the exasperation of dealing with a Little struggling with potty training after months of success.

Kendra raises her glass. “To the joys of being a Caregiver.”

“Never a dull moment,” Linda agrees.

Allie watches Emily shyly approach the pool.

“Poor thing, she says, “Must be tough having accidents being an L3.”

“We have a meeting with her Daycare Supervisor on Monday to discuss her accidents. I’m not sure she’ll like their recommendations very much.”

Kendra nods in agreement. “Nope, but it’s what's best for her. They’re the best in the business for a reason, as you’ll see, Allie.”

“I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews,” Allie said.

“Oh, they work wonders,” Linda agreed. “You couldn’t have chosen a better place to help Sammy.”

“I guess that’s why Stanford recommended them. It’s a relief knowing Sammy is in the best place for her to make it through the program.”

Allie couldn’t place the look between Kendra and Linda.

“So, Sammy is still set on Stanford?”

“Oh yes, she’s quite determined. With any luck, she’ll be enrolled for spring semester!” Allie said proudly, as if rebuffing the look.

“Well, a Caregiver's work is never easy—every Little has their own challenges. Sammy with college, Emily with potty training. You really hit the jackpot with Hannah, Kendra.”

“I wish I could take full credit, but I don’t know where we would be if it weren’t for the program. Hannah had the same issue, you know. Determined to go to college. So, I understand the anxiety.”

“What do you mean?” Allie asked.

“Having to worry about Sammy failing college courses. That’s what makes the program a lifesaver; they really focus on helping Littles accept their regression and avoid all that unnecessary trauma.”

“I’ve heard it can be devastating for Littles. I imagine it’ll be such a relief when Sammy lets go of Stanford, and you have a sweet Little like Hannah. I got lucky Emily wanted to be an artist. All I needed to help her was a few hundred dollars of art supplies.”

Allie forced a smile, fighting a storm raging inside her. She watched Hannah splash around, giggling.

She wanted Sammy to make it to Stanford, of course. Sammy was her Little; her job as a Caregiver was to help her be happy. The thought of holding a heartbroken Sammy, knowing she would never make it to Stanford, was almost too devastating to imagine.

But deep down, she wondered if Kendra and Linda were right.

Was it not more loving—compassionate even—to guide Sammy away from Stanford? Isn’t it her duty to ensure Sammy avoids unnecessary trauma? Would she be a bad Caregiver to even let Sammy try, knowing the odds are stacked against her?

Allie watched Sammy playing mermaids with the girls, lost in thought.

Laughing and out of breath, Sammy and Hannah swam to the ledge, both smiling ear to ear.

For the first time in weeks, Allie saw the same joy that Hannah radiated on Sammy’s face. An authentic, reflexive happiness.

Seeing Sammy embracing the moment, enjoying herself as a Little, Allie let herself imagine a world where Sammy was always this happy, this free, this unburdened. A quiet, aching wish to keep Sammy right here. Laughing and small and safe.

A world where she never has to mend Sammy’s shattered heart from a future determined to crush it.

And the terrible thing, the thing that frightened Allie most, was how much it sounded like love.

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 29

Read Chapter 28 here.

Chapter Twenty-Nine

Sammy couldn’t decide if she was nervous or excited as Allie unbuckled her and was lifted out of her car seat. After the whirlwind of her life since her Classification, having a day to just relax and play seemed to be just what the doctor ordered.

Yet Sammy couldn’t shake the nagging worry in the back of her mind that giving in and having fun would mean ending up like Hannah. Hannah wanted to go to college and be an elementary school teacher, so something must have happened between then and now for her to give up and embrace being just a Little.

Did Hannah willingly give up on her college dreams—or was it out of her control, the regression taking the choice away from her?

It was a question that weighed heavily on Sammy ever since she met Hannah. Jane said Hannah wanted to go to college, just like Sammy. But Sammy couldn’t accept being at the mercy of her regression—that meant Sammy was powerless to control her own destiny.

And Sammy was determined to make it to Stanford. She was in control of her destiny, not the regression. But if it was a choice, then why did Hannah choose this life?

And more importantly, if Sammy let go and enjoyed herself as a Little, would she inevitably give up too?

“Okay, diaper bag, swimsuits, wine, and towels,” Allie muttered to herself, as if she were reading a checklist.

Sammy reached for the towels. “I can help, Allie.”

“Thanks, sweetie. Excited to go swimming?”

Sammy nodded, despite her reservations. This was the first time she’d wear a swim diaper. There was something about swim diapers that seemed even more infantile than diapers. Not to mention the bright turquoise swimsuit that Allie said was a “perfect 90s throwback.”

But at least she managed to convince Allie to let her wear an almost-adult pink sundress, though Allie insisted on Sammy wearing her pink diaper and bow to “complete” the look.

They walked to the door, but before they rang the doorbell, the door swung open. Two men with golf clubs walked out.

“Allie? No way, how did I not realize you were the Alyssa everyone was talking about?”

“Probably all those concussions playing football at USC,” Allie taunts, giving the man a hug. “It’s great to see you again, Matt! I didn’t know Linda would be here!”

Matt laughs. “You too! It’s been far too long,” he turns to the other man, “Oh, where are my manners? This is Ron, Kendra’s husband.”

“Nice to meet you, Alyssa,” he says.

“Call me Allie, any friend of Linda and Matt is a friend of mine.”

“And you must be Sammy,” Matt says to Sammy, “Hannah’s been going on and on about her new friend!”

“H-hi,” Sammy responded sheepishly.

“Well, the girls are out back, I’ll show you in,” Ron offers, putting down his clubs.

Sammy follows everyone inside. The house is beautiful but full of reminders that two energetic Littles occupy it.

She hears Hannah before she sees her, loudly wondering when Sammy would arrive.

Ron opens the sliding glass door. “Guess who’s here, princess?”

“SAMMY!!”

“Whoa there, honey, no running in the house when you're all wet,” Ron says as he stops Hannah.

“Hmpff. Fine. Then come outside, Sammy!”

“Calm down, squirt,” Jane teases, rubbing Hannah’s hair. “Hey, Sammy! Hi, Miss Sammy’s caregiver!”

Sammy waves at them. “H-hi Hannah and Jane.”

Linda and Kendra catch up with Hannah, smiling at Sammy and Allie. Emily follows behind them.

“Hi Sammy, that dress is adorable!”

“Thank you, Miss Kendra.”

“Good to see you again, Alyssa,” Kendra says, offering Allie a glass of white wine. “Linda tells me you’ve never turned down a glass of pinot grigio.”

“Oh, she did?” Allie laughs.

Ron looks at his watch. “Gotta run, our tee time is in 20 minutes! Have fun, girls!”

“I swear those two live on the golf course,” Linda says as Ron leaves the house.

“Well, come on outside, girls, it’s a perfect day.”

Sammy’s jaw dropped when she saw the entire backyard. The pool was huge, with a diving board and a water slide, and cool floats scattered throughout. To the left was a covered patio with a TV, couches, a dining table, and a counter with a built-in grill and even a minifridge.

“This is gorgeous. I could get used to this,” Allie jokes.

“Wanna swim with us?” Jane asks Sammy, “Emily wants to play mermaids!”

“YEAH, wanna play mermaids Sammy?” Hannah echoes Jane.

Not even Sammy can turn down Mermaids, her favorite game growing up.

“I love mermaids!” Sammy says, feeling excited.

“We gotta get you changed first, Sammy,” Allie interrupts, “Unless you want to swim in that dress?”

Sammy blushes.

“You can change her in Hannah’s room, Allie. Second door on the right.”

Hannah’s room was an explosion of pink.

“Do you think she likes pink?” Allie asks Sammy when they get inside the room.

“I think even Barbie would say this is too pink.”

“You’re not wrong. Let’s get you changed before I get a migraine.”

Allie lays Sammy on Hannah’s changing table and removes her diaper, plopping it into the diaper pail. She wipes Sammy clean and pulls out a swim diaper.

“No tabs?” Sammy asks.

“Of course not. It’s more like a pull-up.”

Sammy breathes a sigh of relief. “I thought it would be different. I can get used to this!”

“I bet you can, Sammy. But you've got to be careful; they aren’t designed to hold any liquid, so don’t be sitting on any couches inside.”

“They don’t?”

Allie laughs. “Well, what do you think would happen if they did? You’d soak up the whole pool! They’re just designed to hold solid messes.”

Sammy’s face flushed. Solid messes was somehow the most embarrassing way to phrase it.

“Oh, th-that makes sense.”

With the swim diaper on, Allie lifts Sammy off the changing table. “Arms up.”

Sammy lifts her arms as Allie pulls off her dress.

“I absolutely adore this swimsuit!” Allie says, grabbing it from her bag. “I love that the 90s are coming back.”

Allie slides the swimsuit on Sammy and steps back, taking in the entire ensemble.

“Ahhh, I love it!” she squeals.

Sammy sees herself in a mirror. She would never admit it, but the swimsuit was pretty cool. Though it did little to hide the swim diaper peeking out.

“Ready to go?”

“Yeah!”

At least nobody will tease her for diapers here. And besides, there are Mermaids to be played.

Sammy almost runs headfirst into Linda as she walks out the door.

“Sorry, Miss Linda,” Sammy apologizes.

“You’re okay, dear. My gosh, that swimsuit is adorable! I had one just like that when I was little!”

“Right?” Allie agrees, “She’d fit right in at a pool party in 1995.”

“Come on, I ha—oh no…” Emily whimpers as a puddle forms at her feet.

“Oh, sweetie, not again. That’s the second accident this week. First, the nap time accidents, now this?”

Emily covers her face, whimpering even more.

“No need to cry, sweetie. Accidents happen. But I think it’s best we keep you in pull-ups for the rest of the day.”

“What? Noooooo, please!” Emily whines, looking horrified, “I don’t need them!”

“Sorry, honey, but you got lucky having an accident on the tile. What if it was on Miss Kendra’s nice couch?”

“B-b-but…”

Sammy can’t help but pity Emily. It may be embarrassing to wear diapers, but having an accident like that on the floor of someone’s house? Sammy shudders at the thought.

“Do you need any help, Linda?” Allie asks.

“No, no. I got this. We’ll catch up after we get everything clean.”

“Yay! Sammy’s ready! Come on, let’s go in!” Hannah shouts excitedly when she sees her walk outside.

“Hold on, Sammy. We gotta get some sunscreen on you so you don’t burn.”

Sammy pouts but follows Allie away from everyone. She reaches for the sunscreen.

“I’ll do it, sweetie.”

