Lifestyle-curious couple

My wife and I have been together for 25+ years, and she is only the fifth and last woman I’ve been with. We’re interested in exploring the lifestyle, but we want to be respectful, realistic, and honest before stepping into anything new.
I’m average-sized, so that’s not really the concern. The bigger thing is that I tend to have trouble lasting more than a couple of minutes, even during regular sex with my wife. Obviously, being in a new environment or around new people may add even more nerves and excitement.
For couples, women, and men who have experience in the lifestyle: how big of a deal is this really? Is it something most people are understanding about if the couple communicates well, or is it something we should work on before attending events/resorts?
We’re not looking for judgment or anything explicit — just honest advice on expectations, confidence, etiquette, and how to make sure everyone involved still has a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
