Nostalgia Trip? Faces of Ecstasy Book
Hi! I hope this post is ok.
I've spent 5 years tracking down and documenting Dutch ecstasy pills and interviewing the people who make them, sell them, collector them, test them and use them. This book, Faces of Ecstasy is the result, and I thought y'all might be interested. It's 1200+ macro images of 30 years of pills.
I just presented about my project (Dutch Candy) today at the Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research in Haarlem, Netherlands. So I'm particularly excited today.
If anyone has any questions about the journey of tracking down all these pills and people, I'm happy to share what I can.
Faces of Ecstasy: Book with 1,200 Macro Photos + 26 Underworld Interviews
Hey community. I'm here to ask you a favor. I hope this post is ok.
For the past 5 years, I've been archiving and documenting pills made in the Netherlands. So far, we've shot more than 1,200 macro photos of pills from the past three decades, and I've just made it into a book that I'm trying to get published. To meet the publisher's requirements, I have to pre-sale at least 500 of the books. The book has more than twice the number of pills as my website (Dutch Candy) currently shows.
If you or someone you know would appreciate the work that I've put into this project and would like a copy of the nearly 600 pages coffee-table book I've made, please check it out here. Book: Faces of Ecstasy
The release date will be 22 Oct, and we ship worldwide. Or, if you happen to be in Amsterdam, you can pick up your edition at our launch event during Amsterdam Dance Event.
Thank you all for your support over these last 5 years. I really appreciate this community.