“It’s not hard, I can handle it!”

“Sorry, Sammy. Arms out.”

Allie sprays Sammy down with sunscreen, making sure she doesn’t miss a spot. Sammy fusses the whole time, especially when Allie rubs the sunscreen on her face.

“Hurry Miss Allie!” Hannah squeals excitedly, practically jumping in anticipation.

“There, ready to swim,” Allie finally says.

Hannah grabs Sammy’s hand and pulls her to the pool.

“Hannah! What did I say about being crazy by the pool?” Kendra scolds Hannah.

“Sorry…”

“Now girls, I want you both to stay in the shallow end. No deep end unless there is an adult in the pool with you. Got it?”

“I…I know how to swim, Miss Kendra,” Sammy says.

Kendra smiles. “I’m sure you can, little one, but rules are rules.”

“Okay…”

“Thank you, Sammy. Now, Jane, can I trust you to make sure they behave? We’ll be watching but you’re in charge of Hannah and Sammy.”

Jane puffs up at getting some responsibility. “You can trust me!”

“Alright, show me you can be a big girl, honey.”

Jane walks over to Hannah and Sammy, putting out both hands for them to grab. “No running, okay? We can go in the pool by the steps.”

Allie’s heart melts watching Sammy lead to the pool, hand in hand with her friends, diaper poking out of her ridiculously adorable swimsuit.

The water is warmer than Sammy expected, but still refreshing after being in the hot sun. She stepped down, lower and lower.

Hannah showed no such patience, jumping right in without a care in the world.

Sammy, meanwhile, was struggling with the idea of a swim diaper. It just felt wrong to wear a diaper in the pool.

But she took a deep breath and jumped in.

Sammy’s Little Problem, Ch. 28

Read Chapter 27 here.

Chapter Twenty-Eight

Sammy barely stirred as Allie changed her diaper, somewhere between awake and asleep. A serene, contented smile peeking behind her pacifier.

Morning sun trickled into the nursery, enveloping the room in a comforting golden glow. Birds chirp their happy songs in the distance. The world at peace.

Even Kaya, their usually rowdy golden retriever puppy, basked quietly in the sun, lying on her back, paws stretched out.

Allie treasured these moments most of all—these intimate, tender moments between a Caregiver and her Little when the outside world faded away.

There was no shame or embarrassment in Sammy’s eyes. Only love and comfort. She’s free from her fears about the future for a few beautiful minutes, not even fussing about having her diaper changed.

These fleeting moments are more rewarding for Allie than Sammy could ever understand. No matter what the future might hold, Allie hopes Sammy can be as happy and relaxed as she is right now.

Allie finished taping on Sammy’s diaper, watching the morning grogginess fade from her eyes.

“Good morning, Sammy,” Allie cooed, snapping the last button of Sammy’s onesie, “How’d you sleep?”

Sammy stretches, her feet wiggling off the changing table, sending Kaya into frenzied excitement. If Kaya learned anything about the morning routine, it’s that Sammy’s morning wiggles mean it’s time to start the day.

“G-good morning,” Sammy yawns, “I’m coming, I’m coming, Kaya!”

Allie lowers Sammy off the changing table. Sammy sits on the floor, letting the golden floof hurricane jump all over her, licking her face. Sammy erupts into laughter.

“You two are just so stinking cute. Ready for breakfast?”

Kaya immediately bounced up and down. Based on their reactions, Allie can’t tell who is more excited for breakfast.

“Yes, please, Allie!”

Ten minutes later, Sammy is happily—if not messily—eating her plate of waffles, strawberries, and whipped cream.

“Slow down, silly. It’s breakfast, not a race with Kaya!”

“What? It’s yummy!”

Allie smiles, wiping strawberry syrup from Sammy’s cheek. “I can see that! Are you excited to play with Hannah and Jane today?”

Still blushing from having her cheeks wiped clean, Sammy hesitated.

“I-I think so.”

Allie wasn’t surprised at Sammy’s hesitation. It wasn’t that Sammy couldn’t make friends; it was just the first time she’d be doing it as a Little.

If it were up to Sammy, Allie was sure she’d prefer to keep her old friends, Lindsay especially. But Allie knew, and was sure Sammy did, too, that her friendship with Lindsay was forever altered.

It wasn’t that Sammy and Lindsay couldn’t be friends, of course. They’d always be friends. Family, even. And Allie would always encourage them to spend time together.

But the unmistakable truth is that Sammy is a Little, not a Caregiver like Lindsay. In a few weeks, Lindsay would head off to college. She’s starting her journey to adulthood. She’ll graduate, get a job, and maybe even start a family.

The social chasm between Sammy and Lindsay will only grow over time.

Sammy will never have those same experiences. At least not the way Lindsay will. Even if Sammy makes it through the daycare program, her college experience will vastly differ from Lindsay’s.

Unlike Lindsay, Sammy will never stay in a dorm and is unlikely to attend a single lecture in person. Littles don’t get such freedoms. Sammy will only take online courses at home under Allie’s watchful eye.

Besides, Stanford’s lecture halls don’t come with changing tables and a place for Sammy to sleep for her afternoon nap.

“It’s okay to be nervous, Sammy. I know it’s not the same as spending time with Lindsay, but making new friends isn’t a bad thing, right?”

“Well, no. But…it’s just…I don’t want to end up like Hannah, that’s all…”

Allie rubbed Sammy’s back. “Oh, honey, is that what this is about? Just because she didn’t pass the daycare program doesn’t mean you won’t.”

Tears welled in Sammy’s eyes. “She…she didn’t want to be a Little, either! She wanted to go to college like me. And now…now she’s…shes just a Little!”

Allie took a deep, steadying breath. “Sammy, look at me. Hannah is not just a Little. And there is nothing wrong with accepting things as they are. Besides, she’s not some smart rocket scientist like you. If anyone can make it to college, it’s you.”

“Yes, she is! What else does she do? That’s right, nothing! All she is is a Little!”

“She’s also happy, Sammy. Sometimes, when life gives you lemons, you just have to make some lemonade. That’s all I want for you, Sammy. To be happy. Because like it or not, you’re a Little, too.”

“Easy for you to say,” Sammy retorted with searing sarcasm. “You got to go to college! People treat you like an adult! You don’t even have to wear diapers. You just change them. Must be nice!”

Allie thinks back to the peaceful morning diaper change. It’s funny how fast things change. Well, it would’ve been funny if her heart wasn’t breaking with every word.

“Sammy, I understand. I get it. It’s not fair. But there’s nothing you can do but move forward.”

Allie immediately knew that wasn’t the right thing to say. The tears that had been welling in Sammy’s eyes fell down her cheeks.

“NO! I won’t!” Sammy screamed, “I won’t be some dumb Little who sits around all day pooping their diaper and watching cartoons! Won’t W—. ”

Sammy’s yells devolve into sobs, sinking into her chair. Allie picks her up, carrying her to the couch. She lays Sammy on her lap, resting her head on her shoulder.

Allie lets Sammy cry. This isn’t time for logic—there aren’t any words that would help Sammy right now. All Allie can do is comfort Sammy as she cries.

Minutes pass as Allie rubs Sammy’s back, Sammy’s sobbing the only noise in the room. Eventually, Sammy’s sobs ease, and Sammy readjusts herself, resting her face on Allie’s collarbone.

She couldn’t understand why—her mind argued against it—but, as if compelled by instinct, Allie lowered her top and bra. Somehow, her heart knew Sammy needed it.

She was right.

Without hesitation, Sammy wordlessly latched on, her eyes closed. The tension in her body immediately faded away as she suckled. Sammy’s sobs lessened as Allie rubbed Sammy’s back.

Allie sighed in relief, glad that Sammy never opened her eyes. She didn’t want Sammy to see the tears welling in her eyes—to see she was just as overwhelmed as Sammy. A whirlwind of emotions raged within her, clashing with each other.

Sammy’s fears and anxiety threatened to crush her under the weight of her responsibility. It was her job to be there for Sammy and guide her into this next chapter of her life. She never expected it to be easy, but watching Sammy breakdown felt like having her own heart ripped out.

She couldn’t explain why this moment felt different—this certainly wasn’t Sammy’s first meltdown over her future.

There was something about Sammy’s comment that Hannah was “just a little” that rattled Allie to her core.

To make things more confusing, Allie's feelings of doubt and worry were matched by another, seemingly contradictory feeling.

Allie never felt more like a Caregiver than at this moment. A tidal wave of love and contentment—feelings that only come from finding one’s true purpose and passion—sprung out of her.

Allie watched Sammy continue suckling, tears now falling in earnest. Her Little, the person she chose to devote her life to caring for, needed her. And in that moment of need, when it felt her entire world was crashing down on her, she turned to Allie. It was in Allie’s arms, in this embrace, that Sammy found solace and peace.

Sammy may not be her biological child, but Allie understood this was no longer just a Caregiver/Little relationship.

Sammy was her child, blood be damned.

She loved Sammy more than anything she had ever loved in her life. She would do anything—anything—for the fragile Little in her lap who needed her.

She was so lost in thought that she hadn’t noticed Sammy had stopped suckling.

“I-I’m…I’m sorry, Allie…D-didn’t mean to make you cry…I…”

Allie met Sammy’s tearful eyes, so full of concern, sadness, and, most of all, vulnerability.

She smiled, wiping her own tears.

“You have nothing to apologize for, Sammy. I love you. I love you more than anyone in the entire world. Sammy, you are my world. These aren’t tears of sadness; these are tears of love.”

A single tear tumbled from Sammy’s eye as she processed Allie’s words. “P-promise, Allie?”

“Yes, Sammy. I promise. I love you. I will always love you.”

Sammy’s eyes flooded with tears, spilling down her cheeks. Not tears of sadness, Allie knew. She could see it in Sammy’s eyes, as if the weight of the world had been lifted from her.

Behind those watery eyes, Sammy understood she was safe. She was loved.

She was home. And unlike her parents, Allie would never abandon her—no matter what. The thought buoyed Sammy’s spirits.

“I-I love you too, Allie!” Sammy beamed, hugging Allie so tight she was worried she’d break a rib.

Allie hugged her back, an embrace that lasted minutes, hours, days. Not a word was said, yet the hug was a conversation in itself. Neither needed to speak; the embrace conveyed more than any words could ever hope to achieve.

“Kaya! Kaya! Tickles!” Sammy squealed.

While they hugged, Kaya had sprinted onto the couch, crashing the moment between Sammy and Allie in a way only a needy, loving golden retriever could do. She locked on Sammy, licking her feet.

