Dealing with men on sugar sites that message often or send texts a lot
I feel a little drained from the day I had yesterday.
I’m new to SDM and had multiple guys sending me extended messages through out the day. It wasn’t naughty messages, but just about random topics.
They were also showering me with compliments and talking about all the places they wanted to go in the future but didnt schedule a date. It was a vague answer like “we’ll discuss it and figure out travel plans later” .
One guy has yet to give me even a first name, which I thought was weird because he wanted to continue the flow of a conversation on the site.
What could be the reason that he didn’t give out anything, even a nickname or initial? He’s going by a name like “travelguy” so I don’t even know how to address him other than the username? I sent him a voice note to see if that would make him more comfortable, and he still dodged giving out his name.
He has pictures on his profile and seemed to be a nice guy, said that he’s single and without kids, so I didn’t see what the issue was. We had a conversation all through out the day about music, tv, traveling etc.
Im mentally exhausted and feel like actually deactivating my profile for now cause I feel a bit overwhelmed overall. The creeps, pic collectors, scammers, and guys that love to talk all day. It’s been a lot in just 3 days.
I was wondering how can I deal with the men who seem very chatty.
Is it rude to text or message once a day to check up on them or do SD’s expect a constant flow of attention through text / messaging? I’m talking about prior to meeting or course.
