My review of my visit.

This was my first visit to Sun Aura, and I had a fantastic time. The people were incredibly friendly, and what stood out the most was how welcoming and nonjudgmental everyone was. It created a very relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to feel comfortable. The grounds were spotless and clearly well maintained.

There are just a few areas that could be improved. Since it was a holiday weekend, I was surprised there weren’t more food vendors available. Having additional dining options would have made the weekend even better. I also found that some of the longtime members seemed a bit cliquey, which made it a little harder for a first-time visitor to jump into conversations and meet new people.

Checking into the RV sites could also be improved. The site map didn’t clearly show where I was supposed to park, and the utility hookups ended up being on the opposite side of my RV, which made setup a little more challenging than expected.
The party was a lot of fun, although the DJ could definitely freshen up the playlist with a better mix of newer music. That said, the after-party at the Wild Place was an absolute blast and ended up being one of the highlights of the weekend. The Fourth of July fireworks show was also excellent and exceeded my expectations.

I decided not to rent a golf cart after learning they cost $80 per day, which felt a bit overpriced. Instead, I walked from camp to the dunes in about 15 minutes, and honestly, the walk wasn’t bad at all. During my visit there wasn’t much happening at the dunes that I couldn’t also enjoy back at camp, so I didn’t feel like I missed out.

Overall, I had an excellent first experience. The welcoming, judgment-free atmosphere and beautiful, clean grounds far outweighed the few areas that could be improved. I’m already planning another visit in August, which probably says everything about how much I enjoyed my stay. I definitely recommend giving Sun Aura a try if you’re looking for a friendly and relaxing clothing-optional resort.