It was as if the heaviness of the day, of the conversations, of Sammy’s doubts had disappeared. Sammy laughed hysterically as Kaya climbed her way over Sammy, wedging herself between the two of them.

“Such a silly puppy!” Allie laughed, watching Kaya dig her head into Sammy to lick her face.

“Hehehe! Okay, okay, you got me, Kaya!” Sammy squealed in utter delight, her diaper crinkling as she squirmed.

Allie watched the two play on her lap, grinning from ear to ear.

“C-can we take Kaya for a walk before we go play with Hannah, please?”

How could Allie say no?

“Of course, Sammy. Let’s go get you changed.”

Allie wiped the last tear from her face, happier than she had ever been in her entire life.

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 27

Read Chapter 26 Here.

Chapter Twenty-Seven

“Alright, little ones, settle down! It’s time for the next chapter of Holes! I see a few new faces, so my name is Kendra for those who don’t know. I started Little’s Corner three years ago after I became my sweet Hannah's Caregiver. It was so hard to find social activities for her, so I figured, why not start my own?”

Hannah squealed excitedly at the mention of her name. “Kendwa is my cawgiwer,” she lisps to Sammy.

Sammy nods her head. “I heard.”

“You’ll have to forgive her,” Jane adds. “She loves the attention, don’t you, Hannah?”

“Hey, do not!” Hannah squeals.

“Hannah, remember we use our inside voices in Little’s Corner!” Kendra gently chides.

“Sowwy,” Hannah pouts.

“Now, where did we leave off last time?” Kendra asks the group.

A cacophony of shouting erupts from the Littles.

“Camp Green Lake!”

“The meanie Warden!”

Kendra smiled as the Littles’ shouting died down. “Hmmm, I heard some things about Camp Green Lake and a mean Warden.”

“Stanley just arrived at Camp Green Lake, Miss Kendra,” Jane said confidently.

“Good job, Jane! Last we left, Stanley learned that he would have to dig holes all day!”

Sammy looked around at the other Littles waiting in blissful anticipation for Holes—not a care in the world. None of them seemed even remotely embarrassed to be here. They simply enjoyed themselves.

For a split second, Sammy wondered if they had it right. Maybe giving in and embracing her new life would be better. Wouldn’t it be easier not to worry about Stanford, studying, and proving she’s not some helpless Little?

“No!” Sammy told herself, “I’m not like them! I’ll never be a mindless Little, content to toddle around in a poopy diaper. Never.”

Still, the thought shook Sammy to her core. What if all these Littles were like her once? Did they also try to fight to retain their independence? Would that mean she would be doomed to the same fate?

Sammy struggled to maintain her composure. She didn’t want to think about that. Not here, not now. Fortunately, Kendra had started the next chapter of Holes. And—to Sammy’s surprise—it was surprisingly entertaining.

Fortunately for Sammy, Holes was one of her favorite books growing up. After a long day of studying and equations, nothing beats escaping into another world. She had read it so often that her book was practically falling apart.

Sammy let herself escape once again into Holes. It was comfortable, like a warm blanket and cup of hot cocoa on a frigid winter day.

She was so immersed in the story that she barely noticed the commotion brewing around her—or the rapidly worsening smell.

“Hannah,” Jane said, “Did you go poopoo? Someone stinks!”

Sammy snapped back into reality when Hannah fell onto her lap, screaming. “No! Didn’t! No poopoo!”

Kendra stopped reading and focused on Hannah, who was fighting Jane’s attempts to check Hannah’s diaper.

“Jane, honey,” Kendra said kindly, “I appreciate you trying to help, but next time, maybe ask a Caregiver for help.”

Jane let go of the squirming Hannah. “Yes, Miss Kendra. I’m sorry…”

“No need to apologize, dear. You just wanted to help!” Kendra said as she picked Hannah up from Sammy’s lap.

“I think she made a stinky!” Jane said.

“Did not!” Hannah yelled again.

Kendra pulled back Hannah’s diaper, ignoring the struggling Little’s attempts to squirm free. “Whew, you’re right, Jane!”

Jane smiled proudly.

“Sorry for Hannah jumping on you, little one,” Kendra said to Sammy. “Hannah here will do anything and everything to hide her messy diapers. Can you apologize to her, Hannah?”

“No! I didn’t poopoo! Did not! Did not!” Hannah screamed.

“Well,” Kendra laughed, “Maybe she will apologize once she’s changed.”

“I-it’s okay, Miss Kendra,” Sammy said.

“You’re sweet,” Kendra said, turning to the group. “Sorry, little ones, I’ll be right back after a quick diaper change. Hold tight.”

Another caregiver stood up. “I can change Hannah for you, Kendra. You have a gaggle of Littles hanging at your every word. And I’m much better at changing diapers than reading out loud!”

Kendra smiles thankfully. “Are you sure? She’s a handful when she’s like this!”

“Not a problem! Believe me, my little one knows how to throw a tantrum or two when he doesn’t want to be changed.”

“Well, thank you,” Kendra says, handing over a screaming Hannah to the Caregiver, “My diaper bag is right over there.”

“Got it,” she says, “C’mon, Hannah, let’s get you changed.”

Hannah’s screams died down as she was carried away. Kendra sits back down, searching for where she left off.

“Sammy, honey,” Allie whispers in Sammy’s ear, “Why don’t you come over here with me for a second?”

“O-okay,” Sammy moans, not wanting to miss any more of Holes. She follows Allie to her seat.

“Just thought you’d want some privacy,” Allie says.

“Allie!” Sammy squeals as Allie lowers Sammy’s jeans and inspects Sammy’s diaper.

“Honey, nobody is paying any attention,” Allie assures Sammy, pulling her jeans back over her diaper. “You don’t need a change quite yet. Go back and listen to the story.”

Not wanting to risk any further embarrassment, Sammy immediately heads back and sits next to Jane.

“Sorry about that,” Jane whispers, “Didn’t mean for Hannah to fall on you.”

“It’s okay. She was really upset,” Sammy answers.

“She does that every time she has a messy diaper! You’d think she’d be used to it by now. But nope. A tantrum every time.”

“How do you know?” Sammy asks.

“She’s my…well, I guess little sister,” Jane responds. “Kendra is both our Caregiver!”

“Oh! I thought she was only Hannah’s Caregiver.”

“Nope, mine too! I just prefer not to be mentioned every Little’s Corner. It’s embarrassing.”

“I don’t blame you,” Sammy replied, “I wouldn’t want everyone staring at me, either.”

“When did you get classified?” Jane asks.

“This year. Not long ago,” Sammy concedes.

Jane gives Sammy a look somewhere between pity and understanding. “Oh. Yeah, it’s hard at the beginning. But it gets easier, I promise.”

“I hope so,” Sammy says, “Because it still feels strange being in diapers and having a Caregiver follow me around.”

“Yeah, I know. I watched Hannah go through it a few years ago. She fought and fought. But she’s much happier now!”

“What do you mean?” Sammy asked.

“Well, her dream was always to attend college and be a teacher. She babysat for the entire neighborhood from the moment she was old enough. I think she wanted to be a first-grade teacher. I don’t remember, exactly. Definitely elementary school.”

Sammy felt a pit form in her stomach. “Did…did she ever go to college?”

“No,” Jane answered flatly, “The daycare program said she couldn’t handle college courses. So, that was that.”

“How did she handle it?”

“Well, by the time she was denied, I don’t think she really cared. I think she enjoys the attention as a Little.”

“She enjoys it?”

“I think so! You think it’s hard to believe?”

Sammy hesitated. “I mean, yeah. It’s hard to imagine anyone enjoying this, you know?”

“Oh, I don’t know. I mean, it does suck at first, sure. But there’s something comforting about knowing someone is watching over you, caring for you. Not having to stress.”

“I…I guess…”

“You’ll see what I mean! That’s why it is almost impossible to make it through the college daycare program. So many Littles fail. But they never seem to mind, in the end. I was lucky; my grades were terrible. Wasn’t going to college anyway.”

“I-impossible?” Sammy stuttered, genuinely frightened.

Jane realized her mistake immediately. “Definitely not impossible. Two people from my grade made it to college! I’m sure you can, too!”

“I…I hope so…” Sammy whimpered.

Before Jane could answer, Hannah rushed over to Jane. “All clean! No more ickies!”

“Glad to hear it, squirt! Come here,” Jane said, sitting Hannah between her legs.

Hannah turned to Sammy. “Hey, wanna come pway, Sammy? I have wotsa fun toys and a pool! We can pway Mermaids!”

“You’re such a sweetie,” Jane said to Hannah, “Always making friends. But she’s right, Sammy. You should come play!”

“I…okay,” Sammy said unevenly. She did want to make some friends. But the thought of a playdate was still nerve-wracking. “I’ll have to ask my Caregiver.”

“Ask me what?” Allie said.

Sammy jumped. “Oh, I didn’t know you were there!”

“You three were chattering away! Didn’t even notice Kendra had finished reading!”

Sammy blushed.

“Can Hannah come pway with us, Miss Sammy’s Cawgiver? Pweeease?!?!” Hannah asked Allie, jumping up and down.

Allie looked at Sammy. “Well, I don’t see why not! Would you like that, Sammy?”

“Pwease, Sammy!” Hannah squealed, “We’ll have the bessest time ewer!! Pwomise!”

“Are you making more friends?” Kendra interrupted, picking Hannah up and putting her on her hip.

“Mhm! Dis Sammy!” Hannah said.

“Hello, Sammy,” Kendra said, “Is this your Caregiver?”

“Alyssa,” Allie told Kendra, “Sammy’s my new Little.”

“Nice to meet you, Alyssa. I’d be happy to host you two for a playdate! We can have some wine by the pool while they swim. And my husband has been itching for an excuse to fire up his new grill.”

“That sounds great!” Allie responds, “Wanna go, Sammy?”

“It’ll be fun!” Jane adds.

“Sure!” Sammy agrees.

As Allie and Kendra exchange numbers, Sammy frets over what Jane said. Was it actually that hard to make it to college? Would she end up like Hannah? Would she become so little she'd throw tantrums over messy diapers in public?

It was all Sammy could think about until she fell asleep later that night.

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 26

Read Chapter 25 Here.

Chapter Twenty-Six

Sammy sat on the couch next to Adam, her heart pounding. Adam leaned towards her. It was about to happen.

She was finally going to kiss Adam.

The kiss was wetter than she expected. But she didn’t mind; she was kissing Adam!

“Okay, okay, calm down, Kaya!”

