The purpose of the meetup thread is really so the main thread isnt flooded with dozens of "who is going" posts that to the general reader are.. boring.

Anything that is regarding timing of visits, should be in the meetup thread. Even if you dont specifically say "hey I want to meet someone"... if the discussions is around the timing of visits, it goes into that weekly thread

These are recent examples of main thread posts, that we consider meetup posts:

• Anyone going friday aug 21?
• Tomorrow 8/21 Who’s going?
• Beach day ? Anyone heading there today ? What's the weather for the area my app says rain at 1 till maybe 230 and after

Without these simple rules the subreddit would filled every day with 15 posts of "got in my car, who will be there in 2 hours?" and another 10 posts of penis closeups.

Actually, I'll change it so future Weekly thread posts say "Weekly Visit/Meetup Thread". It should clarify for the armchair attorneys who message us "I never used the word meetup"

Looing at today's grey skies I looked ahead at the weather and wow; Thurs and Friday (July 2/3) the temps are pushing upper 90s... 98 on Friday. At Gunnison Beach! (well temps from immediately below in Sea Bright)

After today things really start improving. Sunday is a comfortable 76 and partly sunny and then temps REALLY ramp up

This is for Sea Bright just below GB

• Sun: 84

We appreciate folks keeping things lively here during the cold winter months by posting archive photos, but its almost June and temps hitting 90 this week... so there is no need for old archive photo posts.

Lets get out there and enjoy the beach!

I'll say it.. if an adult creator posts here and follows all of the rules of the sub, all good. but when its summertime and old photos are being posted weekly or sooner... it seems the point shifts less about celebrating the beach
