PSA: a client pointed this out to me — please do your research.

I wanted to share something that a client recently brought to my attention.

He mentioned that before booking providers on Tryst, he googles the phone numbers associated with their ads. I imagine that’s something many clients already do. Out of curiosity, I started doing the same with a few ads. In multiple cases, the same phone number was associated with completely different women on other websites. As someone who only advertises on Tryst, I found this concerning. I’m not saying every ad with multiple listings is illegitimate. However, if one phone number is tied to several different identities and photos, that’s a red flag worth paying attention to.

If you’re booking with someone new, take a minute to google the phone number - this simple research can save you time, money, and frustration.

If you notice these inconsistencies yourself on Tryst, consider reporting the ad for “impersonating someone else” or “photos/content stolen” - those seem like the most appropriate reporting categories. Don’t just submit the report — remember to include the links of the ad showing the same number tied to different women. Supporting evidence makes it much easier for Tryst to investigate.

We often read about clients sharing stories about being scam, yet I wonder how many take the extra step of reporting those ads. Complaining about scams is one thing, but reporting suspicious ads is another. If clients want to see fewer of these listings, reporting them with evidence is the best way to make that happen. Of course, reporting is only half the equation. Tryst also needs to take these reports seriously and thoroughly investigate them. If multiple users are submitting evidence that the same number is tied to different identities, those reports shouldn’t be ignored. That’s a separate issue that ultimately falls on the platform.