Sammy paused. Who said that? And why were they calling Adam Kaya?

She opened her eyes, only to find her golden retriever puppy, Kaya, excitedly staring back at her. Allie held the squirming puppy, clearly desperate to continue licking Sammy.

“Sorry! Kaya couldn’t stay away from you any longer, and I figured nothing beat puppy kisses to wake up from a long nap! How’d you sleep?”

Sammy wiped her face, giggling. The dream faded from her memory. “Good!”

“That’s great, Sammy!” Allie cooed, checking Sammy’s diaper. “No stinkies, but you really filled your diaper up! Must have had some good dreams!”

“I guess,” Sammy responded as Allie carried Sammy to the changing table.

Allie made quick work of the change. Within minutes, Allie had Sammy comfortably on her hip as they went downstairs. She smiled down at Sammy.

“She’s getting so comfortable,” Allie thought to herself, “She doesn’t even her onesies anymore”

“Do you want a snack?” Allie asked as she set Sammy down to play with Kaya.

Kaya wasted no time, jumping on Sammy and trying to lick her face. “Ummmm, Sammy squealed, “Yes, please!”

“Alright, just don’t get up to any funny business. I’ll be right in the kitchen.”

“Okay!” Sammy replied, fending off another barrage of Kaya kisses.

Allie returned a few minutes later with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. “Come sit next to me, Sammy,” Allie said, “I called Stanford today while you napped.”

“R-really?” Sammy, sitting beside Allie, asked excitedly, “What did they say?”

Allie paused for a second, trying to decide the best way to break the news. “Well, they said you were still able to enroll…but you have to wait until the spring semester.”

Sammy’s body deflated a bit. “But why? Why can’t I start with everyone else?”

Allie picked Sammy up and placed her on her lap. “Well, here comes the bad news. But please, let me finish, okay?”

“O-okay…” Sammy said with unmistakable anxiety in her voice.

“Stanford requires all Littles to do one semester at a daycare program for Littles,” Allie said, feeling Sammy squirm hearing it, “Let me finish, Sammy. It’s just to make sure the Littles can handle the rigors of college—and it’s only one semester.”

Sammy sat silent for a while, fighting off tears. “D-daycare? But…I don’t want to go to daycare!”

Allie hugged Sammy, hoping to fend off a meltdown. “I know, Sammy. It sucks! But it’s something you have to do! You can prove to the daycare you can handle classes, right?”

Defiance welled in Sammy. “I can! I’m not a baby! I can handle daycare! And I can handle college!”

“Of course you can! You’re the smartest person I know! It’s just something we have to do before you can start at Stanford!”

“But what’s the point? You know I can! I don’t want to waste a semester!”

“Sammy, not every Little is as smart and capable as you! Some Littles…well, some regress too far and can’t handle it. And this helps schools find out before they start, that’s all!”

Allie felt Sammy tense up, followed by an unmistakable warmth on her lap. “Regress…too far?” Sammy asked sheepishly.

“Yes, Sammy. And that’s okay! Nobody wants to stress a Little if they can avoid it. I want what is best for you.”

“No!” Sammy shouted, “I won’t! I won’t regress! I’m going to Stanford!”

“I want that, too! But just know that even if you don’t make it to Stanford, I won’t think any less of you! I love you no matter what happens.

Sammy looked up at Allie, eyes full of tears. “I…I don’t wanna regress that far, Allie! Please! I don’t wanna be some dumb baby.”

Allie wrapped Sammy in an enormous bear hug, trying to soothe her Little. “Sammy. I will do everything I can to get you to Stanford, okay? I truly believe you can handle it. But it’s not the end of the world if you don’t.”

“Easy for you to say,” Sammy said flatly.

“It is, yes, because I will love you no matter what. And I’ll make sure you're happy no matter what happens. You’re a Little—my Little—and I will always make sure you’re happy.”

Sammy still looked mutinous.

“How about this, Sammy,” Allie interjected before Sammy could argue, “Why don’t we go to the bookstore and get you some books to keep your mind occupied? You’re much less likely to regress that way!”

“Really?” Sammy said, clearly excited.

“Yes, really,” Allie bluffed, believing it’s better to give Sammy hope that she’s in control over the regression, even if it’s untrue.

“Okay!” Sammy squealed, “Let’s go!” Sammy hopped off Allie’s lap, trying to drag Allie to the door.

Allie laughed. “Sammy, honey, I think I better get you some pants before you run out the door, don’t you?”

Sammy’s face flushed a deep red as she realized she was only wearing a onesie over her now soggy diaper.

“C’mere, silly,” Allie said, picking Sammy up and heading to the door, “Unless you want to go like this?”

“No, thank you!” Sammy begged.

“I’m just playing, you silly goose. Let’s get you changed.”

Five minutes later, Sammy was buckled into her car seat, the elastic-waisted jeans doing little to hide Sammy’s diaper bulge. Sammy prodded at it, not listening to Allie.

“Did you hear me, Sammy?” Allie asked.

“I...what?” Sammy said, snapping out of her daze.

“I said you can get any book you want as long as it doesn’t have anything inappropriate for Littles.”

Sammy huffed, “I’m not an actual baby, Allie!”

“I know, silly. But still, it doesn’t mean I’ll let you get anything with things like sex, violence, drugs.”

“But whyyyy!?!?” Sammy whined.

“Because you are my Little. And I don’t need my Little reading about those things.”

“Hmpff,” Sammy puffed as Allie unbuckled her and helped her out of her car seat.

Sammy always loved going to the bookstore. The smell of the paper, the endless knowledge contained in them, and the silence.

Of course, that was before Sammy tumbled back to diaper dependency. Now that her diaper crinkled loudly with every step, Sammy wasn’t sure she appreciated the oppressive silence.

Allie noticed Sammy’s hesitation. “Don’t worry, Sammy, nobody can hear the crinkling but you. It’s all in your head,” Allie lied for the second time today.

Sammy blushed but relaxed.

“Where to?” Allie asked.

Sammy looked around. “Ummm.”

Before Sammy could answer, an older woman approached Allie. “Are you here for the Little’s Corner? They’re about to start now! Just down and to the back!”

“The what?” Allie asked.

“Oh, I apologize,” the woman replied, “I saw your Little and assumed you were here for it. It is quite the popular event for book-oriented Littles!”

“Well, thank you, maybe we’ll check it out.”

“Happy to help,” the lady said before walking away.

“Well, what do you think? Might be fun to make some new friends?”

Sammy hesitated. She hated when people made it seem like it was so obvious she was little.

“C’mon. Let’s go for a few minutes. If you hate it, we can leave,” Allie prodded.

“I-okay,” Sammy faltered, “Only for a few minutes.”

Allie grabbed Sammy’s hand as they walked toward the back of the store. As they did, they could hear the warble of excited Littles—and their Caregivers trying to calm them down.

“Sounds like they’re having fun, Sammy! Maybe it won’t be so bad!” Allie said, noticing Sammy was slowing down.

“I don’t know, Allie…” Sammy whined.

“Oh, c’mon, Sammy, you’ll be fine.”

As they got to the Little’s Corner, Sammy saw a group of what looked to be 15 people, half of them Littles, sitting excitedly on the ground, arranged around an excited-looking woman in her early 30s.

The woman immediately noticed Sammy and Allie. “Hey guys, you’re just in time! I’m about to start reading Holes! Feel free to sit anywhere, little one. There are chairs in the back for the Caregivers!”

Sammy froze as all eyes turned to the newcomers. “I…” Sammy whispered, hiding behind Allie.

“Don’t worry, honey. Everyone here is excited to make more friends!” the woman assured Sammy. “What’s your name?”

“S-Sammy,” Sammy muttered.

“Well, Sammy, why don’t you sit by my friends Jane and Hannah?” she suggested, pointing to two littles around Sammy’s age. “They’re super nice, aren’t you girls?”

Both littles squealed excitedly. One stood up, diaper drooping below her dress, and lisped through her paci, “Thammy, come thit wif uth!”

“Awww, that’s very nice of you, Hannah,” the woman said. What do you say, Sammy? Do you want to sit with Hannah?”

Sammy looked at Allie for support. “Go on, Sammy!” Allie pushed Sammy towards the excited little.

“Yay!” Hannah squealed, nearly tripping Sammy as she excitedly pulled her to sit with them.

Sammy sat between Hannah and Jane. “Nice to meet you, Sammy!” Jane said, “I’m Jane, that’s my Caregiver over there. Are you an L2 or L3?”

“Hi,” Sammy said shyly, “I’m L2.”

“Oh, just like Hannah!” Jane smiled, “I’m an L3! And don’t worry, Little’s Corner is so fun! I’ll watch over you and Hannah!”

“Yeah, Thammy! We can be beth fwienths!” Hannah exclaimed, sitting next to Sammy.

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 25

Read Chapter 24 Here.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Sammy looked away sheepishly as Allie gave her the “I told you so” look. The giant wet spot on the back of Sammy’s dress—and car seat—where her diaper leaked offered unmistakable proof Allie knew best.

But Sammy would never admit that.

“Alright, Sammy,” Allie said as she picked up Sammy, “Let’s get you changed before you play with Kaya.”

“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to!” Sammy offered.

“I know, Sammy. It’s not a big deal. I need to trust my instincts.”

Sammy watched Kaya sniff around the nursery while Allie changed her diaper, laughing occasionally as Kaya clumsily stumbled over her toys. Allie was thankful for the distraction. For once, Sammy wasn’t squirming around during a change.

Allie discovered another benefit of Sammy’s distraction: Sammy didn’t notice Allie dressed her in a t-shirt with nothing covering her diaper. Allie meant to give her some shorts, but Sammy ran away with Kaya before she could.

Not that Allie minded; Sammy was adorable playing with Kaya. If Sammy didn’t mind, neither would Allie.

Sammy and Kaya played on the family room floor for forty minutes. Sammy never noticed Allie filming the overwhelmingly cute moment of them happily playing together, not a care in the world.

“Hehehe Kaya!” Sammy squealed as Kaya jumped on Sammy and licked her face. “Here, go fetch!”

“Lunch time!” Allie interrupted, “You two can keep playing after I put some food in your belly.”

“But Allie! I wanna keep playing!” Sammy whined.

“You can play with Kaya as soon as you eat your peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And all your carrots,” Allie insisted.

“Ugh…fine,” Sammy retorted, stuffing a massive bite of the sandwich in her mouth.

Allie’s phone buzzed. Allie’s mom and Lindsay gushed over the video of Sammy playing with Kaya.

“What are you smiling about?” Sammy inquired.

