Selfmade "box"

Because my 2b didn't work very good anymore (bad knobs) I bought a year back a Axis Flux, but for one or other reason, the Axis doesn't play all music files. Some, most of them no problems, but some files, there isn't any information to play, just all the time no music, or very, very little very far away.

He also sometimes like to play some parts of the file, so he skips some parts to play. (parts of some minutes without any music)

Some traffic jams, most of them, no problem at all. Do you recognize that?

I have the idea that the regular stim boxes have a mind of their own and in a way manipulate the music. For that reason I tried a regular Hifi music amplifier. I tried some 10w and 20w amplifiers, but they where to weak.

Now I found a fairly strong amplifier (80W or something like that) And just to be sure, for safety, I did put a small transformer (a OEP1200) on both speaker outputs for each channel. I play my phone with my stim- music at the amplifier, plugged in, into the microphone Input at the front of the amplifier. I am actually very satisfied with that. And the amplifier plays everything, makes no distinction not to want to play one or the other.

I've been doing it this way for a long time and I'm very satisfied with it. Actually an HFO every time, rarely not once due to lack of time, but then I can't resist going for it the next day. I have the idea that this is also much more enjoyable. The amplifier also has a built-in equaliser, lots of possibilities to expiriment, especially the ability to accentuate basses more.

Anybody also playing with a regular amplifier? Any tips?

Softening the sharpness

I recently started simming with a regular amplifier. The electrodes on the speakers output and my mobile phone , with music files, at the microphone input.

I have done it a few times, and it works quite well. Much more effective than at the box where I am used to.

I am wondering are there more guys stimming that way?

And are there any tips to have more fun.

Are there tips to 'soften' the sharpness from some music files? - maybe with the help of a condensor and a adjustable resistance over the channels? (just my thoughts)

Very curious about the reactions!
