I have a canned message that I either use as a text replacement shortcut or paste it when someone messages me and I'm not interested. A vast majority of the time, they're thankful for the response and they go away. Sure I could just delete or block, but it takes very little effort to let someone down and send them on their way in a respectful way. And the rare one who wants to press it gets an eyeful of why they're not a match.
