LSD is festival perfection

Forget mdma for festival days, lsd is the goat.

MDMA is great but it’s just too short. You get about 2hrs at cruising altitude before needing to redose and push yourself into a deep hole of neurotoxicity.

MDA and 6-apb are similar/better than mdma for festival days as both last longer (4-5 and 8-10hrs respectively), but you can still only do them on one of the days and ideally need months’ gap inbetween.

For multi-day festivals or a busy summer, lsd looks a lot like the answer.

Our crew all went hard in the 90s but were wary of lsd (for no good reason as it turns out). We’d heard horror stories of intense trips that wouldn’t end etc. and avoided it.

Then on a whim I bought some 110ug tabs a few months ago. I was waiting for the right occasion and along came a 17hr DnB day festival…

OMG I’m in love! 10hrs of solid energy, we did over 100k steps and felt amazing at the end.

At those moderate doses it needed the good sets to set it off, but when they did, the depth of appreciation for the music was unreal! You could feel every beat and every sample layer in incredible detail. The physical and mental euphoria while dancing was also off the charts! Even after years of raving, it was one of the best days ever.

Many people’s perception of psychs is so wrong. They are way way way gentler than mdma (there is an argument that the bdnf surge afterwards is actually good for you) and they are much more interesting and multi-faceted than m alone.

Be careful with the dosage. 70-120ug feels like a sweet spot, I wouldn’t go higher first time.

For shorter gigs, 2c-b is also great but doesn’t quite have the magic of lsd. Mescaline is another great one but lsd seems to plug you into the music in a uniquely wonderful way. You can also ‘flip’ all of them in combination with a single dose of m.

Don’t bother with mdma re-dosing, come to the light side! Once you fall in love with psychs, there really is no way back. Absolute perfection.

6-apb is incredible

I’ve loved mdma for decades and tried 6-apb for the first time yesterday. It is unbelievably good. So good, I’m wondering whether it might even be better than mdma 🫢

The simplest description would be a mellow version of mdma which lasts much longer and has a touch of visual flair.

Peeps on here are always asking how to extend a mdma roll. 6-apb is the answer. We were at a day festival, I took 150mg succinate at 2pm and was still nicely lit at 2am, 12hrs later!

The high is slower to come on than mdma (2+hrs), is less rushy but is still powerful and deeply happy. My friends were all nexus flipping (mdma+2cb) and while you could see them being pulled around on the mdma rollercoaster, 6-apb was a more gradual and elegant come up.

As it peaked, there was a deep sense of happiness and contentment with a sustained level of energy so you could keep bopping for hours happily.

It’s more clear-headed than mdma, but this makes engaging with peeps around you easier and you end up making loads of rave buddies.

We’ve been raving since the 90s so it might be an older thing, but if you like the idea of a more elegant and longer lasting roll, 6-app is one to try.

(Pls no dms about sourcing, the answer is always r/onions)

They seem like very different styles of psychedelic to me.

My feeling is that tryptamines (mushies, 4-ho-met etc.) light up higher energy centres / chakras, predominantly from the solar plexus up to the crown and focussed around the 3rd eye. They are much ‘headier’ as a result.

Phenythylamines (mescaline, 2c-b etc.) seem to hit much lower, predominantly between the throat and root chakras, focussed on the heart and solar plexus. They are much more of a body high vs. tryptamines.

This is based on nothing but personal experience, but my feeling is that they are energetically very different families of compounds, and their respective strengths can suit different occasions.
