I'm 29 and have been considering getting circumcised for quite a while. I personally like the feeling and appearance of having the glans exposed, and I usually keep my foreskin pulled back anyway.
I have a few concerns I'd like to ask people who have had adult circumcision:
Pain and recovery: How painful was adult circumcision for you? How many days did it take before you could walk normally and comfortably?

Sensation: Did you notice a significant change in sexual sensation after you were fully healed? I'm particularly worried about losing too much sensitivity.

Urination: Sometimes when I pee, a small amount of urine gets trapped under my foreskin. I already urinate with my foreskin pulled back, and afterward I gently squeeze out the last few drops. If I get circumcised, how do you deal with the last few drops of urine? Do you still need to squeeze the penis, or is simply waiting, shaking, or dabbing enough?

Hygiene and smell: I've heard that circumcised men don't have as much smell around the penis because there is no foreskin where moisture and secretions can collect. Is that actually true? Did you personally notice a difference in smell or ease of keeping clean after circumcision?

Living with parents: I live with my parents even though I'm 29, so they would probably notice that I'm walking differently during the first few days. I'm embarrassed about explaining that I've had circumcision when they ask why I did it if there wasn't a medical problem. How did others handle explaining an elective circumcision to family?

I'm not asking whether circumcision is medically necessary for everyone. I'm mainly interested in experiences from adults who chose circumcision themselves, especially regarding recovery, sensation, urination, and hygiene.
