I finallyyy ordered some new clothes with a gift card I got for my birthday. I’ve been needing stuff for a while, but am terrible at shopping when it’s for myself. I’ve talked to a few people around here about this too. Does anyone else struggle with that?

Anyways I picked out some basic things like some joggers, a few pairs of shoes, and a couple sweaters; since it’ll start getting colder soon. I was all ready to check out when a few items caught my eye while I was scrolling. Stuff I would normally never wear and normally find gaudy, looked kinda cute in theory, if I could pull it off.

Since it wasn’t my money anyways I decided to click on a few of them just to see, and I did ultimately add a short pink skirt and some lacy thigh high stockings to my cart before I checked out. I probably won’t ever wear them, and I’m not entirely sure why I bought them. I’m usually a very practical person, and this feels like a bit of a waste. But they’ll be here tomorrow to slowly pick up dust and cat hair in my closet!

heyyyy um. so i think i was just like a lil grumpy this morning when i made my post. and i was super silly and unfair too. erotic hypnosis is actually really awesome and you should like try it before you say some mean things like i did. its easy to go blank, easy to relax, easy to feel good, and the best part — i can totally show you how :3 dm

I’ve been getting into hypnosis over the last few months for stress relief, and for some erotic stuff too. While it’s mostly been a nice experience, I run into the same issue every time I go searching for new things to listen to. That of course being the sheer amount of bimbofication slop. I think it’s unfortunate that someone unluckier than me might get curious about hypnosis someday and have one of those files be their first experience. They’re really poorly scripted — it’s hard not to cringe at a lot of the derogatory language. And yes I’ve listened to a file here and there, so I’m not just talking out of my ass.

It’s a sad reflection of where we are, and further evidence that we feminists need to keep fighting. Pushing women towards being dumb and slutty en masse is not helpful right now. Of course on an individual level there’s nothing wrong with the idea. It’s an understandable fantasy, and there’s definitely ways to bimbofy yourself while remaining a feminist icon. However most of these creators are not interested in preserving the listeners’ feminist beliefs.

Posting this here because I know a lot of you misogynists are spreading this stuff, tricking girls into thinking they want it, giving it more engagement, all leading to more of it getting made. Apologies for the yapfest, but I wanted to fully explain my position and anticipate a counterargument or two.
