I'm starting to heal enough to where I feel confident in sharing my body for the first time ever. Of course, I wanna shave and stuff but yknow haha. There's still some slight pain and I have a minor hematoma as a result of a varicocele. For the first time in a long time I'm feeling super happy with my body and I'm so ready to share :3

I'm now around 12ish hours after my operation and I have some recollections to share. First off, I got so nervous before going in that I almost barfed lmao. Second off, my care team at USZ in Zürich were insanely good. I am from the United States but moved here around 3ish years ago. The anesthesiology team in particular were really good.

I went under anesthesia probably around 12:45-1:30 pm. I was back up and out of the surgery by 3:00 pm. I was then discharged from the hospital but 4:00 pm. My plan to get home was through public transportation with my husband. The pain of walking right after was surreal. It felt like every single nanosecond I was getting kicked in the (no) balls. Once I made it home after around an hour and thirty minute trip, I fell asleep for around 7-8 hours and now I'm here takkin to yall :3

Anyways, that was my experience of today. I feel like it is important to give people an idea of what these things look like. If anyone has any questions or anything feel free to ask!

My surgery is coming on the 18th and I have been doing really good to not get anxious. Past few days though it has really started to get me feeling anxious. Any tips to stay calm in the days leading up to my surgery?