“Oh, nothing,” Allie lied, “Just thinking about how cute you and Kaya are together.”

Sammy blushed. “Am not!” Sammy argued.

“Says the person with jelly on her cheeks! I don’t know how you always get your food everywhere but your mouth.”

“Do not!” Sammy argued, hastily wiping her mouth, “See! Can I play with Kaya now?”

“If you say so, silly. Yes, you may,” Allie laughed.

Allie watched Sammy play for another half hour as her diaper slowly swelled. Despite her waddling becoming more pronounced, Sammy never paid attention to her diaper. When Allie stepped in to get Sammy ready for her nap, Sammy was waddling like a penguin.

“Okay, Sammy. I think it's time to change that diaper and put you down for a nap,” Allie said. It’s already fifteen minutes past naptime.”

“I don’t need a nap, Allie! I’m not a baby. I can stay up and play with Kaya if I want! And my diaper is fine!” Sammy seethed.

Allie sighed. “Look at your diaper, Sammy. Do you really think you don’t need a change?”

Sammy complied, blushing as she realized how soggy her diaper was. “I don’t care! I want to keep playing! I don’t want a nap!”

Allie just smiled as Sammy stomped her feet in frustration.

“Won’t! Won’t! Won’t!” Sammy raged, “No na—.”

Sammy stopped midsentence. The anger on her face was immediately replaced by panic.

“Mmph,” Sammy grunted, knees buckling as she squatted down, grunting again. Sammy’s pleading eyes met Allie’s.

Allie tried to calm Sammy as tears started welling in Sammy’s eyes. “It’s okay, Sammy. I’m here.”

Sammy didn’t respond. The sound of Sammy filling her diaper echoed across the room. Sammy whimpered helplessly as it happened.

“All done?” Allie asked as Sammy’s grunts slowed.

“I-I-I…Allie!” Sammy wailed.

“Shhh, I got you, Sammy,” Allie cooed as she picked up her sobbing Little.

If Allie thought it would calm Sammy down, she was mistaken. Sammy fought Allie the entire way to the changing table, squirming and kicking in between sobs.

Allie let Sammy’s tantrum continue unabated. She knew Sammy was exhausted after a stimulating day. She’d be fine with a clean diaper and nap.

The trick was getting there.

Sammy continued to fight Allie the entire diaper change. Allie did her best to subdue Sammy, though it wasn’t easy despite Allie’s significant strength advantage. After fifteen minutes, Sammy was finally changed and in her onesie—but her tantrum was raging as strong as ever.

Allie knew this was her chance. Picking Sammy up from the changing table, Allie carried her sobbing little to the bathroom. Allie opened the medicine cabinet and stared at the prescription bottle with her name on it.

Butterflies fluttered wildly in Allie’s stomach. The contents of the prescription bottle would radically change her relationship with Sammy. Something she deeply craved yet worried Sammy would reject, despite the promising moment a few days earlier.

Allie grabbed it, thinking about her doctor’s advice during the visit. It was why she asked Lindsay to babysit Sammy for the night—though she didn’t tell Lindsay why she scheduled the doctor’s appointment.

No, this was too personal to share. This was for her and Sammy. Nobody else. It would, at least for the time being, be their special thing together.

Allie took a pill and swallowed it. She doubted it would be effective after so few doses, but it didn’t matter. Sammy clearly needed something to calm her. Allie wanted to be closer to Sammy. And what better way than this?

Sammy continued to cry as Allie returned to the nursery and sat on the rocking chair. A fresh wave of nerves washed over Allie as she positioned Sammy. She kissed Sammy’s forehead before lowering her shirt.

For a second, Allie panicked as Sammy resisted Allie’s effort to guide her head to her chest. Sammy looked up at Allie, eyes uncertain.

“It’s okay, Sammy,” Allie whispered, “I love you so much.”

Sammy sniffled before accepting the situation, latching on to Allie. As soon as Sammy did, Allie knew this time was different. The medication worked. Sammy briefly paused at the new sensation but continued anyway.

Tears welled in Allie’s eyes as she met Sammy’s gaze. Sammy was content. Happy. Allie ran her fingers through Sammy’s hair as she watched her eyes grow heavy. By the time Allie switched positions, Sammy’s eyes no longer opened.

Allie never felt more connected, more at peace with the world than she did then. She held Sammy long after she stopped suckling, fast asleep, wishing she could stay in the rocking chair forever.

But Allie knew what she needed to do while Sammy napped. She mustered every ounce of willpower and carried Sammy to her crib, tucking her in.

“Sleep tight, Sammy,” Allie cooed as she left the room, “I love you.”

Allie needed a few minutes to collect herself before she called Stanford for Sammy. She was in a daze. She felt profoundly connected to Sammy and her role as Caregiver.

Finally, she grabbed her phone and called the registration office.

“Thank you for calling Stanford Registrar’s Office. My name is Cindy. How may I help you?”

“Hi Cindy, my name is Alyssa. I’m calling about my Little, Samantha, who was accepted into Stanford before she was classified as an L2 Little. I want to see what is needed to enroll her in school.”

“No problem, Alyssa,” Cindy replied. “Your Sammy isn’t the only one in this position. Let me pull up her file. Can you provide more information so I can locate her records?”

Allie provided it all. After a few minutes, Cindy said, “Yep, there she is. She was accepted into the Aeronautical Engineering program, too.”

Allie detected the subtle pity in Cindy’s voice but ignored it. This was for Sammy. “Yep, that’s her!” Allie said.

“Perfect,” Cindy said, “Stanford, like many other universities, has a one-semester daycare policy for all Littles. While many Littles can—and do—go on to be successful in their academic careers, many Littles regress…well, a bit further than others.”

“I see,” Allie replied skeptically, “But I don’t see how daycare helps with that.”

“I understand that concern,” Cindy responded, “But it is not a typical daycare. Sure, there are all the hallmarks of a daycare: changing tables, diaper checks, and playtime. But it is designed to keep the Littles intellectually and academically engaged.”

“Then why not just permit Sammy to enroll now?”

“Good question. We found this program is better for both the Littles and Caregivers. Those Littles who cannot handle the academic requirements of daycare will find this a much less stressful experience. It’s cheaper and easier to find out a Little cannot handle daycare than paying for a semester of college only for the Little to be overwhelmed and needlessly stressed.”

“So, you’re weeding out the Littles who aren’t able to handle college before they start.”

“Precisely. And those Littles who can handle it will only be a semester behind. They also benefit from socializing with other Littles and having more time to adjust to their new life. Which makes it easier for them to focus on their classes.”

“Okay, I guess that makes sense. Is there a specific daycare you have in mind?”

“There are a few companies, but based on your location, I recommend the Littles Preparatory Academy. They accept Littles through the end of summer. I can provide the information for you if you’d like.”

“That would be great,” Allie says as she writes down the information, “And if Sammy is ready after the semester, what then?”

“She will take a reduced class load of online classes designed to work around Little’s needs. Most Littles can graduate only a year later than their, well, regular peers.”

“Understood. And does the Littles Preparatory Program work with your office?” Allie asked.

“Yes, when you enroll in the program, they will send their recommendation to our office. If Sammy is ready, she can enroll for the Spring semester.”

“Perfect. Thank you so much for your help, Cindy!”

“No problem. Have a great day!” Cindy replied.

Allie wondered how she’d break the news to Sammy. She should have known there might be a program like this. But it’s too late now. At least Sammy still has a path forward to Stanford.

If Sammy doesn’t regress too far, that is.

Chapter Twenty-Four

“Ugh, diaper changes are so boring,” Sammy thought as Allie smiled down at her in the changing table.

Sammy looked around the room for anything to distract her. Diaper changes were still embarrassing, but the boredom was the worst. They took so long, especially messy diaper changes.

Allie laughed as Sammy absentmindedly suckled her paci and stared off into space, still groggy from waking up.

“Did you have fun with Lindsay last night, Sammy? She said you two had a blast!”

Sammy blushed, hoping Lindsay didn’t mention her tantrum. “M…mmhmm! We had a wotta fun! I made so much pwogwess,” Sammy started before spitting out her paci in embarrassment, “I made so much prog-ress on my Millenium Falcon.”

Allie laughed at Sammy’s overemphasis on saying progress correctly. “Well, I’m glad! And guess what? I think you’re gonna be excited about today!”

“Why? What’s happening today, Allie?” Sammy asks curiously.

“Hmmm. Well, do you remember asking for a puppy by chance?”

“YES!” Sammy explodes in delight. “Really? We can get one, Allie?”

Allie does her best to hold her squirming little one on the changing table. “Yes…but only if you calm down! We can’t go anywhere until I get you into this diaper!”

Sammy tries her best to stop fidgeting, too excited to lie still. “YAY! THANK YOU, ALLIE! I always wanted my own puppy!”

“They just got a new batch of golden retrievers at the pet store. If we hurry, we can get first pick!”

“Okay!” Sammy answers excitedly, “Let’s go now!”

“I’m going as fast as I can with you squirming! You don’t want your diaper to leak, do you? I didn’t think so! Now, give me a few more seconds...there!” Allie says, tossing the messy diaper in the diaper pail and helping Sammy off the changing table.

Sammy runs to her dresser, furiously looking through her clothes.

“Honey, you’re making a mess! I already picked out your clothes! Come over here so I can help you change out of that onesie!”

A few minutes later, Sammy wore an adorable pink sundress with a matching pink paci strapped on.

“Now, Sammy, please don’t spill anything on your dress, “Allie begged. “I don’t want to change you again, and this dress is so cute!”

To Allie’s relief, Sammy managed to keep the oatmeal off her dress despite the dangerously quick eating pace.

“All done!” Sammy smiles.

“Are you sure, Sammy? I think most of your oatmeal ended on your cheeks!” Allie laughs, wiping Sammy’s face. Sammy blushes, realizing how childish she must have looked.

“I…hmpff...can we go now?” Sammy whines impatiently.

As she’s buckled into her car seat, Sammy wondered if she’ll ever get used to it. It almost feels more childish than the poorly concealed diaper under her dress.

Sammy doesn’t dwell on her car seat long—not when she feels the ominous rumbling in her tummy. “H-how long until we get there?” Sammy asks sheepishly.

“About ten minutes! Why? Is someone excited to get a puppy?” Allie replied, eyeing Sammy through the rearview mirror.

“Yeah…” Sammy faltered, not quite achieving the confidence she hoped.

“What’s wrong?” Allie queried, Everything okay?”

“I...y-yeah. My tummy hurts,” Sammy whimpered.

