I currently fit into a 2" nub cage working my way to a flat. Is it normal to feel envious of the unlocked?

My 2 friends, both male and female, are my keyholders/doms and they'd both use size comparison to put me in my place. M mostly teases and commands while F has been more hands on in the denial

Over time, when they'd make me stroke(a dildo in the case of F) or worship them, ive noticed that I feel a little envious of how free and in control they are. To this day I still instinctively reach down to stroke too only for the cage to get in the way, and the realisation that i cant just reach down and stroke whenever makes me fall into submission that much more.

Does anyone experienced the same 'envy' or is it me being reminded of my place?
