How Do We Feel about Agencies?

I want to get into professional hardcore porn shoots but I have no idea how to find them on my own without potentially getting trafficked. I just had a scare on fetlife that’s got me thinking more and more about it.
I’ve heard good and bad things about being represented by agencies. There seems to be a lot of fake companies/sites out there, so how I should go about searching for the real ones? Also if anyone has any references for agencies based in/representing performers in NYC please let me know! Or if you have alternative ideas/methods for finding work in those fields I’d also love to hear that.

Is This Offer Legit?

Context Intro

So recently I've been building a following on FetLife, mostly for fun but also to see if I could start picking up side work here and there until I can do it more full time. I know that takes a while so I've been pretty patient about it, posting consistently on Fet, broadcasting on Chaturbate once or twice a day a few times a week, etc and it's been going well. I have over 700 followers on Fet after just a couple months, and im almost at 300 followers on Chaturbate after like 7 broadcasts.

But recently someone reached out to me for a hardcore porn shoot. The pay's 1K for a solo shoot, and 1.5k for a hardcore shoot with other actors. Pretty standard for female trans performers from what I understand, but I haven't actually worked for a professional shoot yet, so I just wanna make sure I'm not gonna get trafficked trying to pursue offers like these.

The company's called Naponap - and just from a quick web search they do seem to make A LOT of trans porn. He said they're based in Ohio but are willing to travel to me for shoots here in NYC which makes sense. If it's a legit offer I'd assume they would have other models in my area they could utilize.

I did a lil video call audition - felt p standard; just me showing off my skills (jerking off, fucking myself, showing how well I deep throat etc.) but it took him a few days to get back to me w/ a drafted contract which I'll pin in the post. I found it a lil weird it took him time to send me this considering it's literally already drafted and typed out - that felt weird. I feel like he could have sent that to me right after the call.

The other issue is he wants me to fly out to Clevland for our first shoot at the end of June even though I said I'd prefer to have him travel to me. I asked if he could come to me before that date to do a shoot here, and he said it all depends on his buddy that does his bookings for him and how he'll set up his schedule for the month, and that if he gets a couple free days he would make the trip. Then I asked if the flights would be covered and he said he'd "see if he can get them covered," which I felt was weird. If you're gonna pay me that much but aren't automatically going to cover travel expenses then what's going on?

I also asked how many other ppl would be involved besides the other performers, and he said it depends on the scene, but that it would either be him filming (or his friend), a photographer, and a makeup person potentially, which sounds good to me. But then he mentioned if he could fly out the week before the shoot, that he'd like to "get to know me" and have some "quiet time together". So I made it very clear that I'm only interested in doing the shoot, and not doing some sort of sugar baby pay for play situation. And he was like "I understand, just thought maybe we could get to know each other more and maybe make ongoing porn scene together," and I was like "That's fine but it's gotta stay platonic and professional" and he was like "I'm definitely all about making money haha,"

My friend then recommended I bring up flying out there with them to see if that would be an issue, and ask if he could provide references for other performers they've worked with. He said "for security purposes I can't give out other model's information," which on the surface makes sense, but I made it clear I just want their business contact info. Like we all got work emails for our stage names and shit, so idk why that would be an issue unless it was a contractually obligated thing. Like I don't want their personal cell phone #'s lol. But he said he'd ask a few of them if they'd be willing to share their info. So now I'm just waiting to hear back from him.

What do you guys think? Is this a trafficking scam? Or just a smaller production company?

Side note - I'm aware people who make porn are also lil freaks like me cuz how else can you be apart of this business without enjoying it to a certain degree, but I just wanna be safe and not end up in a trafficking ring or something worse.
