Why is sugaring in India so ridiculously toxic?
Somebody needs to say this.
I've been trying to navigate the sugar scene in India and honestly it's becoming more frustrating than fun.
Every other day people complain about fake SBs, scammers, content sellers, rinsers, etc. Fair enough, they exist. But why does every single person get treated like a criminal because of them?
The amount of "verification" some people demand is insane.
First it's:
- send a voice note
- send a live picture
- send another live picture doing some random pose
- send a video
- do a voice call
- do a video call
And after all that? They disappear. Ghosted.
Like... what was the point?
If you're not interested, that's completely fine. But why spend hours collecting verification after verification only to vanish without a word?
It genuinely feels like people are more interested in the chase, attention, and validation than actually forming an arrangement.
I understand SDs are wbecause they've been scammed before. I understand SBs are cautious because they've been lied to before. But the level of distrust has become so extreme that nobody seems willing to treat the other person like an actual human being anymore.
At this point the biggest scam isn't even money. It's wasting each other's time.
Anyone else experiencing this or am I just losing my mind?
I genuinely want to know what the solution is here.
SDs don't want to get scammed.
SBs don't want to get used for attention, content, or endless verification.
So how do normal, genuine people actually build trust without spending days proving they're real only to get ghosted anyway?
What do you guys think is a reasonable verification process before meeting or discussing an arrangement?
Because whatever is happening right now clearly isn't working.
