I wish things were easier.

I (25M) wish it was easier to find somebody, just in general. Just finding someone that’s just naturally nurturing is such a difficult task. A lot of times I feel like I’m yearning for something that just doesn’t exist. Like it’s just pointless. Especially when it comes to the lifestyle part of it, because I’ve met people out there that firmly believe that the dynamic should only exist in the bedroom. I honestly don’t know if the sexual part of it is what I want right now; right now I feel like I just want the support and love from a mommy type. I know I have trust issues, trauma, and BS relationship advice to work through, but regardless I still want the love and support from a mommy.

I honestly have no idea what to do anymore.

About a year ago I came to the conclusion that a mommydom is the kind of partner I want. At the same time, in learning that, I felt more alone than ever, and over this past year nothing’s changed. I did make a couple of posts in the subreddits dedicated to subs, but it was only recently that I discovered this subreddit. I’m in a deeply conservative state and so I feel that I’m at a severe disadvantage when it comes to finding someone like that, as the vast majority of people believe in ‘traditional family values’ and so most women are looking for the kind of guy that’s dominant and is the ‘man of the house’ so to speak. Combine that with the fact that I’m neurodivergent and fairly awkward, finding someone where I’m at, whether that’s in person or on a dating app, it really feels like a lost cause. And I’ve tried to branch out, but nothing ever seems to work. I feel so lost and alone.
