Hemorrhoids?
28 year old male
Ongoing problem for the last year or so. Constant pain during and after bowel movements. Constant cycles of pain during the week with minor relief for one or two days every now and then. Very occasional bright red blood on toilet paper. Feeling of poop forcing it’s way out. Feelings of constant swelling. Also some sticky feeling when wiping. Have been to the GP twice and have done two 4 week courses of rectogesic and an 8 week course of diltiazem.
I eat lots of fibre and 2-3 litres of water a day but there seems to be nothing that can consistently change this. Am constantly thinking about what i’m eating and the effect it might have on a bowel movement. Feel i can no longer drink coffee due to the onset effect it has on me.
I have an appointment with a colorectal specialist next week but would love some second opinions as to what could be the main source of pain here. My GP did everything he could and suspects a chronic anal fissure but was not sure.
Someone give me some form of hope here please 😅
