Read The Rules To Post

It is SUPER easy everyone. Like every subreddit you have to agree to the rules to play. So before you can post you must agree to the rules...ONE time...It takes less than 1 minute.

If this angers you, I'm sorry but I recommend taking a deep breath and realize it is only a few swipes and you can post and comment to your hearts content.

So instead of sending me passive aggressive messages saying you refuse to agree to the rules (like really?!) either just agree to the basic rules of conduct; or don't.

Welcome Guide To KC Book Club!

A Guide to KC Book Club

To preface, We are in no way affiliated with the ownership of KC Book Club—we are merely friends. We inherited this subreddit from the previous owner and maintain it out of respect to the club and the community.

The Vibe & Themes

KC Book Club is a lifestyle location that hosts laid-back, themed events every Saturday night. The themes range from "Naughty Librarian" to "Swimsuit Night," as well as seasonal and holiday parties like Halloween or New Year's Eve.

Who Attends?

The club is strictly 21+, and attendance is limited to couples and single women. Single/Solo men are not permitted. This rule is commonly appreciated by the regulars, as it keeps the gender ratio balanced and maintains a comfortable dynamic.

As for demographics, you will see a wide variety of people:

  • Ages: While you might see guests ranging from their mid-20s to their mid-70s, the highest concentration of attendees is in their 30s, 40s, and 50s.
  • Inclusivity: There is absolutely no body shaming here. You will see every shape and size, and everyone is welcome. If you aren't comfortable being around a diverse spectrum of body types, this might not be the place for you.
  • Backgrounds: It's a mixed crowd. You’ll meet people who are highly successful financially, alongside those who saved up specifically for their night out.

Cost & Amenities

  • Standard Entry: $80 per couple | $40 for a single female.
  • Special Events: (Halloween, NYE, etc.) $100 per couple | $50 per single female.
  • Refreshments: BYOB. The host provides snacks, soft drinks, and ice, and there are two refrigerators available to store your drinks.

The Layout

The venue is a private residence, divided into two distinct atmospheres:

  • The Main Floor (Socializing): This is a large, open floor plan designed for breaking the ice. It features a dance floor, stripper pole, pool table, and adult party games (like Jenga and dice). Smoking is permitted on the outdoor back patio (but not inside). While mostly for socializing, you will see casual nudity here—some guests wear revealing outfits, while others strip completely bare to chat. Overt sexual activity on this floor is rare, but it does occasionally happen.
  • Downstairs (The Play Area): This is where the action happens. The open area includes a double queen bed, a standalone queen bed, a twin bed, a swing, and a St. Andrew's Cross with floggers. There are also two private rooms with doors that can be closed if you prefer intimacy away from the crowd.

Rules, Etiquette, & Consent

Consent is the ultimate, non-negotiable rule. Do not assume that just because someone is being polite or conversational, they are open to being touched. If you want to do more than offer a high-five or a handshake, you must ask for permission first.

There is absolutely no pressure to participate. Some people attend purely to watch, while others want to play with as many people as possible. If you ever feel pressured or uncomfortable, it is highly stressed that you notify the owner or the person who gave you your first-time tour, and they will handle it immediately.

How to Get on the List

You can reach out in a few different ways:

  • Social Media: The owner goes by the handle kcbookclub on platforms like Instagram, Telegram, Snapchat, and Twitter.
  • Lifestyle Websites: You can sign up through SDC, Kassadie, or FetLife.
  • Reddit/Forums: If all else fails, message the local mod team, and they will help point you in the right direction.

Reminder To All Members

I want to take a moment to remind our members and patrons of the most basic rule in life. The Golden Rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Or my personal take on it for LS life, Treat Others How You Want Your Spouse Treated.

That means don't comment unless it is constructive. Don't Be A Dick. We won't tolerate anyone talking down or being disrespectful to others. PERIOD.

Regarding The Influx Of R4R Posts

We do NOT allow R4R posts that are not focused towards meeting up BEFORE an event night. If you post them we will remove them. There are tons of other subreddits for that. This is not one of them.
