I’m not gonna pretend I understand the chemistry of this properly but anyways , as far as I understand it, due to the fact that 7-oh and codeine are both metabolised by the CYP2D6 enzyme so combining them may reduce the potency of desired effects of each other or 7-oh may “hog” the receptors so codeine is wasted .
I was wondering if it is just as pointless to take codeine with mgm-15 (dihydro-7-oh) .Due to its chemical relation and similarity I was wondering if anybody knows wether mgm-15 is metabolised by the the CYP2D6 and if the ‘interaction’ between codeine and mgm-15 is similar to the interaction between 7-oh and codeine or is mgm-15 + codeine worth giving a go.
