Consanguineous relationships and supportive families ?

Is there anyone here who is in such a relationship, and other members of your family are supportive of you ? Or atleast, still continue keeping ties with you and your partner ?

I've(24m) been with my Mom(53f) for a few months now, as I've mentioned in an earlier post. And while we will have to keep it a secret from everyone else, we do want to break the news to my older sister. As far as tight knit family goes, she's the only one we have, and can trust with this. Honestly we don't know what her reaction will be, but for sure she won't out us or anything, although she might react negatively.

so anyways, back to the original question, how have your family members reacted to this when you told them ? And what made you decide on telling or not telling them ?

My mom and I got together recently, and I wish I could tell everybody!

My mother(53F) and I(24M) have been together for about 5 months now, obviously keeping it a secret from everyone else, including the my older sister. My mother has been divorced for more than a decade, and while she did date a couple of men after that, nothing got too serious.

After I moved to a different city for a Job, she was living alone for a while, and would visit me or my sister and her family once every few months. Or we would usually go home for the big holidays once or twice a year. And it was on one of her trips to my place, that things first started getting intimate.

After a lot of back and forth, we finally decided to actually commit to this new dynamic few months ago. And have been together since. She still lives at her place, which is like a 6 hour drive from me, but either she visits me every weekend, staying over the full next week sometimes, or I visit her. And lately we've been discussing having her move in with me permanently. I will have to probably find a new place though, as my current is rather small, and people next door know her to be my mother.

We're both very excited about this, and we're actually thinking how we'll explain the move to my sister. And also, at some point, we'd like to tell her about our relationship, as the 3 of us have always been very close. But thats in the future someday.

Just wanted to share the good vibes and news with other people here. Ciao!
