I understand the beach is packed and it's 4th of July. I got there before another couple and set my towel down. After a while I went for a swim. When I came back, the guy had his head between his girlfriend's legs. I didn't care they were doing their own thing, so I just ignored them.

I grabbed my phone out of my bag because I had a few missed messages. I stood up next to my towel to get a better signal and replied to them. I had my hand covering the camera area the entire time because I know people are understandably sensitive about phones at nude beaches.

Out of nowhere, the guy tells me to "fuck off" and says I'm in "his area." I tried to explain that my towel was literally right there and I'd been there before them, but he kept cutting me off. Telling me he doesnt want to hear it just move. Then he switched to saying I wasn't allowed to use my phone because it's against the rules at nude beaches. Every time I tried to explain that I was just replying to messages with the camera covered, he talked over me and told me to leave. Literally no understanding or polite way of saying. I don't need to be treated like im not a human ill move idc, at least let me talk.

The whole interaction lasted less than a minute, and I just walked away because it wasn't worth arguing. Got my stuff and just left the beach. It was already late but I left just pissed. Dude ruined a great day.

Was I missing some unwritten etiquette here, or was this guy just being territorial? I get why people are cautious about phones at nude beaches, but it felt like he had already decided I was doing something wrong and wasn't interested in listening.

Do we expect it to be super packed that day? If so, what time do you recommend people get there?

Was leaving Gunnison around 9:15pm on the 4th and saw a few ambulances and cop cars headed in. Anyone know what went down? Hope everyone’s ok.

I was at the beach on Thursday, and there were two women there together in bathing suits throughout the day. They had set up next to me and just not sure why you’d go to a nude beach and stay clothed the whole time. Any insights?

Wasn’t close enough to see

I'm thinking of heading over around 5pm. Are there any flies today? I saw the forecast called for a light west wind earlier today. Hopefully the sand has cooled off a bit! ♨️🔥🥵

Do they open the gates after so many people leave and let some people in or once closed do they just wait till a certain time like afternoon? This weekend in particular...it's supposedly free and the boat parade or something?? So many things to do.
