Let's settle the debate: Upper decky or lower decky?

Where do you put your pouch?

It seems most people use their upper lip but haven't seen many go for the lower. Is there a reason behind the choice or just out what you're used to?

Also, does anyone really call it "upper decky"? What do you call it? Curious what consumers actually say.

Curious about where the term even came from? Here is our article about it for anyone’s interested: What is an Upper Decky Lip Pillow

How to spot a fake Zyn!

Depending on where you live, the nicotine pouch market may be heavily regulated, taxed, and not always easily accessible. This inevitably means that an illicit marketplace can remain active. Some products sold across the country are illegal. Some are genuine products imported from abroad that are not authorized for sale in the U.S. by the FDA, while others are counterfeit products manufactured through unauthorized production channels.

Fake products are often made outside authorized manufacturing and quality-controls, which means their contents and quality standards may not be the same.

Want to make sure you aren't buying these fakes? See our latest guide on how to spot a fake ZYN.

Happy 4th of July from Nicokick!

America has been debating freedom since 1776. Somehow, we are still not done.

Maybe that is the point.

Today, one version of that argument is playing out around adult access to nicotine alternatives: flavor bans, online restrictions, and taxes stacked on taxes. And we've been listening to you, we know these bans and taxes hitting your wallet have been tough, and we know many of you want to do something about it.

We know people will disagree. That is part of living in a free country. But adult consumers should not be left out while decisions are made about them.

We're not sitting this fight out. Expect more consumer activations and more ways to make your voice heard where it actually matters.

And to our military and first responders — thank you for the work you do every day. We've got a special GovX discount waiting for you.

Happy 4th. The debate continues.

PSA for those currently enlisted: Traveling to France?

The U.S. army has issued a formal travel advisory informing soldiers not to travel with nicotine pouches to France as they're now illegal in the country. France's ban took effect on April 1 and covers possession and use. They are also not available for sale in the country.  The ban does not impact cigarettes or other tobacco products such as chewing tobacco.

Soldiers can now face significant fines and even prison time for carrying or using pouches while staying or traveling through France, even for training.

Civilian travelers, be mindful this applies to all who visit France, not just enlisted military personnel!

ZYN Ultra on Nicokick

If ZYN is already part of your nicotine pouch rotation, there’s a new option on the way.

ZYN Ultra is available on Nicokick for verified adult nicotine consumers. While it still has the familiar all-white pouch format, there are a few differences that set it apart from the original ZYN lineup.

Here's what to expect:

  • 20 pouches per can instead of 15
  • A moist pouch format rather than a semi-dry pouch
  • 9mg strength at launch, with 11mg expected later in June
  • A built-in waste compartment
  • Eight launch flavors

Available flavors:

  • Wintergreen Blast
  • Arctic Mint
  • Peppermint Frost
  • Fresh Spearmint
  • Citrus Zest
  • Menthol Ice
  • Signature Smooth
  • Chill Mist

Whether you're already a ZYN user or just curious about the new format, ZYN Ultra adds another option to the lineup with more pouches per can and a different pouch feel.

Available now on Nicokick.com

Nicokick is back in Washington State

The rumors are true, Nicokick and Northerner are finally back in Washington!

On January 1st, a new state law made it illegal to sell pouches online, so we were forced to go dark.

We didn't sit on it. Our team went straight to work with state lawmakers to get this fixed, and a few of them went out of their way to understand why online access matters and pushed hard to change the law. It worked, we're back as of June 15th.

If you want to take 2 minutes to thank the lawmakers who made this happen, click here. It genuinely helps show them this was worth fighting for.

What's your pick: moist or dry pouches?

Not all nicotine pouches feel the same, and moisture is one of the biggest reasons why.

Some pouches feel drier and release flavor more gradually, while others feel softer and more moist right from the start.

In general:

  • More moisture can lead to a quicker release of flavor and nicotine
  • Less moisture can create a more gradual experience
  • Texture and mouthfeel can vary significantly between products

There isn't a "best" moisture level. Some people prefer a drier pouch, while others enjoy a softer, more moist format. It all comes down to personal preference.

We've put together a comparison of moisture levels across popular brands so you can see how they stack up. If you want to learn more about the difference between moist and dry pouches, visit our blog: https://nicokick.com/us/pouch-perfect/science/moist-and-dry-pouches-whats-the-difference
