Urination pre- and post-phallo: how different is your stream? If you had a strong stream before phallo, did it remain just as strong after? Are there any differences you noticed in regards to stream and fully emptying your bladder?

I’ve got a pretty strong stream with my natal anatomy. When I pee standing with my natal anatomy, I can typically reach a distance of about 2-3 feet without any effort. (Problem is, I can’t pee standing with my natal anatomy with pants on… so pretty useless outside the shower and my own bathroom).

After you had your phalloplasty, did you notice any difference in your stream as far as strength or velocity goes?

Any tips for using the STP Freely as a heavier person?

I made a mistake. I poured so much time and research into finding the right STP, but I didn’t think about body size and STPs. I was more focused on other features. I feel like a dumbass.

I bought the STP Freely and it arrived today. First few attempts have been massive failures. It feels too small for my body, but I’d love to get it to work.

I think I’ll probably have to order the STP Freely XL, but I’d rather not spend more money if I don’t have to. I’m about 40ish pounds overweight, 5’3”. Does anyone have any tips for getting the STP Freely regular size to work when you’re overweight?

Editing to add what I’m having trouble with:

I can’t seem to get the cup properly positioned under my urethra while also being able to hold the shaft at the right angle for good flow. My stream tends to be pretty strong, but the flow out the shaft has no velocity at all, just goes straight down in a low-pressure dribble. I did discover that there was a small bit of silicone “skin” flap right behind the opening that was slowing the flow, so I turned it inside out and removed that flap. That seemed to help a little bit but it still doesn’t seem to get enough velocity to do anything other than drop straight down.

My belly protrudes just enough that I can’t see the tip when I’ve got the cup positioned over my urethra, so I feel like I’m just kind of aiming in the dark. Between that and the low velocity of the flow, I can’t see how I’d be able to use it with any clothes on or at a toilet (I’ve only practiced in the shower so far).

If you used a packer prior to phallo, how much did it help you, mentally? How different did a packer feel (mentally, emotionally, spiritually) from your post-op penis?

Please forgive me (and please correct me) if I’ve misused any phrasing or words. I buried my true self for 40 years, and am right at the start line with figuring everything out—including terms.

I’m still years away from having a phalloplasty. I bought my first STP packer in 23 years, and I’m eager for it to arrive. I bought one when I was 17, but after a few weeks I panicked and worried someone would find it. So I wrapped it in a grocery bag and tossed it in the trash on the way to school one morning. I still remember the feeling and how euphoric it felt to look down and see a penis (even if it was just a silicone one) on my body, like how I knew it was always supposed to be. But I only had it a few weeks, and back then I wouldn’t have ever even known about phalloplasty. I’d love to hear about long-term use and how it may have affected gender dysphoria in the years building up to your phalloplasty, if anyone is open to sharing.
