My boyfriend only wants to be intimate when he's high, and it's starting to really bother me
I've noticed a pattern with my boyfriend where he only really gets interested in having sex when he's high. If I try to initiate or get close to him when he's sober, he pulls back or stops me. It's starting to feel like being high is basically a requirement for him to want that connection with me and it's making me feel a little rejected or like I'm not enough on my own.
I don't know if this is about him feeling more relaxed/uninhibited when he's high, or if there's something else going on, but I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with something similar. Has this happened to you or your partner? How did you bring it up, and did things change?
I really care about him and I'm not trying to make this into a bigger issue than it is, I just want to understand what's happening and figure out how to talk to him about it without it turning into a fight.