“Oh, sweetie, that’s nothing to be worried about! You worry about choosing the cuddliest, most playful pupper there, okay? It’s my job to worry about your diaper, not you.”

“B-but…I-it’s embarrassing! I don’t want to do it in public!”

“Sammy, listen to me. It’s a perfectly normal part of life for you now. Nobody expects you to keep your diapers clean. And nobody will ever tease you for it! You’re a Little—be proud of who you are! I sure am!”

“I know, but—” Sammy started.

“No buts. There is no point in crying over spilled milk. You can throw a pity party if you want, but it won’t change a thing. Or you can smile knowing you’re a few minutes away from meeting your new best friend!”

“I—okay, Allie!” Sammy responded, cheering up a bit, “I guess you’re right.”

“You know I’m right, silly!” Allie responded, “Now, can you get focused on puppies? We’re here!”

By the time Allie got her out of the car, Sammy had forgotten all about her tummy. Allie couldn’t resist the massive smile plastered on her face, seeing Sammy practically shaking in excitement.

“Sammy, don’t run off!” Allie yelled as she grabbed her excited Little.

“Come on, Allie!” Sammy whined, trying to drag Allie inside.

The pet store owner, a pleasant older man who could easily be Santa’s brother, laughed as he watched Sammy pull Allie inside. “Uh oh, someone’s excited to see some puppies!” he chuckled.

“Clearly!” Allie responded exasperatedly, “I heard you got a brand-new litter of golden retrievers. And it just so happens Sammy here has been begging for a golden!”

“We did, just got them in yesterday!” the worker said before turning to Sammy, “Would you like to meet them, Sammy?”

“Yes, sir! Please, may I?” Sammy squealed excitedly.

“Of course, Sammy! And call me Greg!” Greg said, gesturing to Allie and Sammy to follow him.

“Thank you, Mr. Greg!” Sammy bubbled behind him.

They followed Greg to a gated enclosure full of dog toys and chairs. “You two get comfortable while I go get the puppies!”

As he left, Allie watched Sammy flutter around the enclosure, too excited to sit still. Allie forced herself to hold back tears. Seeing Sammy this happy, lost in the moment, not even thinking about her Little status or diapers made Allie happier than she ever thought possible.

Sure, Allie knew it meant more work. She’d have two “Littles” to care for now. But that was a cost Allie would happily pay to see Sammy practically vibrate in pure joy.

“Slow down!” Allie laughed, “Save some of that energy for the puppies!”

“But…PUPPIES!” Sammy rebutted like a lawyer who believes their argument is so self-evident that there is nothing else to add.

“Alright, Sammy, but if you’re gonna be so antsy, why don’t you come over here for a second?” Allie says with an unmistakable maternal twinge.

“N-no thank you,” Sammy giggled, picking up on Allie’s tone.

“No? Are you gonna make me chase you, silly Sammy?”

“Allieee,” Sammy whined, “Please no, just puppies!”

Allie gave Sammy the best “don’t test me” look she could muster. Sammy hesitated for a few seconds, mulling over her options.

“Fine…” Sammy sighed, walking to Allie.

“Thank you, Sammy,” Allie praised. “It’ll be quick before Greg comes back.

Sammy’s face flushed a deep red as Allie lifted Sammy’s dress and checked her diaper.

“That wasn’t so bad, was it?” Allie cooed, “You’re not too wet and no stinkies! You’re good to play with some puppies!”

See!” Sammy huffed, “I told you I didn’t need to be changed!”

“You were right! But I still need to check!”

Before Sammy could argue, Greg walked over with a big cardboard box. Allie opened the gate to let him in.

Greg kneels, smiling at Sammy. “You ready, Sammy?” he asks dramatically, “Cause I have seven new friends who’d like to meet you!”

Sammy jumps up and down, too excited to care about the audible diaper crinkling following each jump. Allie and Greg smiled at each other, wordlessly agreeing that Sammy is adorable.

“Alright then, Sammy. Can you sit down for me so I can let them out? I don’t want you to trip on them!”

“Yes, Mr. Greg!” Sammy squealed. Sammy immediately sat down, eyes full of anticipation.

“Thank you! Here they come!” Greg says as he lowers the box.

The second the box touched the floor, a golden tsunami of puppies crashed into Sammy, knocking her on her back. All seven puppies vied for Sammy’s attention, jumping on her and licking her face. Laughter erupts from Sammy as she tries to pet each dog.

“I think they like you, Sammy!” Greg chuckled.

Sammy played in the puppy puddle for another fifteen minutes, giggling the entire time. “Allie, look at this one!” Sammy finally announced.

The puppy Sammy held was smaller than the rest, with a shiny, intense golden coat. Of all the puppies, it seemed most attuned to Sammy, never wanting to leave her side. Sammy, for her part, thought she was the cutest, especially because it kept licking her nose.

“She’s adorable, sweetie!” Allie encouraged.

“Can we get her, Allie? Pretty please?” Sammy begged, holding the puppy for Allie to see. “I love her so much! I’ll do anything!”

Allie smiled. “Of course! If that’s the one you want!”

“YAY!” Sammy screamed joyfully, “Thank you, Allie!”

“You’re welcome, Sammy! What are you gonna name her?”

“She doesn’t have a name?” Sammy asked Greg.

“Not yet, Sammy! That’s for you to decide!”

“Really? I get to choose?” Sammy whooped.

“Really!” Allie prodded, “So what’s it gonna be?”

Sammy looked down at the puppy trying to lick her face. She stared for a few seconds, lost in thought.

“Oh, I know! KAYA!” Sammy announced.

“What a beautiful name for a beautiful puppy!” Greg declared.

“Kaya it is!” Allie concurred.

Greg and Allie herded the rest of the puppies back into the box as Sammy beamed. “I love you, Kaya!” she bubbled.

“Sammy, can you stay here with Kaya while Greg and I get Kaya all the supplies loaded into the car?” Allie asked.

“Mmhmm,” Sammy responded distractedly, grabbing rope for Kaya to tug.

Ten minutes later, the car is loaded. Allie uses Sammy’s focus on Kaya to sneak in a diaper check.

“A-Allie!” Sammy squealed as she felt her diaper being checked.

“Good thing I checked; someone must have been excited playing with Kaya! We gotta get you changed, Sammy!”

“B-but A-Allie, not here! Can you please change me at home?” Sammy begged.

“I don’t know, Sammy. You’re about to leak. Why don’t I change you here quickly? Greg can watch Kaya for you.”

“NO, ALLIE, PLEASE!” Sammy howled.

“Okay, okay. But don’t come crying to me if you leak, Sammy!”

“I won’t!” Sammy insisted.

“We’ll see, silly. Now, let’s get my two little ones home. Can you tell Greg thank you?”

“Thank you, Mr. Greg! I promise I’ll take extra good care of Kaya!”

“I know you will, Sammy!” Greg says as they walk out the door.

Read Chapter 22 here.

Chapter Twenty-Three

“I-I’m sowwy, Windsay,” Sammy offered meekly through her pacifier, staring up at Lindsay through tear-filled eyes.

“Oh, Sammy, you have nothing to apologize for, okay?" Lindsay assured Sammy.

Lindsay smiled down at Sammy, glad she finally calmed down. Wiping Sammy clean as she thrashed about, overwhelmed by the moment, had been exhausting. She was just happy to have her friend back.

“I…I know, Winds. I justh feel so helpwess now and…I don’t know, I justh…,” Sammy trailed off, unable to explain her feelings. She didn’t want to sound ungrateful that Lindsay and Allie had been so generous, so loving to her when she needed it most.

Yet…being so dependent on them for her basic needs made her feel like a burden. They never asked for this. Sammy would never be able to repay or adequately thank them. It was a one-sided relationship.

And that wasn’t even considering her own feelings of inadequacy. Lindsay was supposed to be her best friend, her partner in crime. Now she’s wiping her clean on the changing table.

It wasn’t fair.

Lindsay gazed deep into Sammy’s eyes, hoping to see the cause of Sammy’s anguish. She took a deep breath. “Sammy, I know this is overwhelming. I know how strange it must be to be in this position when your best friend changes your diaper. But you need to understand: I love you. Allie loves you. My parents love you. None of us are doing this because we have to. We want to help you.”

Lindsay pressed on, noticing the tension in Sammy’s body easing. “You’re not helpless, you’re not worthless, and you’re not a baby. I don’t think any less of you than before. You’re still going to be a college student at Stanford! So, I don’t want any more of this pity party, okay?”

“Fank you, Winds, that means a wot! I wuv you too!”

“You’re very welcome, Sammy. Now, let's get this diaper on you and get you ready for bed.”

“B-but, I’m not tiwed, Winds! Please, can I stay up a widdle longer?”

Lindsay pretended to think it ever, knowing it wasn’t Sammy’s bedtime. But if she knew anything about Sammy, she loved getting her way. “Oh, all right! How about we go downstairs and watch a movie?”

“Yay, fank you, Winds!” Sammy squealed in delight.

Lindsay reached down and grabbed a pink nighttime diaper for Sammy. As she fluffed it, Sammy predictably whined, “Not a nighttime diaper! It's not bedtime, you said so!”

“Sorry, Sammy. Allie’s orders!”

“…fine,” Sammy grumbled.

Lindsay gawked at the thickness of the diaper in her hand. “Poor thing,” Lindsay thought, “She probably can’t even walk in these things.”

Two minutes later, the massive diaper was taped onto Sammy. Sammy lay there, feeling extra small in her nighttime diaper, completely unable to squeeze her legs together.

Lindsay did her best to hide her smile. Sammy looked so cute with her pink Cinderella diaper bulging out.

“Okay, let’s get you into something more comfortable,” Lindsay suggested, walking over to Sammy’s dresser to grab a onesie.

Sammy panicked when she realized Lindsay must be grabbing a onesie. “No need, Winds, I’m vewy comfortable in this!”

“I’m sure you are, Sammy. But look, this one is so cute!” Lindsay suggested, showing Sammy a cute all-pink onesie.

“N-no fank you,” Sammy retorted.

“Don’t be such a grump, Sammy,” Lindsay said playfully, “Let's get this shirt off you.”

Too drained from her meltdown, Sammy sighed and raised her arms, letting Lindsay remove her shirt and slide the onesie on.

“Lift your bum for me, Sammy,” Lindsay cooed, “thank you.” It took some effort, but she eventually snapped the onesie in place. “You ready to head down?”

Sammy tried to shift herself off the table, but the diaper prevented her from swinging her legs.

