This review covers material through part two of the game.

Realm invader is a thoughtfully made game that has a lot to offer. It doesn't take itself too seriously and frequently breaks the fourth wall for comedic effect. I got just shy of 8 hours of gameplay in a single run. The graphics were a big turn off for me and will be for many others; not in that they are poorly done, just not to my taste. I believe the game is made in Honey Select, which is known to have a polarizing look. In addition the game is set in Japan and the characters are distinctly asian in appearance. For some this will be a big positive. It's not my cup of tea. If I could have this same writing and soundtrack with a completely overhauled visual experience it would be a contender for my favorites list.

Spice quantity: 4/10. There are a lot of scenes with eye candy, but you don't get into any proper spice for a while and the total amount is lacking. I anticipate this will improve in later acts as there was some setting up of the relationships early game.

Spice quality (animations, length, etc): 5/10. This is a very personal score largely based on my feeling about the graphics and character design and should be taken with a grain of salt. I don't care for the HS style and that affects my enjoyment of scenes. Boosting their score is extremely smooth animations, complimentary sound tracks, and worthwhile writing.

Spice variety: N/A. In the game's current state there are not a lot of spicy scenes, so I wouldn't feel fair in trying to judge their variety. What I can say is that the writing is on the wall for some varied fetish play in the future.

User experience (graphics, audio, UI, etc): 9/10. While the graphics are not to my taste, they are thoughtfully designed and well done. Audio is excellent. It is present in every scene I can recall and feels carefully selected.

For the most part the UI is the standard system. Scene replay is locked inside the game/save instead of accessible from the main menu, which I always dislike. I wish the lore section included character profiles and the character information we have gleaned.

Although the game is set in Japan it is either written in native English or extremely well translated. The text all felt very natural and was free of any significant typos or other errors.

Story quantity: 8/10. As the story is still very early on this score is likely to change significantly. Of what exists, there is a decent enough plot unfolding and pacing isn't unpleasant. The game does focus more on character depth and relationships more than the overall story.

Story quality: 7/10. The story isn't bad, but it's not the reason I enjoyed the game. To me this story is a foundation for killer humor and dynamic characters. If you're looking for a plot that will leave you wondering or stick in your memory long after you've finished the game, this probably isn't that.
