Imagine two different girls, living in two different parts of a big city (not NYC, Miami or LA... but big enough to have NFL team).

The "internet" apparently broke into two camps, as described in the vice.com link... but there should have been a third camp, and there wasn't. There should be more than TWO options for girls in their twenties:

Option #1 for Twenty-Something Girl (the OP) = Become a dentist and still not reach goals by 30... yah she's probably right about that because she wants luxury, travel, leisure.

Option #2 for same girl = Marry a rich guy that will have power over her to dump her at any time.

Without having seen the original post, I'm surprised that she didn't even consider the possibility of simplifying her expectations. Consider a less luxurious location. Consider marrying a guy that loves you, rather than uses you. There are ways to be happy that don't include knowing the clerk at Cartier on a first name basis.

Or... was she intentionally tweaking the "internet" by only definiing ONE way to be happy. Two paths to ONE possible way to be fulfilled.

I'm lucky to be in the Midwest where people can actually survive on reasonable wages, and/or can have exceptional luxuries while not having to deal with the absurd costs associated with LA, London, NYC, Miami, SF, Singapore, Paris, etc...

And I'm lucky to have found women that enjoy visiting places like Cabo, Honolulu, St.Croix, Aspen... but would never want to deal with the crap that we've seen in London, NYC, LA, SF, Miami...

Wow! A Sugar Mentor that is turning the spotlight on the women!!

My first reaction is to roll my eyes and say, "Women won't be able to answer these questions." But then I realized that this is a guide that men can use to streamline the vetting/matching process.

Sugar sites cannot host important "details" that we want to know about the potential arrangement, but a SB COULD be more prepared for the matching process if they were encouraged to have actually thought about "what they want" from a relationship.

u/EmergencyPoem7505 is giving SB's a clear set of choices to make...

I honestly think most women will try to avoid answering most of the questions, and will try to "wait and see" what the SD will offer...

On March 6th of 2020 Megan Thee Stallion released Suga. That was the height of the "fleece him" movement, and that was over SIX years ago.

City Girls, Saweetie, Cardi B, Mariahlynn were glamourizing being a "sugarbaby" as an empowering movement where pussy is power (no denying that) and luxury lifestyle was to be expected.

From 2016-2020 the music scene was being dominated by that attitude. I believe Seeking was benefitting from the hype.

The reality of THAT was not sustainable. The math does not math. Younger girls loved that music when they were in high school,

.... Then Covid hit.... literally TWO WEEKS after MTS released the track "Sugar" the world was shut down. Reality set in.

My 24yo GF and I were talking about the backlash that has been occurring. She still likes the music, but the lyrics are unrealistic... and the concept of "Sugar" is now 100% understood to be sex work. The veil of romanticizing transactional arrangements has been lifted. That is not my opinion, that is what the younger generation is saying.

Younger women are now looking for low-stress, genuine care, and "soft life".

The younger women also recognize that successful men don't yet realize "sugar" is cringey, and that we continue to use sugar dating sites, so they happily create accounts... right alongside the escorts and the "over-thirty" girls that are still looking for dead-whales (another topic for another day).

TL:DR = If she's under 30, don't be surprised if she doesn't want to be called a SB.
