Am I doing it right? What stretchers would you recommend?

My first time sounding expirience was amazing. I loved to stuff my dick, it felt so hot and the feeling was amazing.
I was not sure if I should by the metall or silicon rods, therefore I bought the silicone ones.
Right after I finished, I wanted to pee, but the pain.... My dick was stinging for 3 days and I am not sure why it was so painful. Was is due to the first time, or maybe the material was not good, and I should try the metall ones? Could you give me some advice? Is sounding always coming with this feeling afterwards?