Acting quickly before Sammy could complain, Lindsay lifted Sammy off the table.

“Fank you...” Sammy muttered, trying to hide her embarrassment.

“Of course, silly. What movie do you wanna watch?” Lindsay asked, holding out her hand,

Sammy grabs it, face lost in thought. “Ummmm, Coco! Ith the besth Pixthar movie ever!”

“Coco it is!” Lindsay agrees. Sammy reached the stairs, eyeing them tentatively. “Do you need help getting downstairs?”

“I…ummm…yeth, pleath,” Sammy concedes.

“Ok, let's go one step at a time, okay?” Lindsay suggests, helping Sammy down the first step.

By the time they reached the bottom of the stairs, Lindsay was fighting with every ounce of willpower she had not to squeeze Sammy’s cheeks. It was cuteness overload for Lindsay. Sammy’s diaper was so thick that she looked identical to an unsteady toddler, taking each step slowly and methodically.

“Why don’t you go put on Coco, Sammy? I’m gonna get us some drinks.”

“Okay!” Sammy squealed, excited for a bit of responsibility.

Lindsay fumbled around the cabinets, searching for Sammy’s sippy cups. She realized, to her dismay, they were all in the dishwasher. There was only one remaining option: the oversized baby bottles staring back at her.

“Well, here goes nothing,” Lindsay thought to herself. In a flash, she had milk warming on the stove. If she was ever going to convince Sammy to use a baby bottle in front of her, it had better taste delicious. She added extra milk, deciding Sammy would be more accepting if Lindsay drank it, too.

Luckily, Lindsay remembered her favorite drink that her mom made for her whenever she couldn’t sleep. All she needed to do was add some sugar and vanilla to the milk and voila. Once it was warm, Lindsay filled Sammy’s bottle and put the nipple on before filling her own mug with the sweet-smelling milk.

“Sammy, please don’t freak out,” Lindsay pleaded, walking toward the couch, “But the only clean cup was this baby bottle. I’m sorry, but I promise, it’s no big deal! And I made us both my favorite drink ever!”

For a second, Sammy looked on the verge of a tantrum. But to Lindsay’s surprise, Sammy took the bottle without argument. Lindsay breathed a sigh of relief.

Lindsay sat next to Sammy, who was squirming in anticipation of the movie. It may not have been how she imagined their last summer together before college, but she was relieved to see such an authentic smile on Sammy’s face. She knew Sammy would be okay.

“Play the movie, Linds!” Sammy begged. Five minutes later, Sammy cheerfully drank her bottle of milk, legs swinging happily.

By the time Sammy was halfway done, she helped herself to Lindsay’s lap, staring up at Lindsay as she drank, her eyes growing heavy. Lindsay smiled down at her friend struggling to keep her eyes open.

Sammy fell asleep before she finished the bottle.

Lindsay carried her friend back upstairs, gently lowering Sammy onto the crib. Sammy’s diaper was wet, but not enough to warrant a change—especially when the nighttime diapers could hold significantly more.

“Goodnight, Sammy,” Lindsay whispered to her best friend before closing the door.

Lindsay nearly jumped off the couch when Allie walked in the front door half an hour later.

“Hey, Linds,” Allie smiled, “Wasn’t sure you’d be awake. Did you two have fun?”

“Yeah, she fell asleep around 45 minutes ago. She was an angel. Well, except for a small tantrum earlier. But otherwise, it was a great night!”

“Thank you, Linds. I know it’s hard babysitting your best friend, but she’s lucky to have a friend like you.”

“I’d do anything for her, Allie, you know that. Even if it means changing her stinky diapers while she’s in the middle of a tantrum. It’s strange, though. When she messed her diaper and broke down sobbing, I didn’t feel like her best friend at that moment. I felt…”

“Like every part of you needed to help her? As if there was nothing you wanted more than to console her? And you were confused by how natural it felt because you instinctively understood how to help her?”

Lindsay thought for a second. “I…yeah, I guess. How did you know?”

“Because I’m a Caregiver too, Lindsay. I’ve been down this road. Sammy isn’t the only one going through changes. You are, too. That won’t be the last time you feel that way towards Sammy. Or other Littles, children, and people in need.”

“Really? I guess I didn’t think I’d feel any different. I don’t know…”

“It’s a bit jarring at first, to be honest. But you’ll get used to it. Besides, if we didn’t change at all, we’d be Neutrals. Of course something had to change.”

“Yeah, you’re right. I probably should’ve actually paid attention in class.”

“Well, you’re not the only one. Nobody paid attention to those classes my year, either. It doesn’t matter; experience is the best teacher anyway. And it’s not like you’re adopting a Little tomorrow anyway.”

“Or ever,” Lindsay laughs, “Sammy is a lot of work!”

“You do realize I also swore to Mom I’d never adopt a Little when I was your age. But here we are. But who knows, not all Caregivers adopt. Mom and Dad didn’t! Caring for Littles isn’t the only way Caregivers can feel needed!”

“You’re starting to sound like Mom, you know that? Let me have my fun at college before you start with the Caregiver stuff!”

“Okay, okay, Linds, you win. You want to sleep here tonight, or are you okay driving home?”

“I’m fine to drive. Besides, your guest room is now a nursery. I prefer a bed to a couch.”

“I’m sure Sammy wouldn’t mind sharing her crib! You could even try her diapers!”

“Bye, Allie,” Lindsay scoffs, smiling as she walks out the door.

Sammy's Little Problem, Ch. 22

Read Chapter 21 here.

Chapter Twenty-Two

“Thank heavens for Legos,” Lindsay thought to herself. She needed the distraction from the awkwardness of the timeout, as well as something to do with Sammy that was appropriate for Littles.

It was strange having to think back to her childhood to find common ground with Sammy, when just a few weeks ago they were discussing their future, independence, and careers.

But here Sammy was, playing with Legos in a diaper that Lindsay herself changed. It was such a wild departure from everything she expected. Not just for Sammy—but her too.

Lindsay thought Sammy would be the Maid of Honor at her wedding. And, of course, Lindsay would be the Maid of Honor at Sammy’s wedding.

That’s what best friends did.

But now, everything was different. Could a Little even be a Maid of Honor? Lindsay could only imagine how awkward that conversation would be, let alone the wedding itself.

Sammy would obviously never marry. If Lindsay knew anything about Littles, it was that. Littles never dated, never married, never even kissed anyone.

That’s just the way things were.

Lindsay wondered if that was something Sammy ever thought about. She knew she would in her position. How could she not? They both discussed the dream men they hoped to marry for hours only a few weeks ago.

Lindsay’s heart sank for Sammy. Surely she’d thought about that. Surely it was just one of a hundred things she knew she lost along with her independence.

“Wow! You’re flying through that!” Lindsay said enthusiastically, “Almost back to where it looked like you were before it broke!”

“Yeah, it was easy because I remembered most of what I did!” Sammy said proudly.

“The way you’re going, I think you can finish before Allie gets home!” Lindsay encouraged Sammy. She never thought she’d be congratulating Sammy so authentically for something as simple as a Lego construction—or that Sammy would be so happy about it.

“I hope so. I want to show Allie when I finish! She said it would take me a week, but I can do it in 2 days, just watch!”

“I know you can, Sammy!”

Lindsay watched Sammy enthusiastically build for the next 40 minutes, smiling at her determination. Sammy never noticed the pictures Lindsay took, or even cared that Lindsay was absentmindedly scrolling through Instagram.

Sammy suddenly felt a rumble in her stomach. She knew what it meant. And she definitely didn’t want it to happen right there in front of Lindsay.

Sammy tried to think of a distraction. Anything that would keep Lindsay occupied. She wasn’t hopeful enough to think she could make it to the bathroom, but she could at least get away from Lindsay to do it.

She didn’t want her to see it happen.

“Lindsay, I forgot something in my room. I’ll go get it real quick. Be right back!” Sammy tried to say casually.

Lindsay had seen Sammy grab her stomach, rocking back and forth, knowing what was about to happen. But she decided it was her gift to Sammy. She’d give her enough privacy to fill her diaper in peace.

“Okay, Sammy, I’ll be waiting right here. Don’t take too long!”

Sammy got slowly, trying not to upset her tummy. She slowly waddled out of the room, not daring to make any sudden movements. Once she was out of sight, she relaxed.

Lindsay laughed. Sammy actually believed Lindsay couldn’t see her.

Sammy tried to take a few extra steps upstairs, but it was no use. She squatted down where she stood, grunting in effort to fill her diaper. She wished she hadn’t eaten those chicken nuggets, as they definitely were creating much more work for her.

She tried to push, helping her body along, so she wouldn’t draw Lindsay’s suspicions by taking too long. She knew her grunts were louder than normal, but it was fine. Lindsay couldn’t see her anyway.

She pushed and pushed, working hard to fill her diaper. She felt her diaper sag under its unusually heavy load.

In between pushes, Sammy tried to look at her jeans, wondering if her diaper was noticeable. But whenever she tried, her body forced her back into a squat.

Finally, Sammy thought she finished. She hadn’t pushed in a while. She decided to stomp on the stairs a bit to sell that she was coming back downstairs.

She walked back into the room, trying her best to act casual. “Sorry, I thought I forgot my paci.”

Lindsay tried her hardest not to laugh. She knew Sammy’s paci was clipped to her shirt. But she didn’t want to make Sammy’s antics seem too obvious.

It didn’t matter. She would fill her diapers anyway. If she thought she had privacy, and that made her happy, that was all that mattered.

“No biggie, Sammy! Did you get it?”

“Yeah!” Sammy said, putting the pacifier in her mouth.

Lindsay tried not to wince as Sammy sat back down, smushing her mess even more, giving Lindsay even more work to do. “Well, what’s the next step, Sammy?”

Sammy talked Lindsay through the next few steps. Proud of the progress she was making—and tricking Lindsay into not knowing she messed her diaper.

“Wow, I can almost see it looks like I’m Star Wars!” Lindsay brags for her.

“Well, right now I’m just working on the interior. Once I finish, I can put the exterior pieces!”

Lindsay let Sammy work for a few more minutes. The smell was becoming obvious. And she knew Allie would never forgive her if she let Sammy go too long with a loaded diaper.

Lindsay pretended to sniff the air, as if it wasn’t obvious what she was sniffing. “Uh oh, I think someone here has an icky diaper! But who could it be?”

Lindsay didn’t know why she said it like that, but something made her think it was the right approach.

She doubled down, “Hmm, I wonder who it is?”

