I'm in a totally loveless marriage. We DO NOT love each other. We have committed our whole relationship for the last 10 + years out of the 21 years together to ensure our children have everything they need and are set on a good path for success. That has been our marriage. Now I am disabled. Young onset Parkinson's disease. She hated that. She hated that I would gain sympathy from our family because I have Parkinson's. So she went out and got diagnosed on the autism spectrum to be able to compete with me. I am awaiting disability so that I can have some income since I had to quit working due to early dementia issues with Parkinson's. So I am stuck with this situation. Most of my children are in college or just getting into college save one who is still in grade school. My heart breaks to think that the little one will a have to deal with this but I refuse to live the last of my days with a person who will only look at my disability as something to compete against. I want my last days to be with someone to love and who loves back. Not hate and resentment. I don't see much of a way out other than the obvious. I am a nihilistic person. No religion no belief other than your conscience is part of the universe. So why do I continue with this?
