Went to er and got stitches

Yeah so i had to go to the er earlyyy this morning (midnight to 4am) bc i cut my arm pretty badly. The whole thing sucked even worse than my last er experience. I first had woken my dad bc i figured hed be less freaked out than my mom. Wrong. He fainted twice and hit the ground hard when he fell which scared me pretty bad and my older brother drove me and my mom to the hospital. They kind of ignored me when i was at the er as i had a towel wrapped around my arm. TW DEPTH the cuts were deep beans possibly into fascia and i was bleeding a lot. They just left me in the hospital room for two hours while i bled before coming in and giving me ab 50 numbing shots (doctor originally tried to just give numbing cream but i could still feel pain a lot) so i insisted on shots even tho those hurt bad. Ended up with 25 stitches and some glue, the RNs bandaged my arm and i got discharged and went home. Anyways idk i just needed to get it out.

Almost summer

The top part of my arm all my scars were super faded and it would finally not been that bad to wear short sleeves. Sadly i relapsed a lot and have very red scars on the underside of my arm :/ had to scribble over some parts because i wasnt sure if the flakiness would look like scabs

Scars and work

For context i am 17f and work as a cashier at a thrift store. I would never show any sort of fresh cuts or scabs at work but im wondering if scars are ok to show or if it is ok but doesnt go well? I used to work at a daycare and never wouldve worn tshirts bc of the kids and especially kids parents. Im betting id have a ton of customers stare or ask "do you have a cat" and all that. I dont think id even want to wear short sleeves at work this summer because i have a lot of recent healed scars and i just wouldnt feel comfy with that. But if next summer if my scars are all faded and light pink or white would it be acceptable (in the u.s. culture) to show those? Would it technically be ok but should be avoided?

Additional question: my plan is to become an elementary teacher. My scars will be permanent but if theyre all white would it ever be considered ok for me to wear short sleeves in that occupation? Especially if i work at a Christian school? I know thats like 5 years off but just thinking ahead on that one