Sammy tried to act as innocent as possible, hoping Lindsay wouldn’t press the issue. “I don’t know! Maybe it was one of my stuffies!”

She wasn't sure why she chose to pin it on her stuffed animals, but she followed Lindsay's playful tone.

Lindsay smiled, “You know what, it could be! Let’s go check your stuffies upstairs!” She couldn’t have thought of a better idea. She’d be right next to the changing table and ready to change Sammy once she admitted it.

Sammy didn’t know how, but she was determined to get out of this. She got into Stanford; she could think of her way out of this.

“Okay, I bet it was Mr. Bunny!” Sammy said, trying to act cute and distract Lindsay.

“Well, I think we should go check! Mr. Bunny won’t get diaper rash on my watch!”

They head upstairs, Sammy leading Lindsay to her room. Lindsay laughs to herself, wondering if Sammy realizes her smell gives her away.

“Where’s the lil’ stinker Sammy? Show me where Mr. Bunny is so I can clean his tushy!”

Sammy leads her to Mr. Bunny, having no idea how to get out of this situation. All she knows is she can’t have Lindsay find her in a dirty diaper. And the thought of her changing her like this? No no no.

Lindsay spots Mr. Bunny. “Is he the one responsible for the stinky smell?” She takes a dramatic sniff of Mr. Bunny. “Hmmm, I don’t think Mr. Bunny is our culprit. But who can it be?”

Sammy tries to slowly sneak out of the room, knowing the jig is up.

“Wait a minute, I think someone is trying to frame Mr. Bunny!” Lindsay says as she sees Sammy try to run out of the room.

Sammy thinks she’s in the clear as she turns the corner. She turns around to see if Lindsay is following her. As she does, she takes a step back, not noticing the stuffed animal on the ground. She trips, falling straight back on her messy diaper.

The sensation immediately overwhelms Sammy. It’s too much. She feels dirty and needs help. She doesn’t even care anymore if Lindsay knows.

Anything to stop this feeling.

Sammy doesn’t know what to do or what to say. How to admit to Lindsay she needs her. All she knows is she’s overwhelmed. Tears start filling her eyes as she starts to sob. Once she starts, it intensifies as she cries out for Lindsay.

Lindsay heard Sammy fall. She runs out of the room after Sammy, only to find her on her back, crying her heart out. Lindsay thought it would be cute if it wasn’t so heartbreaking.

There her best friend in the world was, lying on the ground in a dirty diaper, sobbing like a toddler. For the first time that day, Lindsay didn’t see her best friend. She saw a needy toddler in desperate need of a clean diaper.

She had to help her, not because it was her best friend, but because her Caregiver instincts were suddenly taking over.

As Sammy cried, Lindsay reached down and picked her up, putting Sammy on her hip.

“It’s okay, Sammy, I got you. I’m here. Lindsay is here. We’ll get you into a clean diaper in no time, sweetie. Just breathe. I got you, baby.”

Despite her best efforts, Sammy continued to cry. Lindsay decided there was nothing else to do but change her. She put Sammy on the changing table and got to work.

My New Babysitter, Ch. 8

Read Chapter 7 Here

Chapter Eight

Maddie squeezes my hand as I desperately look anywhere but at her. I can’t bear looking at her, not as my body forces me to fill my diaper in front of the only girl I’ve ever kissed. Every grunt that forces itself out of my mouth is like a punch to the gut from Mike Tyson.

A hand finds its way to my face, turning my head to face Maddie. I don’t fight it despite my deep humiliation. I’m terrified of what I’ll see in Maddie’s eyes as I helplessly fill my diaper next to her, strapped in the Ferris wheel, unable to flee in shame.

“Jack, look at me,” Maddie urges, both authority and tenderness in her voice, “You don’t have to be embarrassed! You really think I didn’t know this would happen eventually? This won’t even be the first messy diaper of yours I changed, silly!”

I meekly look up, meeting her gaze. Her smile is disarming.

“Thank you, honey. Now, I want you to push, get all those stinkies out for Maddie, okay?”

I hesitantly nod my head.

“No, no,” she says sternly, “I want you to say, ‘yes, Maddie.’”

I stare deeper into her eyes. Her voice was stern, but her eyes were still warm and comforting.

“…Yes, Maddie.”

“Thank you, Jack.”

I obediently push, partly to get this humiliation over with, partly because listening to Maddie feels like the right thing to do. We sit silently for the next few minutes as I finish filling my diaper.

“All done?” she asks as my grunts cease.

“Y-yes, Maddie…”

“Good boy, now turn around so I can inspect the damage.”

I do as I’m told. The back of my shirt is lifted up before my diaper is pulled back.

“You’re such a big stinker!” Maddie chides, “You sure can fill a diaper!”

I shiver in embarrassment, hoping none of our friends saw or heard what had happened—and what Maddie said, way too loud for my comfort.

“Oh, calm down, Jack. I’ll get you cleaned up as soon as we get off the ride!”

“O-okay, Maddie. It’s just—I’m sorry for ruining the moment like this…” I mutter.

“You didn’t ruin the moment! You’re in diapers. You can’t control when you go. It happens. It’s not a shock to me, Jack. I expect you to fill your diapers.”

“I know, but…it’s not how I imagined my first kiss to go!”

“Awwww, I knew you were inexperienced, but I didn’t think this was your first kiss! But don’t worry, sweetie, I’ll make it up to you once we get you out of that messy diaper! Sound good?”

My stomach flutters again. I didn’t blow my chances!

The ferris wheel slows to a stop. We’re the last ones off, and we walk to catch up with the group.

Olivia is smiling broadly, ready to burst in excitement. “Well, how was the ride, you two?”

I feel the gaze of everyone in the group, knowing smiles on their faces.

“Look, even Maddie’s blushing!” Jessica teases, “I wonder why? I could have sworn I saw you two all snuggled up close! Were you just telling secrets, or do you have something to share?”

“Nope,” Maddie answers innocently, “Just two friends enjoying the ride. Right, Jack?”

Jessica laughs. “Interesting, I could have sworn I saw some kissing!”

Before either Maddie or I could answer, I saw Olivia’s face scrunch up. “Wait, something smells here—and I’m not talking about what did or did not happen between you two!”

Olivia marches over to me, pulling the back of my diaper open and peeking inside.

“I thought so!”

My face must have been beet red. I hate getting checked so openly in front of everyone—especially when I need a change this bad.

“Okay, Jack, time for another trip to the changing table!” Olivia says.

“No, I got this, Liv! You take a few minutes off and spend some time with Ryan! I don’t mind!” Maddie says, reaching out for the diaper bag.

“Oh, all right. The changing tables are over there,” Olivia adds, pointing in its direction. “I’ll let you know where to meet us!”

Maddie grabs my hand. “Stay close to me, you little stinker! I don’t want you wandering off!”

I hear the girls giggle as Maddie pulls me away.

The same attendant as before is there guarding the changing tables. He looks at me, then Maddie, a smile growing on his face. “How many babysitters do you have? You must be pretty popular! Or really busy filling your diapers because it hasn’t been very long!”

Maddie pulls my hand past him, ignoring his laughing.

“Lay down, Jack,” Maddie says as she closes the door.

I dutifully get in position as Maddie stands between my legs, pulling down my shorts. I hate this position, even more so when the woman changing my messy diaper is someone I kissed minutes ago.

Maddie rips open the tabs, opening up my diaper. I shrink as the smell fills the room even more than before.

“Wow, so stinky, sweetie!” Maddie coos as she grabs a handful of wipes and gets to work.

I shiver as Maddie wipes me…down there. Maddie giggles.

“Oh, Jack, I can see you’re excited, but you didn’t shiver because the wipe was cold, did you?” she says, conspiratorially.

I look away, unable to answer her. She knows. What can I even say to her?

“It’s okay, Jack! I’d be disappointed if you didn’t react like that! Unlike you, this wasn’t my first kiss. I know what goes on down there after I kiss a boy. Don’t be embarrassed!”

“I-I-I…” I stammer, absolutely flummoxed by her comment.

“Legs up, Jack,” she says. I meekly comply, happy for the distraction.

Nothing is said for the next minute or two—maybe more. To be honest, I have no idea how long the silence lasted. Each second felt like an eternity.

Maddie finally finishes wiping and inspects her handiwork. Satisfied, she reaches into my diaper bag, rummaging through the contents.

“Oh good, you have some baby oil!” she exclaimed.

I haven’t used baby oil in forever. Why does she want to use it now?

She drips a generous amount of oil onto my skin. She smiles, almost deviously, down at me.

She begins rubbing in the oil, slowly. Methodically. Teasingly. I can barely think straight.

Just before she touches my, well, you know, she stops, looking into my eyes. “Is there anything you want to ask me, Jack?”

It takes me a second to comprehend what she said. I was so lost in anticipation. “I, uhhh…”

“You what, Jack? Do you want me to keep going?”

“Y-yes, please, Maddie!” I wheeze, desperate for more.

“Good boy. I know you do. Except that’s not what I wanted you to ask, not at all. Surely you want to see me again, Jack? You do, don’t you?”

“Y-yes, Maddie…”

“Well, then ask me out, silly boy!”

“W-will you g-go out with me, Maddie?”

“Awww, I thought you’d never ask, Jack! Of course I will!” she shouts, “I’d love to go out with you!”

I did it! I asked Maddie out, and she said YES!

“Now…where were we?” Maddie says innocently, staring at me expectantly.

“You...umm…well…” I stammer.

“That’s right!” she snaps, “You need me to tape up this diaper! Duh!”

Before I even register what had happened, Maddie finishes the diaper change, pulling my jeans back up.

“There, how’s that diaper feel, Jack?”

“Good, thank you,” I say, trying to hide my disappointment as I follow her back to the group.

“All clean, Jack?” Olivia asks as she sees us.

“Clean as a whistle, Liv!” Maddie answers for me.

“Good! Well, it’s getting late, and I promised your Mom I’d have you back in bed at a reasonable hour, Jack”

I do my best to ignore the girls’ giggling at hearing that. I hate that my Mom still controls my bedtime—and that they all know it.

“Already? Ugh,” Maddie says disappointedly, “Well, don’t think I’m letting you leave without my number, Jack.”

More giggling. I stand there, unsure what to do. Luckily, Maddie walks over to me, grabbing my phone out of my pocket and putting it up to my face to unlock it.

“Call me, Jack,” she says after she adds her number, sliding my phone back into my pocket.

“I-I will, Maddie,” I say over the incessant giggling.

The second we get into the car, Olivia turns to me, grinning ear to ear.

“Jack! Tell me everything!”
