Sort of sad post/serious kitten question that is sort of off topic

something that's been bothering me lately and something I've been trying to figure out recently is why is it that if a bigger much more popular content creator gets randomly shadow banned and then all of suddenly they make a come back on a brand new account they're subject to praise and receive lots of love and millions of upvotes and everyone seems to just let the rule breaking thing slide or whatever because of their popularity yet if a smaller creator does it all of a sudden they're shunned and bullied or blamed for supposedly doing something wrong

it's sort of a problem especially when no one seems to believe me when I say that i see posts in my feed come up from r/help almost ever single day of someone being devastated that their account in good standing was randomly nuked out existence for no viable reason yet so many of you are so incredibly insistent that if someone has been banned before either on the site or a specific subreddit that they must be some sort of abuser or a jerk or that at the very least they must have done something wrong

why is it so hard to understand for some of you that this website not only isn't fair but there's plenty of mods that will just ban you for no reason because it gives them a power rush....

i'm not looking for sympathy or ass pats or to even start argument here it's just sort of frustrating especially because I'm dealing with some random stalker who is choosing to lurk my page and downvote me every single time I make a post which again it's not really like I'm always posting with the expectation that it'll receive lots of likes i really just wish they had the courage to stay something to me directly vs being a creepy creeper that lurks on my page simply to downvote
